3 wings cut into 6 pieces instead of 6 whole wings. Smh.

I ordered 6 whole wings not 3 wings cut into 6 pieces. Thats not good for business and very deceptive. Will not go here again.

Lunch special-Kung Pao chicken; sub mushrooms.

Good service, great food as usual particularly if you are looking for authentic Chinese food!

I've been going to Mandarin House for probably well over thirty years. They are the only place that I can find hot, crispy beef, and as far as that goes, they never let me down. The portions are huge, and the food tastes fresh. our waiter was excellent and he has been there. I believe the entire time. I guess the only negative if there is any is that the building is really old and hasn't been remodeled in forever. But I go there for the food and not the decoration.

Huge portions. Losta meat. Good sake. Whole steamed rockfish is the best I've had.

This has been my favorite spot ever since I was a kid, love the hot and sour soup and crispy beef. How can I forget those spring rolls.

Probably be the best Chinese in the Laurel/Columbia area that I've found so far... Like, by a long shot.

Wonton soup was extremely salty. So salty I had to add hot water to it. I'm not going to try other dishes because of this.

This place is Chinese food catered to American people. Not authentic. If you're into that then this is the place for you.

I placed the order online and it was ready pretty much when I got there, which was within the pick up timeframe listed. I appreciated that they had an online ordering option, even if it was through Grubhub. The inside is rather small. I think there are two, maybe three very small plastic tables. However, it definitely seems like a spot where the same folks go regularly. Everyone inside seem to know each other, and they were all engaging in a nice conversation. The food itself was fine. I think it's about the same as any other carryout. The wonton soup I had was very basic and not my favorite. But they did include the crispy noodles for free. Also worth noting, their lunch special price of eight dollars or $8.50 was legit. And for the price, the portion was great. I definitely want to stop by in the future and maybe try something else.

I especially enjoy their fries and the drinks they include with their lunch items. The space is small and overall clean. Customer service is good -their front register guy comes off stoic and overly neutral at times but I've had some dope conversations with him before so I encourage visitors to just come with grace and patience. Parking is easy! This place has potential but I think they could improve on their sweet & sour chicken, portion sizes and business hours.

We have been familiar with the area for years, as my father-in-law lived 3 minutes away, and recently we realized this was his go-to carryout. After 3 visits, I can say it's one of the best in the DMV, thanks to its flavor and food choices. You will find Japanese options like sushi, American-Chinese dishes like orange chicken, similar dishes, and Cantonese food like roast duck, Hong Kong-style noodle soups, and whole fish. They are family-owned and operated. Every time we come, the elder father is always gracious and provides excellent service. The restaurant is always quiet; you can hear conversations in the back, and as customers arrive to pick up their orders, we haven't witnessed any negative interactions. Customers are always happy with their food, and the staff say thank you. The only negative is the space. The building itself is older and outdated. In the summer, it is hot, and now in the winter, there is no heat. They have found ways to make it work, like space heaters on each table, but it can still get uncomfortable if you are dining in. The back area near the bathroom and the bathroom itself need a thorough cleaning. To me, it's a turnoff; it doesn't affect the food, but it does affect the dine-in experience. Again, overall, I love their food and believe it's a local gem worth a try.

We had two kids with us, so we couldn't order anything too spicy. The japchae and mandu were tasty, but the lollipop wings deserved a stage of their own. Boy, were they delicious! I asked for recommendations, although I knew I was going to get their infamous Lolipop Chicken. It lived up to the hype! While a tad pricey for one person, the portion is HUGE and I will have leftovers for days! The chicken was piping hot and flavorful. I also love noodles, and recently hand pulled noodles. You can literally hear them slapping around your noodles in the kitchen! I also ordered the spicy seafood soup, which was recommended. I liked the chicken a little more than the soup, but the soup was a large portion as well and very shareable. I washed my meal down with a Korean beer.
