BEST SNOW CONES IN TOWN!! No place compares I love it here. My family has been coming here for years, even after they switched from their original location. We are from Katy, and we gladly make the 30 min drive for these Snowcones. What stands out about this stand are 2 things 1. Quality 2. The Flavors The Machine they use to shave the ice is perfect. The ice is so clean and pillowy. Literally melts in your mouth, no crunchy ice. And they are not stingy with the syrup. I love that they layer the syrup and ice so the syrup distributes evenly throughout the cup. I also love that with each snow cone made, they make sure the cup is clean before handing it over. They have a great variety of flavors and toppings. My favorite being flavor is "Leche." Leche is one of their original flavors; no other stand has it. It's a creamy strawberry milk flavor, similar to Nesquik but SOOOO MUCH BETTER. You need to try this flavor at least once when coming out here. Little tip: To make it even richer/creamier, I would suggest adding condensed milk as a topping! Another favorite of mine is their specialty snowcone, " Diablito." Fresh lime juice, yes FRESH! lime juice, salt, and chili powder. Yeah, I know your mouth is watering just reading this. It sounds crazy, but if you love lime and Tajin, this snowcone is for you. In addition to snow cones, they have snacks for sale. Nachos, hot dogs, corn in a cup, etc. Plenty of parking, but it can get busy depending on the day and time. This place is pretty popular with the locals; people love it! FYI, there weren't any tables, just a couple of chairs for sitting. It can get hot depending on the time of day. I took my boyfriend and my son here for some snowballs because we're from Chicago and that's something that we really love out there, but ours are called ice-ceees lol the lady who I think is the owner was very nice and she made sure the snow cones will wipe out before she gave them to us The ambience is giving back at home style, except ours is literally just a little stand, but this is like a stand too, so I really like the vibe .. it's giving old school and I rather have old school than these chain snowball places ... This place is everything you want from your snowball stand. The ice is so soft and the flavors are just enough sweetness. It's been in the 90-100's all June and you really don't need all that sugar but their flavors are perfect. My pineapple/peach with vanilla ice cream tastes like a dreamsicle. Excellent, flavorful sno-cones with a great price point. The ice they use is the softest I've had in all of Houston, only to be surpassed by Hansen's in New Orleans which is still my #1 spot, but this is definitely a close 2nd. They have a variety of flavors to choose from, and have unique specialty flavors as well. The flavors in the sno-cones here last throughout every single bite. I got the Mangonada, which was delicious. It had chunks of mango in it and the Tajin flavor wasn't just sprinkled on top, but was blended through my entire sno-cone. My husband got the fresh lime flavor, which I had a taste of. It was so good. It reminded me of the fresh lime juice we get in the streets of India, very refreshing on a hot summer day. NOT PET FRIENDLY I would like to preface this review by saying that I have been to this establishment over 30 times. I have happily spent my money on these snow cones. Today, I came, stood in the heat for over 30 minutes waiting for a snow cone. When we got to the window, I asked for a small snow cone with just cream for my puppy, who was waiting with me. I told them that I did not care what it costs. I was told that I, absolutely, could not have this. I reiterated that I would pay whatever they wanted to charge me. I was told, by the girl checking me out, that her boss would not let her do that. I asked to speak with her boss. Her boss, whom I was informed was the owner, Bianca, told me that cream was a topping and they would not give me shaved ice with some cream on the top. I did not want the topping because I don't know what chemicals are in it or how my dog would react. Guys, I would have paid triple what they charge for a regular snow cone if that's what they required. As a business owner, i would take the opportunity to capitalize on people wanting to get their pups a snow cone. Call it a pup cup, charge $5.00. Whatever you want to do. But, "no" should not be the answer. I left, Went to Gabby's snow cones, was given my snow cone with cream (for an extra charge), and got to sit in my air conditioned car to wait. Great little snow cone stand. We waited a few minutes to get to the window. It was hot, but the line moved at an ok pace. There is very little covered area to wait in line and//or enjoy your snow cone, so be prepared. We ended up eating the snow cones in the hatch of the suv. Super cheap snow cones that taste amazing! I have actually been coming here for years since I was a child and the location was across the bridge. This time around I got two snow cones (one for me/one for mom) Mine was a large size with two flavors, Tigers blood & white lemon- I also added cream My moms was a small "Diablito" which is basically just the shaved ice and squeezed lime..(poor girl she hand squeezed like three limes for this little snow cone) with tajin chili powder on top. I heard this is an option for people on diets *whatever that means, shrugs* So the Tigers blood flavor I totally recommend, its basically tastes like Cherries and Rasberrys (every red fruit imaginable) w/ a hint of coconut. The White lemon has been a fav of mine for years as well, its standard lemon flavor soo yummy perfect balance of sour/sweet. It is also cool that you can add things like cream, squeezed lime, candy toppings, or even pickle juice (dafuuuq). I posted a pic of the menu just so you guys can see what they offer. I've never tried the food here, but maybe next time I'm in town I will try an item out and leave a review for that. But anyway if you guys like yummy snow cones that are flavorful come here!
