    Tito's Watermelon Spritz

I love their Triple Dipper appetizer. Those Nashville Hot mozzarella and Honey-Chipotle chicken crispers are the bomb! My Tito's Watermelon Spritz cocktail was delicious. Greg at the bar is awesome! Service was great.

I was very disappointed with the food and service today. I was out in the Melrose Park area and decide to stop here at Chili's. It's a new location which has been open up for awhile now. Upon entering, there was no one at the front entrance to greet customers or to be seated. I waited a good 15 minutes as I looked around to get someone's attention. The woman behind the bar looked and kept mixing drinks. Now there were other customers coming through the door. We waited and waited until I had enough. I saw someone cleaning tables and politely asked could I be seated. Finally the woman behind the bar speaks and say someone would be up shortly. That should of been my cue to leave and spend my money somewhere else. I was seated and I waited another 10 minutes of my time. What can I say? I was hungry and ready to ordered. I ordered the Texas Cheese Fries and a glass of Cocoa Cola. My Texas Cheese Fries arrived and all I saw was a pile of melted cheese. There was so much cheese and a few fries underneath the mile of mess. I had to pull cheese back with my fork in order to get to the fries. The inside is nice and clean. The service and food presentation and taste needs improvement. As, I'm driving home my stomach begins to bubble. Now I have an upset stomach. The one star goes to the decor and nothing more. Typically, I try to avoid chain restaurants, but recently I found myself at this location for the first time in years. We walked in on a sunny Saturday afternoon and were greeted immediately. We sat in a booth near the windows in the front of the restaurant. I don't recall our waiter's name, but he was pleasant and attentive. I was with my sister, and we shared an appetizer, chicken fingers, and dessert. The chips and salsa were just as I remembered. The chips were salty, and the salsa tasted store-bought. There was nothing authentic about it, but it was edible. The chicken fingers and fries were hot and tasty. We also had the chocolate lava cake, but it wasn't very good. We took a few bites and pushed it aside. Overall, Chili's was a decent choice for a quick lunch. The restaurant was clean, quiet, and comfortable. It'll probably be years before I return, if ever, but I don't regret my selection that day. Sometimes it's nice to dine at an old faithful.

I know this location gets busy, we've waited for a table before but this time we got food to go. This location is new so everything is still nice and clean. Our order was ready when we arrived and pickup was quick. But I paid extra for extra cheese and there was barely any.

Triple dippers are to die for and the cookie icecream cake thing was amazing being warm with the cookie and cold with the ice cream.

I love that as soon as you enter, you are transported to a tropical oasis that is dark and moody. I visited with a larger group so we made a reservation before. One pays $5 per person in your group and the amount is later applied to your bill. The food menu is minimal and most items weren't available sadly. We got two orders of their pineapple salsa with taro chips. It was yummy but wasn't enough substance to match the drink levels. For drinks, our group got a wide variety. They have all sorts of flavor pairings to accommodate every guest. I got the Captain's Revenge after hearing the Pearl Diver was unavailable. It was good but not amazing. For my second drink, I got the Chocolate Banana Old Fashioned which I thoroughly enjoyed. I didn't hear anyone in our group be disappointed with what they ordered. Our server, Jazmine, was very knowledgable about the menu and asking the right questions to make sure what we each ordered would be something we liked. Overall, this was a fun experience and I am happy I finally got to visit! My experience was slightly tainted with how much was not available the night we visited.

Started to head to the most highly rated place on yelp but the parking lot of Phil's was inviting. Ended up being a wonderfully diverse crowd. WW..E or F, lots of fighting. ...whatever was not my favorite thing to watch, but just trying to hang out and turning off March Madness was not a big deal. But young Joe and I believe his brother run their grandfather's place, this Phil's. Authentic people, Joe a super good guy. People and their scuff mark presence and Joe's good heart and diversity will make this a place of increasing character. Hang out there, and continue to add your character. I will be back.

Italian Beef Crawl Stop #4:…read more Starting to get slowed down by the volume of beefs and beers, this short trip to the next bar was more than welcome. As we entered there were about two guys in there having an afternoon beer. My friend rolls up and orders a long line of glasses and pitcher after pitcher after pitcher. I commented to him, "This looks like a scene out of a Western flick where the banditos rob the money train and then go in all out buying whiskey!" Some folks picked up the ping pong paddles and started to play a game, still a few more popped in some quarters for Silver Strike Bowling and some others played some pool. I contented myself walking around and chugging out of the small glasses. The outdoors area was sweet with tables and lots of room out in the sun. We did run into some west siders who all had an opinion of where to get good beefs, but Johnnie's would be the next leg of the beef crawl. We probably ended staying here the longest and spent the most money than any other of the bars. We eventually ended up staying at Phil's and then eating Johnnie's at Phil's. The tables were big enough, so there was room for everyone to eat and keep drinking. All in all a decent bar with lots of sports banners, neon lights and cheap beer. A bit far out of my way and nothing compelling to bring me back, but definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood.
