We have been familiar with the area for years, as my father-in-law lived 3 minutes away, and recently we realized this was his go-to carryout. After 3 visits, I can say it's one of the best in the DMV, thanks to its flavor and food choices. You will find Japanese options like sushi, American-Chinese dishes like orange chicken, similar dishes, and Cantonese food like roast duck, Hong Kong-style noodle soups, and whole fish. They are family-owned and operated. Every time we come, the elder father is always gracious and provides excellent service. The restaurant is always quiet; you can hear conversations in the back, and as customers arrive to pick up their orders, we haven't witnessed any negative interactions. Customers are always happy with their food, and the staff say thank you. The only negative is the space. The building itself is older and outdated. In the summer, it is hot, and now in the winter, there is no heat. They have found ways to make it work, like space heaters on each table, but it can still get uncomfortable if you are dining in. The back area near the bathroom and the bathroom itself need a thorough cleaning. To me, it's a turnoff; it doesn't affect the food, but it does affect the dine-in experience. Again, overall, I love their food and believe it's a local gem worth a try.

I guess the only silver lining is we didn't get sick from the small amount of food we did eat. It's very surprising to me that this place is still open. It's also very unfortunate that we don't have even a single halfway decent Chinese restaurant in the area. Panda Express is leaps and bounds above this place.

I would suggest to them being mindful of all unpleasant sounds and stacking the dishes on the cart as quietly and quickly as possible, but cleaning them in the back out of site of current diners. I also think more rice at table side. The portions of rice for me is too small. A more heaping bowl would be nice. However, the meal portions are decent. Here for the second time in a week tho!
