To be fair , I haven't been to Chilis in a really long time so I have no idea if this has been a long gradual decline or a recent fall from its hay day but man - this place is lacking! It honestly felt more like a golden coral sans the buffet. Things felt dirty and dark and dated. The food was okay. The service was lacking from the moment we walked in the door and for the ambiance and food quality it was way over priced. Skip this spot if it's on your list. We have ate at this Chilis and others many times. It was as expected. I ordered the Bacon Ranch Quesadillas lunch special for $8. It came with a salad. We also ordered some chips and salsa. Always a favorite for the kids. Overall the service was good, considering we had a bunch of loud kids with us. Ah, Chili's. One of the classic American family restaurants I grew up watching commercials for. It's a familiar-feeling place, even if it's your first time visiting the establishment. Allow yourself to giggle at being greeted with the now-iconic phrase "Hi, welcome to Chili's!" Our party of 5 joined the waitlist via the Yelp app, and when we checked in at the restaurant, we were sat immediately! Our server was extremely kind and prompt with taking our drink orders, and the fresh chips and salsa arrived quickly! The fried pickles were piping hot and crispy, with a perfect ratio of breading-to-pickle and a delicious house-made ranch to dunk them in. The southwestern egg rolls had subtle flavors, with the sweet corn adding a refreshing pop. The cilantro ranch was cool and creamy, the perfect compliment! The honey-chipotle chicken crispers weren't fully coated in the sauce, but the crispy breading and juicy chicken made them delicious anyways! The ribeye was cooked okay, it was slightly over the requested temperature but the flavor of the beef was incredibly savory and the meat itself was succulent and tender. The loaded mash was creamy and covered in gooey melted cheddar, making each bite a rich explosion of indulgence. The california turkey club is served on a buttery roll, the first of many things done right by this sandwich. A mountain of shaved turkey, veggies, salty bacon and buttery avocado atop a cilantro-pesto mayo. Yep, you can go ahead and order one. You won't regret it. :) read more

We had the most awesome waiter at Chili's, yesterday. His name is Chris (Chili's in Midvale) and he was on top of things, making sure our drinks were always filled, and our food came out promptly...and the food was really good! I had the Margarita Chicken which was cooked to perfection, not dry or undercooked. The seasoning on it was quite tasty w/a hint of lime...yum! To top it off, he gave us chips n salsa to go...my favorite! It was an overall great meal and fantastic service. Well ask for Chris, from now on. I completely understand short staff issues. Our waitress was doing the best she could with her 5 tables. But it took nearly two hours to receive our food; and once we did it was ice cold. We got it to go and took it home to reheat it. The chicken was spoiled as we got food poisoning and were up all night throwing up. So... sounds like they need to close down for a week, do a thorough kitchen cleaning and order fresh food. Or just stay closed if they can't safely serve their guests. read more

We asked for grilled chicken and no grill marks were present. Looked like it was microwaved. The burger looked and tasted like nothing before. Could barely finish half. Service was good. They are amazing!! I'm not a ranch lover but it's a great combination. On weekends they do have a wait sometimes but we always sit by the bar or the tall tables and we never wait. I waited 45 mins behind 2 groups before being seated & we stared at open seats the whole time!!! August 15,2020 Sandy UT location This was a to go order. Chili's is guilty of FALSE ADVERTISING. I am a Chili's rewards member and as such I received an email telling me the ribs are on the 3 for $10 menu until August 31. When I ordered the ribs I was informed there is a $4 "up charge" for the ribs on the 3 for $10. REALLY??? That means they ARE NOT ON THE 3 for $10 menu are they??? I also ordered chips & salsa and asked for a printed receipt but when i got home i had neither. I'll make sure everyone I know will know CHILI's is dishonest. Weird...what a baffling experience. We showed up at 9:30 (closes at 11). 5 minutes went by before we were greeted by a host. No one was up front. It was as though we walked into a closed restaurant. We opted for the bar and sat there for another 10 minutes. The host noticed and said, "I don't know where the bartender is but she'll be back soon." Uh huh. Finally put in a drink and appetizer order. It's not busy but everything is sloooooooooow. Way slow. The funny part is I worked at this restaurant in my early 20s. Can't say I remember this odd lackadaisical attitude. We got drinks. I was so hungry I filled up on chips as we didn't get our food until near closing, and this was after I asked for it. I actually asked for it to go because my wife and I were so tired of waiting. I couldn't finish my meal at home because I went from being hungry to that miserable beyond of hunger. You know the feeling. Just so odd to see no one in the place and have this disjointed service. Again, like we were in a closed restaurant. This place has just lost it. The waiters are friendly and are mostly still trying but management has totally checked out. The restaurant is grubby, the kind of dirty from months and months of no one doing any deep cleaning or holding any standards. $18 for fajitas that had barely warmed onions and was missing the chipotle butter which would have helped add some flavor. I usually send back the cheese/salsa/guac plate when it comes out with crusty cheese from being prepped way to far in advance. I didn't bother tonight, just dug under the crunchy shreds of cheese and ignored the weeping sour cream and brown tinges on the guacamole. This is one of their signature dishes, god help the fool who orders something they don't sell a lot of. This location and probably the chain as a whole needs an "under new management" sign and some effort put into the restaurant. I haven't been to this location in years. I was in the area so we stopped in. We sat down quickly. And within a few minutes our server was taking our drink order. Then asked if we were ready to order, which we were. So he started taking our order. He was punching it in on electronica keypad, like an iPad. So before we were even done ordering our food, someone else was bringing our drinks to us. Fast! And as we walked away, someone brought out my soup! Holy cow that was fast! The meals were pretty quick as well. This is a great system! Our waiter was very nice. My only complaint was the menu was a bit different than the last time I was there. They didn't have a ton of things that interested me. So I ended up ordering an appetizer trio. Which was ok. But didn't really feel like a meal. Although it did fill me up. I'm really glad places like this are still open. A big menu with lots of good options. The food is almost always really good too. My big issue is with the curbside. Curbside is horrible. When they arrive at your car they are really nice but they take forever to get to your car. I've had to go in and get my food a few times because I've gotten tired of waiting. Really sucks to have to walk in and see the food just laying there waiting for someone to take it to you, who knows how long it's been sitting there. Well, I have recently learned that the cool thing is to love local and hate chain...ha ha. This is all news to me... So, I dig Chili's. I always get the skillet queso with bottomless chips & salsa. And the fajitas. Yum-o. The waiters at this location generally seem to be better than the others. Diet Coke never runs low. Crowds aren't too crazy. Pulling in to this shopping center from Ft. Came here with a large group on Saturday evening. The staff went out of their way to accommodate all of us and were super polite and helpful! Because of the size of the group we were spaced out for social distancing, and we had several people taking care of the whole group. Normally I like to time how long it takes between when I'm seated, and then again until I get my food. But on this occasion my table had chips and drinks so quickly that I forgot to start my timer!
