So, the surface here was very friendly. In fact, I had two bags and an employee even offered to help me carry them out. I really appreciated that. I placed the order online and it was ready pretty much when I got there, which was within the pick up timeframe listed. I appreciated that they had an online ordering option, even if it was through Grubhub. The inside is rather small. I think there are two, maybe three very small plastic tables. However, it definitely seems like a spot where the same folks go regularly. Everyone inside seem to know each other, and they were all engaging in a nice conversation. The food itself was fine. I think it's about the same as any other carryout. The wonton soup I had was very basic and not my favorite. But they did include the crispy noodles for free. Also worth noting, their lunch special price of eight dollars or $8.50 was legit. And for the price, the portion was great. I've tried their crab rangoon, egg foo young, sweet & sour chicken, General Tso's chicken, chicken wings, and fries. Their food is decent, and mildly flavored. I especially enjoy their fries and the drinks they include with their lunch items. The space is small and overall clean. Customer service is good -their front register guy comes off stoic and overly neutral at times but I've had some dope conversations with him before so I encourage visitors to just come with grace and patience. Finally found a Chinese spot I am willing to give another chance! China American Inn is in a hidden corner in the City of Laurel. I was going to seven- eleven and I spotted it and was definitely going to try. I got my usual beef fried rice with spring rolls. I was a little disappointed in the spring rolls because they were ridiculously small but they made up size with deliciousness . Lol I was hoping I got more, if I knew they were that small. The beef fried rice was cooked pretty well, the right color and not too much soy sauce, not a variety of vegetables but maybe you could request that. I shouldn't have cheated on my usual carry out. The place I like to go to is fairly far from my house, so I decided to check out something closer. I ordered the general tso's chicken. The only way you can order online is through Grubhub. They give you three options of how spicy you want the chicken to be: not spicy, mildly spicy, and spicy. I chose spicy. They said the order would be ready around 8:05. The food wasn't actually ready until about 8:30. I took a bite of the chicken and immediately noticed there was no spice. Not a punch, not a kick, not even a tap of spicy. The chicken was soggy, but the sauce wasn't too bad. I also had an egg roll, which was pretty good. They did give big portions, so I had plenty left over. But I ended up not finishing it. I'm not sure if I'm being generous with the 3 stars, but I didn't hate it. The only place I order from. I always get the Singapore noodles and they are perfect every single time. The delivery is typically very quick also. They always seem to come earlier than the estimated time. They lose a star because the last time I ordered, my SO felt that there was something off about the shrimp in the general tso's shrimp. This was my first time here and after many failed attempts in Laurel for some good chinese I was a little sceptical. But tonight I was really in the mood for some good old Chinese and decided to give it a try. We got sesame chicken crispy beef vegetable lo mein chicken fried rice and chicken & broccoli. The crispy beef and sesame chicken was very good nice and crispy and the sauce for each was tasty as well. I will say next time I'll pass on the chicken & broccoli the texture of the chicken was very slimy and just unappealing. Since I like to see where my food is cooked I did go in and it was your typical carryout small counter couple tables and chairs kitchen in the back but the place was clean. Overall i was pleased fast service and good food next time I'll try the delivery but this is my new go to Chinese in Laurel. read more

After reading the Amazing reviews I finally decided to give them a try (not to mention I happen to stumbled upon the restaurant one day while driving and noticed how nice and clean it looked). I ordered the steak n cheese egg rolls which are highly recommend and they were Delicious!!! I ordered Sweet n Sour chicken with shrimp fried rice which was Too Tasty!!! And they also threw in a pork egg roll for free and that was superb too I ordered my food for delivery and they told me 40 mins and they came in about 25 - 30mins. I love their wing and the Mumbo sauce is on point! It's not brown like bbq sauce it's the perfect consistency as well! The fried rice is also good it doesn't have all of those veggies added! The steak and cheeses are great as well! I've never had something from this place and didn't like it! He would always yell at us to get our dogs out the way and he would be rude and disrespectful.today we ordered take out and the delivery driver not only knocked hard but he kicked our door and scared us and my 11 year old son opened the door. Then the drive proceeded to yell to my son in his language and from what I saw and from his tone it sounded like he was cussing my son out and then he snatched the money out of my sons hands and he tried to scare my dogs away mind you my dogs were just by my sons side cause they are trained to be by our sides when we open the door to people.Our order was 2 orders of 3 piece chicken wings , one order with fried rice and another with French fries. read more

This was a good first time visit for me. So I've been having a very hard time finding a good Chinese place here in the Washington DC area. So I immediately search Yelp and the options were all pretty grim as no restaurant had more than a 3 out of 5 star average. I finally decided to check out this place. I called in my order and the young man on the phone was very professional. I liked that. I drove 30 minutes to the restaurant and the place is in a strip mall near a 7 Eleven and a huge library. I was initially caught off guard by the Covid-19 panic restrictions. The restrictions don't allow Customers to actually enter the restaurant. Anyway, I got my food and drove home. I warmed my food up and was surprised at how fresh the shrimp was in the shrimp with fried rice I ordered. The peas and carrots were perfectly boiled, the eggs were fresh, and the rice was done fairly well. Overall I'd give my meal a solid 8 out of 10. If I have a taste for Chinese again, I would definitely return to this place. The Customer Service is very good and the meal I had was certainly memorable. read more

Absolute dog food! Can't believe I made this mistake tonight. General Tso chicken was nothing but manufactured, out of the box breaded mush of some kind. They're were traces of chicken( or chicken type substance) within a giant nugget of mush breading. The fried rice was boxed fried rice. You can tell from the color/taste. I can't believe this place is in business. I can't believe the people in that area actually eat that mess. Those people should be ashamed of what they're giving people.
