Don't go to Positano's if you are pregnant, elderly, or have a condition that comes on you suddenly to have to use the restroom. I was told they have no washroom and there was no apology or gentleness about her manner. I had already put my order in. I went a few doors down to David's Mexican Grill who has a restroom for their customers. I ordered another meal as long as I was there - no big deal to eat one that night and save the other for next day. When I went to pick up my Positano order I complained about the washroom situation and the rude young woman hit me with, "You don't let strangers in your house to use your bathroom, do you?" she demanded. I pointed out that a home is not a business and said I wouldn't be back but I would Yelp. The eggplant parmesan was good; they just don't believe in good customer relations. David's meal was excellent, as was their attitude. I have been there several times and that is always the case. Just sayin. read more

Ordered DoorDash because I'm rained in with a toddler and they did not disappoint! My DoorDash order for some reason got held up because DOORDASH couldn't find drivers, I don't know if Positanos took it upon themselves to give me a fresh order of fries because it took so long (again DoorDashs fault- not the driver or restaurant) or if their fries just stay fresh for this long but either way, such great food quality, perfectly packaged and so affordable! read more

1st time at Positano's but not our last. We were 2 couples and we each ordered different entrees that all 4 of us loved. I had the white fish, my husband had shrimp/linguini, the other couple had chicken Marsala and a pasta. We had the sausage appetizer and the meatball appetizers. Welcome to the first pizza place with banking hours. And even when they are scheduled to open they are always a disappointment and choice to close shop for the day or claim they'll open later. And to top it all off when they are open they have just the most unpleasant cashier in the front. (Don't be surprised if you walk in and immediately think no one is working, and 5 seconds later here comes the grumpiest cashier, and even if you have an honest question about something on the menu you get the nastiest of attitude like if you asking a question just to get on her nerves. Honestly I recommend you consider going to sneakers on grand ave, or shwings on Mannheim. Not worth giving this place any more money if this is how they think a business is kept. read more

I won't be coming here anymore. When they had the dining room their food was fresh. Yesterday I ordered a basic pasta meal with meatballs. I never got the meatballs with my meal and the pasta tasted like it was reheated. I'm not kidding. 12 minutes to cook noodles and you serve precooked noodles? You know how I know? I do this at home but when you spend $12 to $15 on a meal you expect fresh pasta! Also, for a place that's been here awhile you hardly see anyone in line at the counter. Not a good sign. Some of the other items to eat are ok but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would! Ordered through door dash and I received the wrong pizza. I called and explained that on my end it said thin crust. I received a deep dish pan pizza instead. When I called the lady on the phone was super defensive and very rude! She said she received the order as a pan pizza. I tried to explain it might have been an error on door dash and she said she would fall DoorDash and send them a picture of the order and that it wasn't there fault. She kept cutting me off and being a bitch. I loved this place and it was super easy to pick up dinner after picking up my kids from school. I'll never go here again and will let all my friends and family in the area know how rude and unprofessional the staff is here. I was really let down. Ordered linguine with clams in olive oil. It said tender diced clams. What I got was 5 clams in the shell, no problem here but what I really didn't like was it looked like they subbed mussels as there were quite s few of them, I hate mussels and would never had ordered it if I knew that If this is how they serve it it should say that. read more

The Iceland park nearby is a great place to be followed by friendly dogs, must be the pizza. Quite possibly the worst family dining experience I've ever had. I have 2 little kids so I order my dine in pizza before heading to the restaurant. I ordered the pizza at 5:50pm, arrived at 6:20 and it still took another 1/2 hour to get the pizza. Here's the kicker....after asking several times what's up with the pizza it came to our table COLD! The ditzy waitress said, "What do you want me to do, put it back in the oven?" Wait, what??? Let me also add, I was not offered a high chair or any bread for my kids that were starving at that point. I found this little hidden gem randomly when I had a huge craving for some Italian food at work. I came here during my lunch hour with my friend and was pleasantly surprised by how empty the place was (I didn't want to have to wait long for a seat or anything like that). I was very happy with the variety of selection there was on the menu - many different pastas, pesce and chicken dishes available. I ended up going for the lasagna, and it was absolutely delicious! I've been working at my company for 6 years and can't believe I never knew this place was right down the street. I've told my other co-workers about it and we all definitely plan on coming back here. The food was absolutely terrible. Calamari tasted frozen, marinara sauce came out of a jar. Not worth the $10. The chicken parm tasted frozen as well, same jar sauce. Lobster ravioli, again, tasted frozen. Sugar laced sauce. The only thing that tasted homemade was their cream of chicken soup, and it was disgusting and bland. I don't think there is an actual chef back there. I only gave this place a try because I picked up a restaurant.com gift certificate, and I absolutely regret it. This place was a waste of my money. We left and drove to another restaurant in the neighborhood to have dinner instead. In terms of ambiance, they seem to have some sort of alien blinding device installed in their dining room for lighting. SP reference, in case you didn't catch that. Definitely not date night atmosphere. Apparently the bathroom is nice and clean though. Lastly, we were never given silverware with our food so we had to take some off an empty table nearby. I found this through restaurant.com and I liked my lobster ravioli. We also had the seafood and it was very good, nice size portions. The prices are very good as well. The service was a little slow and the waiter forgot a couple of things and had to go back to get them and he wasn't in any hurry to return to our table. If your looking for a classic Italian restaurant with a New York trained chef you're not going to find it here, but for the money I thought the food was good. I stopped for dinner here one night after work and ordered a Eggplant Parm sandwich and fries. It was a long wait for take out. I think I waited a good 20 minutes. Also, the food had a funny taste -like they used too much of some spice that permeated everything -the fries, the bread. Maybe oregano?? I'm not really a foodie but it was an herbal / spice smell / taste. I ate it....I was hungry. But I was disappointed. I had never tasted anything like that before. Usually this type of food is pretty standard despite the place or location. I suppose that would be great news if you are a big oregeno fan. I have been back a few more times and the service is always great. What a shame that not too many people seem to know about this place. The last time I went, I ordered the salmon and have to say that it was disappointing. Definitely stick to the Italian dishes on the menu, which impress. Their thin crust pizza is pretty good - the crust was crispy and I liked the sauce. The bread they serve is always tasty - they must get it fresh from the bakery next door. One thing worth mentioning is the bathroom. I have never seen such a pristine bathroom in any restaurant I have gone to. Not only it is beautifully decorated, it is clean. This speaks volumes to the hygiene of the restaurant altogether. I will be back- this is the perfect place for a Sunday dinner and it's close to home. read more

I moved to Schiller Park not so long ago and was passing through this location every day and today decided to order pizza for delivery. Order was prepared very fast and delivered fast as well. We had a wonderful 5oth birthday party here and everyone had the best time! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was great - everyone was so attentive and friendly. The management knew how to handle a large catering event and was very accommodating to our requests. The food is phenomenal! Best Lasagna, Meatballs & Marinara Sauce I've ever tasted!! Excellent Italian sausage and beef, pasta, pizza & chicken limone. I've tried Positano's twice once for carry out and once for dine in on a Friday night with the family. The carry out was good, a large sausage pepperoni pizza which I would give five stars. As far as the dine in goes we arrived Friday night around eight and the restaurant was virtually empty with just one other couple dining in. The girl seemed surprised that we were asking to be seated, but she took us to a table right next to the couple "awkward" as the place was empty, so I asked to be moved as I was with my two kids and didn't want the couple to be bothered. Okay, all good ordered BBQ wings and fried mushrooms as appetizers and a large sausage and pepperoni pizza. So we wait, and wait the order now arrives the pizza and BBQ wings together no mushrooms? The fried mushrooms arrived five minutes later. I thought appetizers come before the meal?? Nothing worse than being rushed, really it's a Friday night and the place is dead how do you screw the order timing up? The BBQ wings were chewy and had what tasted like store bought BBQ sauce put on them at the very end almost cold, the mushrooms were nothing special arrived late and probably frozen from a bag, the pizza however was all that kept things from being a bust. Give the pizza five stars service two stars at best. Staff is very young probably family members and not very well trained so they have no clue, but that goes on the ownership for poor training. I'm pretty disappointed! The service was so slow! We were the ONLY table in the place having dinner and there were two servers working (we were a party of 4). Our server was slow to take our order, bring our food not to mention all of our food didn't even make it out at the same time. To me that's a big NO-NO! It's horrible sitting there with your food in front of you steaming hot while there are others sitting there waiting for their food. Our server also forgot to bring a glass of wine that was ordered again let me say we were the ONLY table in there how do you forget to bring a glass of wine to your table?!! So I wanted to give this place more stars today, but just didn't have the best dine in experience today with my coworkers. We had a group of 9, and we wanted to celebrate together of working out together with a nice lunch. That didn't happen. We were given water glasses, but didn't get water till about 15 minutes after being sat. One of us ordered apple juice, only to have to keep asking for it, for her to tell us they didn't' have any. It was noon on a Friday, you would think we were there on a lunch break. We didn't get asked what we wanted either till about 25 minutes after we sat down. Around 1:10 an hour after we arrived, portions of the food came out and most of us had to take our "salads" to go and back to work, while the rest of us dined in. Our problem was not so much with the restaurant, the cleanliness, the atmosphere at all, it was the service. The waitress, and her name is ANA did not even look us in the eye as we asked for to go boxes, or the fact that it has taken over 30 minutes for a salad. It's a shame that we all left with a grudge. I mean I just got finished writing a review about how awesome my waitress was at an establishment in Villa Park, just the night before. Also- grub hub and the menu says the the Chicken Wrap doesn't come with anything, and it does it actually comes with a side of fries, so when you dine in or pick up, don't order an extra side of fries. This restaurant needs to update their menu's' for lunch. Customer service is everything! read more

I order from Positano's regularly, though I usually come in to get it because I live nearby and it's faster that way - it's consistently ready for pickup in 25 minutes. I have no experience with their delivery, have only dined in a couple times, and generally order pizza rather than other dinner entrees (although the few times I've done that, it's been pretty decent as well). The first thing I have to mention is that Franklin Park has quite a few good pizza places in and around town. So it's not like Positano's is the only game in town. That said, they have stuck around for awhile now and with good reason. The best time to order is on Monday or Tuesday nights because they have a deal for half price pizza if you buy something else along with it (an appetizer or soda is good enough) I've had just about every non-premium topping on their thin crust pizzas, and there's never been any cause for complaint. The pizza is hot, the cheese and toppings taste good, there's a bit of spice in there so it's never bland, and I've never had it overcooked (burned crust can completely ruin a pizza, and that's a mistake I've never seen Positano's make). The only thing that could be better is if they had more options for meat toppings that didn't cost double. They also have a BLT pizza that's pretty interesting, though they put a ton of lettuce on it so it gets everywhere. I've also had their mozzarella sticks and fried zucchini appetizers, and found both to be very good. I can't speak for their delivery service, but I definitely recommend them for takeout. read more

Loved it! Their dining room has a great atmosphere, perfect for date night. They have a separate area for people getting take out. My boyfriend and I got the fried cheese ravioli with marinara sauce for an appetizer. I've never had that before but it was pretty tasty. Our waitress also brought us some incredibly soft bread and olive oil. We shared a thin crust pepperoni pizza, which we really enjoyed. It had fresh basil on top. We had to fight over leftovers the next day. I didn't care too much for my pinot grigio, but that's not the restaurant's fault. Oh and we didn't realize until the bill came that Mondays and Tuesdays are 1/2 off pizza days. Score! We'd definitely go back. read more
