The service was great and yummmm on the food!!! we both had the same thing which was pick two combo, crispy chicken and brisket quesadillas. I have to tell you the brisket quesadillas were off the hook. We also had the skillet beef queso, which is also another staple we have when we go. Our waitress was great. She always checked on us and made sure our cups were full. I like the fact she brought out our side salads early so we could start on those before the main course came. It's great. They have changed the menu, removed all of our favorites and the ONLY thing good was the mini hamburgers. We had recently visited this Chillis and all was good. I assume they made changes to gain profits, but how much profit will they be making when no one comes back. It's typical that places change what has been working for years, to try and make it better. Great food with generous portion sizes that are much larger than typical fast-food meals. I also really enjoyed their specialty drinks. The restaurant has a fun atmosphere, with games available to play while you wait for your food (for an additional fee). Stopped in for a late lunch, so it wasn't too crowded. Service was a bit slow but I had pleasant company so it was fine. The food arrived nice and hot and the portions were large. Normally this place is fine and a few of my friends work here. This particular night was awful. Waited over an hour for our food before I finally asked for a box so we could leave as soon as it got there, and promptly paid. Well to my surprise, another 30 minutes goes by and our food is still nowhere in sight. A quesadilla, chicken bowl, and chicken tenders. That's just simply unacceptable. I requested a full refund and tipped the waitress personally, who was very polite and apologetic. I'm not even going to mention everything about the order was wrong. No chicken bowl at all, a cheese PIZZA (what?) , and they almost got the chicken tenders right, but I specifically requested the sauce on the side, but that was messed up too. I came in at 10:05pm they close at 10:30pm. The greeter was below average. I give him a 3.5 out of 10. Did not feel welcome. The server on the other hand was very nice. She did a good job. I give her a 8.5 out of 10. She could have checked on me more often. I came for the new Smash Burger. The flavor of the meat was average at best. Of course that is the main feature of a hamburger! I give the meat a 5.2 out of 10. The bun was average, it was soft, not a ton of flavor, a 7.1 out of 10. The condiments were fine, the thousand Island dressing was fine, it did not taste like a Big Mac though if that is your goal. The burger looks delicious so the actual burger presentation was excellent. I give the total burger a 6.2 out of 10. The French fries were excellent! Nicely seasoned and hot! This restaurant needs a complete overhaul! An employee told me the reason why it's so cold in there is because if it was warmer... the floors would be too slick from grease in the dining hall! Stopped for lunch on the way to St.Augustine. While the servers wore masks, most were worn below their noses or chins. The food was standard Chili's - good, not exceptional. Service was slow. Although mandatory mask wearing sign on entrance door, was not enforced. There was absolutely no social distancing, but worse than that, no sanitizing what so ever. Tables and chairs filthy. Had to ask staff to clean table and he used a paper towel to clean, wiping only half the table. All the tables around us were left just as previous diners left them. We were there about 55 minutes and never saw anyone clean anything. This Chili's location in Palatka, Florida is a breeding ground for COVID-19! Unclean and unsafe!! read more

I've been a few times to this location and I find it just to be your typical chili's. I'm not generally a huge fan of Chili's since it's so unhealthy and this location doesn't have much to it that makes me want to return. The service can range from okay to not good depending on who you get that day. The food is pretty consistent which is pretty normal for chains like these but I feel like every time we get chips and salsa the chips are always more greasy than any other chili's I've been to. We visited the Palatka location today for lunch and we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the bar area. When we arrived we chose to set at a table in the bar area, when told we could go over to the table we realized the table had not been cleaned. We waited and decided to take a seat while my mother stood, we were then approached by the door greater who was also cleaning tables and was asked if there was a problem? My mother said yes actually the table needed to be cleaned and did they sanitize? He then said oh yes and grabbed a paper towel and briefly whipped it off leaving crumbs. We were very disappointed and choose to stay and eat. I feel like the restaurant is not taking proper precautions to ensure the public is staying healthy and they are sure not following covid protocol. Was in town overnight for business and Chilis was the only full serve restaurant in the area that I was familiar with. I was greeted by a friendly hostess and sat right away, and my server who didn't give me his name, was quick to take my drink order. I also ordered the guacamole and chip that came with salsa, the chips were fresh and warm, the guacamole was really good too. Never been a big fan of Chilis salsa, tastes like they over do it with cilantro, but good. I ordered the Ancho Salmon that came with rice and broccoli, the salmon was excellent, it wasn't over cooked like most chain restaurants do. The Ancho sauce added a very nice flavor without masking the flavor of the fish. The rice was fine, nothing wonderful, but good, the broccoli was a little tough, it may have been microwaved ? My only complaint at this Chilis is they don't have WiFi ! I mean come on, even most Subways, McDonalds, and Wendy's have WiFi. I think the reason they don't offer it is so you will want to play with their Ziosk touch screen tablet on the table. The only normal looking place in town for some drinks. It's Chili's. You know what you're getting into. You won't find an entree with less than 1700 calories, but you love that skillet chili cheese dip and you're going to scrape the bottom out. I've been to this location several times in the past couple months dine in and curb side and the same issues persist. The service is terrible especially for curb side! The staff leaves you sitting there 10-15 minutes after check in waiting for your order! You end up having to call and remind them that you're there and by the time you get your order is COLD, not even warm--straight up COLD! The last time I picked up an order the girl basically shoved my bag through the window and it almost spilt in my car! The dine in service isn't must better--again cold food by the time it reaches the table. Drinks are left empty. The waitress didn't input the order correctly, and when we inquired about our bill she blamed us! Her "solution" wasn't removing the items we never received because she said she couldn't do that, instead she separated them on a different check and told us to pay only the one check listed for our table.
