Do Not Trust! Not sure what's going on with these folks. I used them in 2015 and was very happy with what they did and how they cleaned up after themselves. They even gave me a senior discount in behalf of my mother because I was taking care of her at the time. This time, I had an appointment for a house I don't live in, so I sat outside in my car right after the first snow this year from 9:30 am to 2pm and nobody showed. Finally got through on the phone to the lady, and she apologized profusely, and said her single Grants Pass employee (they should work in teams) bailed on her that morning. Well, I understand how hard it is to find good work ethics in this town, so I chose to give them another chance. I made another appointment. She said I'd be first on the list and they'd be there at 10am. The last time they didn't show up, they didn't have my phone number, so this time, I'd made sure they had my number so I wouldn't be outside freezing my butt off in my car for an entire day like last time. I also decided I wasn't going to hang around if they were more than 30 minutes late and didn't bother to call me. I waited until 10:40 am. No show, no phone call even five hours later. Next day, I get a note from BRIAN saying my appointment was at 10:30 and he was there from 10:30 to 10:45. That is a LIE Brian. I was sitting there until 10:40 and you never showed up. FURTHERMORE, the note Brian left was on "Home Comfort Hearth and Patio" paper. Home Comfort whom I refuse to hire because the guys laughed at me when they were asked to clean out the pellet stove flue. I had a little baby and they told me that pellet stove flues don't ever need to be cleaned. So I am naturally assuming that Chim-Chimney and Home Comfort have combined? Theres no other explanation that I can think of. And dude, there are still surveillance cameras on the house. I can see when people show up pretty easy even if I wasn't sitting there in my car watching the house. Maybe your methods worked in the past? But you're going to have to be smarter. I wouldn't trust you now if you chose to do the job for FREE because you lied. SHAME on you. Now I know why your employees walked out. Every year before my first fire, I get my chimney swept and everything checked out. Brian and Tony came...really super nice, friendly guys. Brian has been doing this for decades and he explained everything about my stove and how I was doing with wood, burning practices. They got things done quickly and cleanly. I made an appointment for November 24th with Mike to have my chimney swept, I stayed home from seeing my grandfather in the hospital to take care of this. I waited and waited and no one showed so I called and got there answering service I left a message and Don called me the next day apologizing saying some how I never got on the schedule, saying they can come out the day after Thanksgiving because they are going to be having a unit out in our area that day. I agreed to give them one more chance. Again I waited and waited!!! No show to call! I called and got their answering service again!! At this point I am completely disappointed with the way they run their business. Don calls me the next morning apologizing again! I told him this is twice now that you haven't shown and kept me from my grandfather! They promised they would show the THIRD time rain or shine and before any other company could due to how busy they are this season! I agreed one last time....finally on December 9th they show. I showed them our one story Woodstove and they checked the chimney and said it was spotless and did not require cleaning. So they said I owed a 75 $ safety inspection fee. I gave them payment and they left. Now I was super excited to finally start my Woodstove I light up my kindling and the smoke started sucking into my house oh and by the way my grandfather is now home from the hospital and can't handle a smoke filled room! I panicked and called the office number they provided and the woman said she would contact them... I waited and waited by now I had put the fire out. I go outside to look at my trap door at the bottom of the chimney and it is completely PACKED FULL of soot! They looked down the chimney and looked in my Woodstove and that was their safety inspection! They didn't even OPEN the door! They endangered my families life's and took my money! We've been using Chim-Chimney for many years and have always been happy with their work. They installed our fireplace insert 13 years ago, and it's a quality unit that's holding up great. The last cleaning, this week, was no exception. Chimney sweep Brian called 5 minutes before due to arrive to say he was almost to our home. Once here he answered all the questions we had, gave us some tips about using heat pump fan to circulate warmed air, resealed around the stovepipe on roof, and cleaned the chimney (not much creosote as we burn dry madrone).
