My bf and I were coming back home from Bronner's and stopped in because a cheeseburger sounded good. Absolute worst service we have had ever had. Got there around 3pm and our server was Dani. Myself, my, fiancée, and our oldest go the 3 for me (all burgers) with chips & salsa as our starters and mozzarella sticks for an additional appetizer. My youngest son and daughter split a chicken finger meal. The mozzarella sticks were brought to us by someone who wasn't our waitress in less than 5 minutes which seemed odd. My fiancée ordered a margarita which she had to wait about 20 minutes to get - when our server finally showed up again and brought the drink - we asked where our chips and salsa was and she said let me go check on them- our non verbal autistic 2 year old daughter was screaming because she was so hungry because the chips and salsa had not came to us yet. Another 10 minutes go by and we finally get our chips and salsa. They arrive all smashed up and cold. This poor start to our experience is baffling as the place did not even seem that busy. We watched as the tables across from us with different servers got their chips and salsas promptly after ordering, got multiple drink refills, check ins, etc.- we got none of that. Food was ok at best. Again not a single ask for drink refills, etc. Got our bill and it was wrong - shocker! Overcharged on multiple items. Waited for about 10 minutes and Dani was nowhere to be found. My daughter was getting anxious and ready to leave at this point - so I get up to go find a manager. Magically the server appears and I sit back down. I regret not getting a manager because this was the most unenjoyable and stressful dining experience ever. This is a one star that should be a zero. My husband and I are frequent usually weekly patrons. Shelby who has been there for years normally waits on us. She was off yesterday when we went in about 3 PM. The trouble started when we waited over 5 minutes for anyone to co e to the table to get a drink order. I am a rewards member so we ordered the chips and salsa with a ranch. When I say the chops were all broken more like chop dust and both the salsa and ranch had pieces of chips in their bowls. The chips were stone cold as well. We ordered the 3 for me, it was taking a long time for our salads, some other server this is now the 3rd person to come to the table brought out our burger and chic sandwich both were thrown on the plat the fries just by looking at them were not fresh and no salads. I told them to take them back. The server (who by the way looked like she had just rolled out of bed) finally came and said let me go check where your food is? I told her to charge us for the drinks we were leaving. Told her why and she never offered to get a manager. Every person that was working seemed like a new person so not sure if you have had a turn over in staff. But it was a terrible experience. We definitely will be be trying some other options and will not dine here unless Shelby is working. read more

We have taken our grandsons (ages: 20,16,16) to the Saginaw Chili's before, we like the food and service we've gotten in the past. But on 2-23-2024 we thought we'd take them to an early dinner. We got there before 4:00, but we had to wait for the 20 yrs old. He arrived and we ordered of food. Everything was good, our waiter was great, but I noticed another employee walking by several times but I dI'd not think anything of it. Until we had finished our food and just sitting there talking and drinking our sodas. When that big tall employe, he had blonde hair. Came over to our booth and his comment to us was "your still here" !!!!!!!!!!!! I thought what did this guy mean, then I see him tell another guy employee to come to our table and ask us if he could take our empty glasses. Then my oldest grandson says to me "I guess they want us to go". By this time it was a little after 5:00, didn't know we may have over stayed our welcome. We got up and I talked to our waiter and told him what this employee told us. He couldn't believe it either. I told him what he said to us was very rude. I'll point him out to you, on my way to the door I said that's him. I spoke to this rude employee all he said was that's not the way I meant it and apologized. I just told him he would never had said that to any of these other customers. I told him his apology was not accepted. I asked him if he was the Manager, he said no. I said what is your name he said Michael. I know nothing will be done about this or how he made us feel. Shame on you, just needed to let your company know. Ok I know this is a chain restaurant so it's kind of weird to write a review but the staff of this Chili's is really something special. We hosted a birthday party for our friend Kyle and I cannot believe how accommodating the entire staff was. The manager let us come and set up an hour before the party started. Check out the awesome attached pictures. All of the staff stopped by to see if we needed help setting up and just to chat. We got the feeling that they all were having fun right all by with us. I ordered take out. I was staying in a hotel around the corner. Food was not even warm, it was cold, there was not even steam on the lids of any of the hot food. Steak was cooked rare rather than med rare as I had ordered, crispy chicken was soggy chicken, cheese fries were a blob of mushy fries with cheese melted to the tin foil rendering them inedible. The only food item worth eating was the cheese cake on a $50+ order. The only positive thing I can say is that the server had a nice smile and was very polite. I tried to call to complain about the food, was placed on hold and hung up on 3 times in a row. I could never suggest this Chili's after that. My friend and I ordered a cookie skillet to share during our fun night on the town, but our night soon took a turn for the worst. As our waiter approached the table with a pan in his hand, we knew our happiness was over. The cookie skillet was dry and crusty. Chili's- Some may call it a restaurant but I call it culinary disappointment. Let's dive in with what you see when you first walk in this God awful establishment. Take one step over the threshold and you are immediately hit with a wall of air conditioning on full blast, the first thing that runs through your mind is, "Hey, it's winter, shouldn't the heat be on in here?" Funny for you to assume Chili's actually cares about the environment for their guests. The frigid temperatures doesn't even scratch the surface of why I tend to boycott Chili's. Let's talk about their horror show of a menu. When you get handed a menu at a restaurant, the last thing you want is for the menu to be sticky. That's all that the menus are at Chili's, as sticky as a child's iPad while they watch Cocomelon. When you finally find something to eat that sounds almost maybe appetizing, you sit there for barely five minutes and they already have your "food" out. In most cases, this may seem like a good thing but no full entree should be ready within 5 minutes. The kids menu has to be the biggest nightmare of the whole thing. How does what they serve not go against health codes? The kids mac and cheese resembles that of a plastic children's toy. The fries are flavorless and as stale as those Wheat Thins that have probably been rotting away in your pantry for the past 3 years. Moral of this review is that Chili's should be shut down, immediately. They have the most vile food and they religiously keep their temperatures at a consistent forty below so you feel like you're having lunch with a penguin and for this reason, I would not be caught dead eating at Chili's. -49302/10 stars. read more

I have been here numerous times and in the past my experience never warranted really a good or bad review but by the time we finished our meals I laughed about why I would have considered eating at that other place! Our waiter, Dustin, was probably one of the best waiters I have ever encountered! Friday night, super busy, and this man took care of us from start to finish and didn't miss a beat!! I've been to this Chili's before and I have never been satisfied. Today, my husband and I thought we would give it another chance. I know this is a franchise and the menu is controlled, but when we ordered our nachos, I expected to share them with my husband like most popular franchised family resturaunts in the area. What I did not expect was that my $12 nachos consisted of exactly 12 chips arranged in a circle around the plate soggy with bean and cheese goop. Disappointment seems to not describe my feeling when the server brought my plate. I was speechless. It felt like they were attempting to be a five-star resturaunt, you know, the ones who serve bitesize portions for $25.00 each. But this is Chili's and they totally missed their mark. The atmosphere is not five star dining, but I do expect a nacho plate to be able to satisfy me appropriately. Luckily, we had ordered another appetizer, expecting to share. We got the southwest eggrolls which consist of three eggrolls sliced in half for $9.79 with an avocado ranch sauce, all of which seemed straight off the GFS truck, but it was expected and I'm not disappointed in that. I'm am disappointed with the nachos! 12 chips does not a nacho make! Now, despite the food, the service was great, which is the only redeeming quality we experienced. Gave an extra star for that. The choice of menu is not the fault of the server, but the establishment and if it went for her, I would give only 1 star. Definitely visiting Applebee's for our next appetizer run.
