Seating indoors with a few TVs, an upstairs over 21 only spot that has TVs, dart boards, and a foosball table. But, for the volume of the music to become the focus of the day, you'd best be The Rolling Stones! Twisted Oak has rapidly become my favorite place to sit and relax and have a pint on the weekend…read more It is very much a farm brewery, as you pass through barley fields on the way in, and there are hops being trellised this spring. The space is outstanding with breezy porches, outdoor fire pits, and even walking trails across the back of the property. In winter, the wood stove keeps the inside nice and toasty. The beers are good, and Jay is a skilled brewer, gradually honing his recipes to the brewhouse. (The Miss Hazy has noticably changed and improved over the past few months.) As opposed to some places with 20+ beers ranging from the odd to the excellent to simply undrinkable, Twisted Oak typically has a range of 6-8 brews on, and all of them quite good. Most importantly, the service is outstanding. Jay and Missy (owners) are welcoming, and the part time help are all friendly and it is obvious they genuinely want you to enjoy the beer and the space. And, well, the dogs and I do.
