Turns out they charge $30 a foot and my bill was about $750. They were at least supposed to quote me before doing the work but they didn't. I spoke up and they apologized for not showing me the quote first and charged me 400. I paid. And now that I'm playing it out in my mind, I feel like this might have been all by design.
