A little hard to find at first, but the bar is located right inside of Trattoria Peppino restaurant. The bar is nice, there is low lighting and plenty of space to sit. The calamari was good and the drink "Indigo" was OK, a little sour for my liking so I don't think I'd order a second time. They have slots in the back which I think could be fun if you're just looking for something casual to do in the area. Sounds like they have karaoke as well! read more

I really love this spot! It's right in Elmwood Park, so it's close to home, which is so much better than having to go far for places that are similar. This establishment is two awesome places in one! On one side, you have a bar, TVs and the whole cocktail bar feel. On the other side it's an extremely lovely European American restaurant! The restaurant is amazing! The food is so good and you wouldn't expect it out of a restaurant/bar. The spinach and artichoke dip is one of the best that I've had because you can tell that it is not store-bought, and that it's made there! Delicious! Their calamari really surprised me though because of how well it was breaded and fried. I have officially put their calamari on my list as one of the best in Chicago. The main courses that I tried were super good as well. The Zuppa di Mare/seafood pasta was so elegant and flavorful made with a black pasta, so not only was it good to eat, it was beautiful to look at as well. The cheesecake was the perfect ending to everything. What was surprising though was the drinks! They have a cocktail list that you have to try! My two favorite drinks were the P*rnstar and Indigo. They were so good! The indigo was so good that you could barely taste the alcohol, and the flavors were yummy! Try them!!! I was there on a Friday and at around 9 o'clock. Karaoke started with disco lights, and it was super cool. I'd highly recommend this place for a night out where you can enjoy really good food, good drinks, and karaoke! The entree was lamb chops with mashed potatoes ohhhh it was literally too pretty to eat lol but it was a nice portion not too much but enough to get you full! The sauce was another favorite and I had to ask for more as I'm a dipper it was very rich and flavorful! The lamb chops were medium well - so it was cooked to perfection!! Now can we talk about the drinks! Again based on Nina's recommendation I got the pink coco (2) and the upstate vodka fresh and I loved them all!! Overall the meals were great-reasonably menu with lots of option for beef, pasta, chicken, salad and sea food! They even had a few vegan options! Their prices in my opinion were reasonable for this meal of summed up to about $85 with taxes but did have 3 drinks and salad w entree! Great food, fast service, and intimate ambiance for a Tuesday night. We got the specials -- salmon pizza, steak, and lamb chops. I've never had salmon pizza before and it was surprisingly tasty and not fishy. The steak was standard. BUT the lamb chops were a start hit -- very flavorful and tender, well seasoned, and great tasting. We also got their most popular drink - the Pornstar Martini. VERY good! 2 will get you buzzed. So karaoke girl is very rude and racist. The restaurant in the same building is super cute and looks like it would be a perfectly wonderful cozy dinner date. The bar is a fairly seemless extension in motif with a wonderfully friendly staff helping get this new venue off the ground. The mojitos looked great and would likely have been our second drink of choice given the bartender's familiarity with it. The smoked old fashioned was fun for its novelty but the drink itself needed a bit more citrus/sweetness/spice to really give it the complexity a good old fashioned deserves. In all the music was the right volume for good conversation and the 80's selection for the evening left you reminiscent for days gone by. It is a good start for a new venue (only having just opened) and I definitely look forward to dropping in again for a mojito and possibly some food from the sister restaurant. Stopped on a rainy Saturday afternoon and sat on the enclosed patio. It was cozy! Nadia was an excellent server. Incredibly warm and welcoming, gave great recommendations, and prompt. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food, due to this being a bit of an undiscovered gem. Wr shared a soup, salad and chicken parm. Everything was delicious with sizable portions to share. We eat out often. This was the best meal and service we can recall in awhile. We will definitely return.
