We were on our way to one of our usual restaurants, when we took a shortcut and came across this little gem! Inside and out it was just a delight! The hostess and servers were pleasant and engaging, but let's talk about the food. There were at least three items on the menu that I was struggling with choosing. My wife had the same problem. She ended up with a deconstructed hamburger bowl that was everything that you would want in cheeseburger but without the bun. I, on the other hand, opting for my unspoken new year resolution of eating healthier, went with a chicken sandwich. Even though the menu called for it to be deep fried, our assured me I could get it blackened. It was delicious. A nice little added bonus was that they make their own Datil pepper ketchup, which was served on the side with my chicken sandwich. As soon as I tasted it, I realized I would need some more for my french fries. Another server, who I now presume might be the owner, came by and asked how things were going. I mentioned how much I loved the ketchup. When I asked for a little more, she said "no problem, I've got you covered". She came back, with not only another side serving, but a small mason jar full that she said was "a gift" for us to take home, listing all the different things we could use it on. I can hardly wait!

They have a large section of patio for dog visitors and even made her a doggie patty, which she loved. I had the mushroom dip burger. It was great. My girl friend had the one on sour dough with their homemade black bean patty. We shared the fried green tomatoes with me actually not hating the homemade pimento cheese, (I usually hate it) and we shared the fried gouda Mac n cheese which was great! We got hungry after running errands so went out for dinner this Thursday around 6pm, parked on the street (free parking), and seated immediately by a friendly hostess. We chose to eat indoors since it was hot out (90's) so we sat at table 1 for the high top seats to accommodate my husband's height. There were around 5 other tables occupied and the rest of the dining area was empty. Our server was Boo and she had a delightfully bubbly personality, letting us know the specials and local origins of the food. We ordered Coke no ice, ginger ale no ice, cajun fries no bacon, well-done Swamp Burger, buffalo chicken bites, and a mahi mahi fish basket. My husband decided to use their restroom, which interestingly enough, are located outside around the corner of the building. I'm guessing this was done so the chefs in the cooking area (in the food truck) could use them easily. Our drinks arrived in minutes and appetizer (cajun fries) arrived around 10 minutes later. The rest of the food was brought out about 10 more minutes after that. The entire order was correct and made very well. Cajun fries were crispy with gooey cheese sauce and cajun spices. Fish basket was tasty and not fishy at all (yay!). My husband said his burger was good and not oily. All in all, cost was about $95 with a generous tip. We would come back for another date here, hopefully with Boo as our server again :)

We jokingly call it "our bar" because that's exactly how it feels....like home. From day one, everyone made us feel incredibly welcome. Mike and Lauren are the owners of Craves. Lauren was our very first bartender and immediately made us feel like regulars. Mike introduced himself that first evening while we were trying to navigate the parking lot (which can definitely fill up quickly during dinner hours, a testament to how popular Craves is!). We started out enjoying the upstairs bar before eventually finding our home downstairs. The bar staff is truly what sets Craves apart. Courtney, Emily, Monica, Bonnie, and Stephanie are all outstanding, and Lindsay has been an amazing addition to the team. Every visit is filled with friendly faces, great conversation, and exceptional service. Joe greeted us on our first visit and escorted us upstairs to the bar. He immediately noticed my husband's Philadelphia Eagles hat, and discovering they were both Eagles fans was an instant connection that made us feel even more at home. The food is simply incredible. In all the times we've dined here, we have never had a bad meal. In fact, whenever friends or family visit from out of town, Craves is always at the top of our list, and they consistently tell us it's some of the best food they've had. Some of our absolute favorites include the Prime Rib, the 4-ounce Filets, the Stuffed Flounder, the Salmon, and the Scallops & Shrimp Scampi served over pasta. Every dish is consistently delicious and beautifully prepared. Craves has truly become our go-to place, not just because of the amazing food, but because of the people. Juicy and very tender. just delicious. One of the best Pork Chops that i have ever had. For dessert we both had the Mouse. Just delightful. Airy and a touch of sweetness. The whole meal was amazing! Our waitress was very professional and explained the menu to us in detail. We didn't feel rushed like other places . I think over all we were there almost 2 hours. I would highly recommend.
