Fav place ngl. Food decent fair price. Haven't got sick. No complaints I would eat here again

I'm so sad saying this, but I think I just ate my last meal here. It's been a real struggle since after Covid. Every time I come here the food looks like it's been sitting for days. It's been my go to Chinese buffet for years because the taste is better than the big buffet on the dual highway. I'd rather have less selection with greater taste! Tonight the noodles were so crunchy it sounded like eating chips. Most dishes were next to empty and nothing was refreshed while we were there. We were just expected to make due with what was left. I ordered pepper steak and got all onions two or three pieces of steak and two peppers. Absolutely no sauce! The lady working was terrible I had to explain things three or four times. I do not recommend anyone to go here. read more

A buffet under $10 these days is unheard of, so you gotta adjust your expectations accordingly. Food is alright, stocked conservatively, and the place is a bit run down in spots, but for the price, I am NOT complaining. I will absolutely come back when I'm super hungry and looking for something cheap. Staff was nice too. I like the vibe of the place, warts and all. read more

Ok, we just visited again today for mothers day and had a bit of a disappointing experience. The "mothers day special" buffet price was actually more expensive than their normal Sunday price. They also had us pay for our meal before we went to our table which just seemed strange for a Chinese buffet. Food had been sitting there for a while, soggy lo mein, spring rolls were chewy rather than crispy, there was no veggie sushi on the counter so I asked if they could make some. The lady acted like she knew what I said then walked away not to be seen again and no veggie sushi ever appeared. Sucks. Food was dried up. Looks like it was sitting out all day long. Complained about not being much food up there, a lot was empty. Sat and waited for almost an hour and no food was brought out. Lots of tables dirty. Seemed to be more worried about completing online food orders. read more

Absolutely horrendous food. I gave one star because I couldn't give zero. We went at 6pm, we were the only people there to eat. The food, what there was of it, was dried out (like jerky) and so hard to eat. Some of the fried stuff (like Rangoon) had been sitting for so long, it was soggy. After we had been there for awhile, a couple fresh dishes came from the kitchen and they were hot. An older lady started making sushi but none of us were brave enough to try it. Most of the food was cold, there was no way those steamers were keeping the food at a safe temp. We picked our way through our plates, hesitant to waste because of the sign on the door admonishing guests to not waste food. The best part of the meal was the fortune cookies, which were not stale. I suspect the fact that they were individually wrapped and made somewhere else is the reason for this. Sure enough, one hour later and I am in the bathroom. Avoid this place unless you need to make yourself sick to get out of a previous appointment. read more

Last two times I have been there the chicken has been chewy and none of the signature types (orange chicken, General Tso, or Sesame) had much flavor. read more

If i could give No Star I would. Worst Experience ever at this Medicore chinese buffet. Chicken wi ngs were Undercooked and Raw. Food looked like it was sitting for long time. My husband got sick after eating here. Spend the extra $1.50 and go to Supreme Buffet on Dual. I will never go back here. read more

The quality and taste of the food here is very good. It's much more peaceful and laid back than the larger buffet in town. They offer less choices but what they have is very good. I will say that they need to keep there pans filled on the buffet! read more

Horrible they have roaches I have a video of a roach on me and my friends table as we are eating we was the only people there and the food was out all day and nasty. After we told our waiter about the roach she said we was lying and when we showed it to her she acted dumb. The City buffet is now run by new owners and the quality has went from great to mediocre the food is often left on the buffet longer than it should and it takes a while for them to refill read more

Today, food was not very good. I think it was because it was a little late time when I arrived there. I'm going to check out the place maybe earlier time when I go there next time. I used Samsung pay when I paid. Their credit card machine looked old version. When I tried Samsung pay, it failed at the first time. But it was successful when I retried. I don't know why it failed at first. But eventually it worked!! read more

Small but always seems hot and fresh. Nice little hole in the wall. Consistent in bringing hot food to the buffet. Small selection of sushi and no hibachi grill :-( read more

This buffet was great a year ago. Now, their food ALWAYS looks old and cold, even during lunch and dinner times. It's become very disappointing at this point. As much as I'd love to continue to visit this restaurant, the food is so terribly old that it's barely edible. I genuinely hope they turn things back around. read more

Not a great selection. Food appeared as though it had been sitting under the warmer lights all afternoon. There was one woman working who was probably the owner, and while she was attentive, she constantly took my glass away by the rim to refill with water instead of using a pitcher. Price was decent I guess for lunch prices. read more

We stopped here for what we thought would be good Chinese food and it was the furthest thing from that. The waitress was nice (at first). On our way to our table I noticed that there was NOBODY eating. She seated us then my husband and kids went up to the buffet to get our plates. Most of the food looked like it had been sitting out way too long and that should've been a warning for us to leave. We loaded our plates up and went to sit down. I tried 1 bite of the chicken and broccoli and it was tough and cold. The only thing I actually ate on my plate was the 2 fried shrimp that I got. I asked my husband how his food was and he said it wasn't very good. He hardly ate a thing on his plate. I seen them bring out more "hot" food so I told my husband I was going to see what was up there. It was general sou chicken. I put a little on my plate, got a garlic roll and some sushi. After I sat down my husband went up and got general sou and chicken teriyaki. I was eating took a bite of the sushi and something just didn't taste right so I put it down. I tried the general sou next and it tasted like it was reheated and the only thing they did was added more sauce. About that time my husband came back and sat down and I told him that the general sou tasted like it was reheated. I was getting ready to eat my dinner roll and I noticed a greenish black spots on the bottom of it. The roll was not only stale from but, it was also mold. I looked over at my child who was eating it and she said it tasted funny. I flipped it over and there was mold on the bottom of her roll. I told her to spit it out. I WAS FURIOUS. Just then my husband tells me that his stomach was getting sour. I told my husband to get the plate away from my 1 year old. The waitress came over and I FULLY admit that I was not friendly. I asked her how old the food was that she was serving. I said I wanted a manager. She got the cook and I showed him our food and he offered to make fresh. Well, my husbands stomach is sour and my child just ate a moldy dinner roll so the chances of me wanting to get "fresh" food which it should have been fresh anyways are slim to none. I was very straight forward and told them that I was not going to pay for food that should have been tossed in the trash HOURS ago. The woman was pointing at the food and talking to the guy in chinese and the conversation was obviously about my family and I said "can you please speak to me in English if you are going to be rude and talk about whats going on?" The guy apologized and said she doesn't speak much English. My husband got the kids and said lets go. The woman then said "You not gonna pay for this." I told her that I might just call the Health Department and I told her that I was not going to pay for food that was going to make my family sick. The guy told me to go and was being very nice and I appreciate that but, the woman was RUDE. As I was getting my jacket on this woman was picking up (what she calls fresh food) and saying "is this old?" The guy said "don't worry about her. She is being very rude just please leave." My husband got the kids in the car and looked at me and said "I'm going to be sick". He jumped out of the car and puked in the parking lot. After he was done we drove home then my stomach started rolling and gurgling. No sooner later we get home and I started gagging and throwing up. I want to make it very clear that I WAS NOT here to get a free meal!!!! I have never walked out an establishment without paying for food and can honestly say this is the first time. I will never come back to eat here again. We sat down to eat here at 5:30 pm so there is NO REASON why the food shouldn't have been fresh. read more
