For five consecutive years here on our modern homestead, we have used the services of Justin at Chimney Sweep Experts to clean our nearly 100 year old chimney and wood stove. From the first day we contacted Justin five years ago, he went above and beyond. Every interaction with Justin has been professional, prompt, thorough, respectful and honest. We know he has been honest because we heat our home with a wood stove and we have never had a chimney fire. Our chimney was built around 1930 and it does not have a chimney liner. We needed a professional that would go above and beyond because our family's well-being may have depended on his honesty. Each year we would call Justin to schedule an appointment and often times it was already autumn when we contacted him. Even when his schedule was booked up for a month out, it was well worth the wait. When the day & time of our appointment was near and the forecast was expecting rain, Justin made accommodations to clean our chimney a day early! Every year Justin would gladly answer any questions we had regarding our chimney, wood stove, or anything regarding burning wood for heat. Justin always inspected the chimney first, then cleaned the chimney from above on the rooftop and then from within the house, taking the stove pipes apart and vacuuming inside the pipes and chimney. Justin always left our home very clean and reminded us as he left that if we needed anything or had any questions to contact him. We truly felt like we were always a priority to him, even when we had to wait for an opening in his schedule. After reading reviews i decided to call them. Callback was a day later. No big deal. That's reasonable fast, especially during busy chimney time. Justin came out, did what he had to do, notice a problem in my chimney top and advised a solution. Basically if i didn't get if fixed the problem would have gotten worse. He was able to correct the problem with a 15 year guarantee on the fix. As far as the insert cleaning goes. No mess left in my house. Used a very high powered omg with a tarp. Pulled out pretty much everything inside the insert and commenced to cleaning it. Very happy with his job. Will use again next year. Very informative. Showed me before and after pictures. I found chimney sweep experts on the yelp site, and took a chance, as I could find no reviews. The owner, a cheerful, energetic young man with a clean, well appointed van, ladders and tools, arrived earlier than the appointed time (he called first to make sure it was ok to arrive early), and proceeded to clean the chimney, vacuum the remaining soot and ash from the fireplace, thoroughly clean the glass folding doors on the fireplace, and vacuum and wash the floor where some minor soot remained. All in all a pleasant and painless experience for what can sometimes be a very messy job. He made recommendations for additions to the chimney, which we chose not to take. He was not a high pressure salesman, which I appreciate. The price was very reasonable. I would recommend this business highly. read more

7/30/2020 Justin of Chimney Sweep Experts returned my message on the same day and was able to schedule my chimney sweeping for the next week. On the day of, he called to say he was running ahead of schedule and asked if he could come out earlier than our appt time (which actually worked out perfectly for me). He worked efficiently and had my chimney thoroughly cleaned out from both the top and the bottom. Justin is a great guy! It was a wonderful experience. I had no problem getting an appointment. He is professional and personable. He walked me through the process and answered all of my questions. He inspected and cleaned my wood burning fireplace. He repaired a crack I had in the bottom of the firebox for a very nominal fee. I had some damage to the siding outside my chimney. This is not something he could repair, but he did check it out for me and took pictures for me so I can see about opening a water damage claim with my insurance company. From my first initial contact all the way through the end of the cleaning service was a wonderful experience. Our technician Justin was so polite with his introduction and all the way through. After his introduction he took a look around the wood stove and asked if I had any immediate questions. I didn't at the moment, I was kinda unprepared on my end lol. But he was on top of his game. He started with asking me a few necessary questions followed by informing me on the process of the cleaning. He started up top first on cleaning and inspection there. Once he had finished with that he put away the no longer needed equipment and informed me of his findings. I had a few questions there and he was great at answering them. Plus he sealed up the fireplace doors and some brick joints with refractory cement and put the damper in the right location (and took some photos for me). He also cleaned some of the outside brick.
