TERRIBLE SERVICE!! I visited your facility today as a…read moreregular and was granted access with my GOVERNMENT ISSUED Temporary ID (given to me by the Department of Motor Vehicle). Once I began playing pool, my partner attempted to buy us both drinks from the bar where the bartender (Megan) then told him that a law was made by the state where patrons are no longer allowed to use Temporary Identification. Thats false! There is no law that states that, nor was she able to give the Codes to said Law. Both Megan and another bartender Ana later allowed a man with an expired digital Identification to buy a drink. It's visible on your security footage. Obviously due to the hypocrisy, I believe we were being racially profiled. We were then told that I needed to leave the facility for drinking even though I am 29yrs old. I am very upset! I have eagerly introduced a large customer basis to your facilities and have been a regular for the past two years but will now be spreading the word on an industry level about my terrible encounter. I am extremely disappointed in your staffing choices. Megan and Ana both should face disciplinary action for this but because they look like new hires I will not be returning and will potentially open an investigation into this matter. Drink prices were reasonable enough as well. Service was a little on the slow side, but I'll chalk it up to it being St. Patrick's Day as it was pretty darn busy and they were clearly hustling. The one weird thing was that they had the karaoke set up so the people who were singing were standing right inside the door. So literally you walk in and you're right upon the person who's singing. Kind of awkward, and when we went to leave we had to kind of finagle around a group that was singing to get out.

Maybe one craft beer, but nothing special there. And no food. The staff is nice enough, especially if you're a regular. If it's your first time in, then just be your friendly self and you'll be fine. This is by far the diviest dive bar in the area. You're kinda taking your life into your hands coming here (alright, not really true, but it can feel like it). Other bars in the area (along Madison Ave or up closer to the Green Line stop) are going to be a little nicer, friendlier and you're probably less likely to get hepatitis.
