Husband and I stopped for lunch, first & last time at a Palatka Longhorn Steakhouse in this town. Sundays are usually busy for lunch most places, but we were seated within reasonable time. Wish I could say same about lunch. Ordered steak and it was so overly salted it I couldn't eat it! I would not even feed it to my dog! Recommend to let customer add or not add salt/seasoning to their liking! Just had a wonderful experience here! Our server was named Tibet, which is cool, and she was lovely. We stuck to ordering apps and small dishes, and a few glasses of wine as well. Everything came out perfect and pretty quickly! The honey glazed brussel sprouts are an absolute must have! And the Mac and cheese will have you feeling like you've died and gone to heaven. My mom ordered the wings, which aren't traditional buffalo style, but rather a smoky/roasted style... I would just like to say that the service was excellent. The young lady that took my order was a trainee and even though she was learning she was very articulate and thorough . Now the problem I do have is the food I ordered dry ribs with BBQ sauce on the side. The ribs looked as if they had just come out of boiling water. Longhorn, as always, is consistent; I had an outlaw ribeye cooked perfectly and seasoned the way I expected. I generally do not drink while dining out, so I cannot review the bar; however, the staff and service were up to par with what I have seen across the country at all Longhorn restaurants. There are some new restaurant issues and staff issues that are natural, obviously with, you guessed it, new restaurants. Sure, sometimes servers didn't stop and cover other servers' tables when they had the opportunity, but that felt like they were unaware of that opportunity to help out or new to the "business." I blame this on being new to the business. Otherwise, the restaurant was welcoming and cozy. We were sat within moments of coming in, with lots of patrons in the dining hall. The whole place felt very relaxed and friendly, like seeing an old friend from school. The Texas tonions were nicely seasoned and pleasantly crunchy despite being huge fingers of onion. Do not expect an onion that has bloomed. These are individual fried morsels. Strawberry salad was a good tartness and fresh with two whole strawberries sliced into the shallow bowl. Despite being more, it is in a bowl that appears smaller than the house salad. The steak... every bite was tender and juicy. I got the Flo and hubby got the t-bone. There was enough for leftover steak breakfast. Spice was just right and not too overpowering or underwhelming. The brussel sprouts were charred in the way that feels like a backyard barbecue on Memorial Day weekend. The sweet sauce drizzled over them was a nice addition. New to Palatka we finally had the chance to try the steak house. I'm so glad we did! As soon as you walk in the door there smell of the food was amazing an makes you even hungrier! It wasn't that crowded and only had a 15 minute wait so we decided to wait an the bar an have a drink. The bartender was great an gave great selections as to what we wanted. The bar was very nice an the restaurant as well. It's very well decorated an tons of space. Once we were seated our waitress came an took another drink order an brought out bread. The bread was nice an warm a great start to the meal. She was quick to come back and take our order as we never had to wait on anything. We had 2 appetizers the stuffed mushrooms and onion petals both were very good an came out quick. For the main course I had the filet mignon and the loaded baked potato with a pecan strawberry salad. My husband had the parmesan chicken and ribs and a loaded baked potato as well an house salad . Both were perfect! My filet was was med well cooked perfectly an melted in my mouth. The flavor was spot on. My husband's chicken Parmesan, and ribs were also cooked perfectly with great flavor. My friend Ella had the ribeye again perfect an Sammie had the T-bone again cooked perfectly to order an amazing flavor. All in all, I have to say food and the service were perfect! To be honest Palatka needs a restaurant like this, it's a little upscale while still being casual and they offer solid food. The staff was fabulous when I was there for lunch, I had a lunch salad and unfortunately it wasn't prepared the way I asked but the staff really worked to overcome that. I wish I could have had more than salad but I couldn't but my the table had wings and my dad had a burger. They all looked great. read more

The food, is awesome and if by chance a mistake was made they are actually happy to help resolve any issues that may happen. Of course the variety of meals are typical of all of their restaurants. I talked with the manager (a female working last Saturday evening) and she quickly cut me off and said that that is the way Long Horn requires them to season their steaks!! I was hesitant to try this Long Horns because I'd had such bad experiences in Jacksonville at a couple different Longhorns. This one was definitely better. There were 3 of us and we all enjoyed the meal enough to go back when we save up enough to go again. Prices are definitely upscale, which doesn't compute with the sports-bar level background noise and huge television screens which for me sort of cancelled out the pleasant ambiance of the restaurant side (versus the bar side). Staff was friendly, professional and responsive. Our waiter was new but was able to answer all questions as well as make very good recommendations. Appetizer was very enjoyable and generous. Sides were very well prepared and generous as well. Steaks were perfectly cooked and delicious until the salt level sent my blood pressure through the roof. Visited new Longhorn Steakhouse in Palatka for Christmas dinner with Family. If you have more than 4 family members prepare for a long wait. They only had 4 tables for over 4 people. Had wide open areas that could had held more tables to pull together a Family of Five. Husband got the cheaper ribeye streak ordered cooked to medium. Thin as a pancake and and well done. My medium sirloin was more well done. Yes we should had sent them back but after waiting so long the family of 5 were very hungry. I realize the Holidays were busy. We went to the Palatka location on my Birthday. The salad, bread, and drinks were good, however when it came to the dinner I ordered a steak and a baked potato. They were both extremely salty.
