But we came here because We are on a vacation trip and we where hungry after our beach visit, and we had no time to get ready to go to a RESTAURANT and get a service. I have 2 kids (3 and 5 years old), and they just ate white rice and noodles (1 times) but it's unbelievable that for a 3 years old kid they charged a lot just for white rice and they left the noodles because they didn't like them, I don't like to waste food so I ate the rest of the noodles. They charged 10.99 per each kid 15.99 per adult 6% tax And 10% for SERVICE. whaaaaaat? Are you kidding me? What service? for brought us waters? Food was ok. Typical for basically all Chinese buffets at this point in time. Which is a sad state of affairs. Our biggest gripe besides the meh food was this billing system. The sign said adults 16.99 for Friday night buffet. There was 2 adults , and a 10 year old kid (which they asked his age upon seating us). There was a sign stating 2.99 for beverages. Son and wife got pops, I got water. When we received our bill it was 62.90 with no explanation of where that total came from (16.99 +16.99 + 10.99?+2.99+2.99 with tax comes out to 54.09. Curious where the other $8+ comes from then of course when you pay there is a line for tip, but no mention of whether tip or gratuity is included in price. So I left an $8 tip not wanting to look like a cheapskate, but only later when trying to math it out that they probably actually got a $15-$16 tip for bussing plates and refilling beverages. Had a really positive experience yesterday with the staff,in particular a woman I would have guessed to be the owner which isn't always the case as someone who is disabled/ wheelchair bound. Upon arrival we were seated close to the food and she without hesitation removed the chair so I could sit(sometimes that can get awkward when staff isn't sure how to handle it) we went to get our food and my bf had caught his orange chicken mid air off his plate and didn't want to get it on my chair,before we could find a napkin she appeared out of nowhere with a wet cloth from the kitchen to wipe his hands. These little acts of kindness continued the entire visit .she was there every time I went up and seemed to know what I needed before I did lol yes,I probably could have done most of my own, but the thought of someone being this kind and compassionate was so heartwarming and rare these days I was so Beyond appreciative. When we were leaving,I stopped to thank her for being so kind and despite the language barrier she gave me a hug . And I knew she understood. Normally I would shy away from the attention in public, I don't go out to eat very often, usually just get it to go, but she was so genuine about it. Best restaurant experience I've had since becoming disabled. All in all , food was hot and fresh. We were aware it would be expensive and that they add gratuity so it wasn't a surprise otherwise I do understand it can come as a shock to those unaware,it did us the first time too. The food wasn't great. The wontons were over cooked and under filled. The egg rolls were mostly filled with cabbage and no other vegetables-definitely no meat. The rest was average buffet chinese food. There wasn't any sushi. The biggest issue I had was that they advertised the Sunday buffet as being seafood for a price of $15.49. My friend and I ate there on a Wednesday and they charged $15.49. Not only that but they added a 10% service fee on top of the bill! When I questioned this they pointed to an 8" x 11" piece of paper taped to a door saying they were charging this. It also said we were free to leave a tip in addition to the 10%. Maybe the locals knew about this but my friend and I were very supprised. Is this even legal? This sounds like it would fall under taxable wages. Needless to say I won't go there again. read more

Amazing service! My waitress Ling was extremely nice and helpful. While I was eating dinner a monkey came down and started throwing plates and food at all of the guests!! Thankfully ling came and fought off the monkeys with her super powers and saved the day. Nice lighting! read more

On April 9, 2021. I ordered prok lomien .. and my bf order shrimp dinner.. well long story short.. he got food poisoning and so did I followed by an upper and lower intestinal infection.. do to poorly cooked food. Since I do have a low immune system due to medicine.. so for the past month or so. I've been deal with intestinal issues.. then I have heard other people in the area have gotten food poisoning from the food too.. be careful tons of complaints about thier food and cleanliness., People area always fitting ill. read more

Not disappointing at all- the food tastes amazing! As with every restaurant, food quality seems to vary, most likely depending on who is cooking that day. The best times to enjoy are during the prime dining times, as the food is fresher during those periods. The buffets are always closely monitored, quickly restocked, and clean. Staff always seems to be friendly, even with an occasional language barrier- the food will certainly make up for that. Give it a try! read more

I was in town for work and craving Chinese food. This restaurant was just down the road from my hotel. So I got on yelp and was shocked at the reviews. I decided to take a chance. I was expected to arrive to an empty restaurant with half filled pans of old food. In fact it was just the opposite. It is a Thursday night and there is a line to get in. All the dishes were full and piping hot. Everything that I ate was very good and had really nice flavors. The only review I can agree with is the egg rolls are not the best. But then as I am sitting here at my table the girl next to me tells her dad she got more of the egg rolls because she loves them. (I still say they need work). Went there with my wife and my girlfriend. We waited around for a waitress to take our order but they never did so I eventually had to get up to get one's attention to get our order started and all they did at first was hand me one menu... It was a pain in the butt trying to get someone over to our table to actually take our order and none of them could speak English well enough to help us out worth crap and when it was time to pay, I didn't even bother asking for a to go box because I'm quite sure they wouldn't even be able to understand what I was asking for... Ok-- as far as "Buffet-style" Restaurants go, this one is quite good. Run by a very nice Family with a great staff... the food is always fresh, hot and replaced continuously. They have Coconut Shrimp, Peanut Chicken, Pepper chicken with zucchini and Sesame-Orange chicken that are KILLER! They also have a regular "made to order" menu- which is a great choice if something you really like isn't on the buffet that day.. and they have pretty passable Dim-sum! My only wish is that they served sushi Like Red-Wok in Muskegon! a great choice for lunch-- since it is fresh, and a lot healthier than McD's and BK at the same price!!! read more

I found it very good, lots of stuff, all fresh with guy bringing out more dishes as folks dug in. Only reason not a 5, no steamed or fried dumplings in the buffet. Great selection, incorporated with some American dishes so its a great place to bring the family. Went there twice so far and the service is awesome! The only downside is do not ask for a booth... They have a clear glass privacy wall that is not very private... A nice trip to Lowe's for privacy film will do the trick... Without it , you feel your on display :( read more

Great Chinese for this area-better than Hunan (IMO). Their steamed dumplings and corresponding sauce are awesome. I get an order every time, eat a few, then save the rest-very good eaten cold later! (Hunan doesn't offer dumplings-FYI). All of their soups are great-I love the hot and sour, but also the won ton/egg drop combo soup! My husband is NOT a very big Chinese food fan-but he loves the shrimp fried rice. It is NOT one bit greasy-very unusual. Nice mixture of rice with veggies, egg and decent size shrimp. More people might enjoy 'fried rice' dishes if it were presented like this non greasy version. Me, I LOVE Chinese. I enjoy their Mu Shu (pork or chicken are my favs); I also get their vegetarian tofu stir fry with vegetables-spicy and flavorful. The egg rolls could be better-but I'm so happy to have a decent Chinese restaurant in the Ludington area-I'll take them! They offer a huge lunch and dinner buffet-but to me-Chinese needs to be fresh and loses its integrity sitting on hot plates-but that's just me. read more

Service is pathetic but the food gets the job done for what I like to call "heat lamp Chinese. " Crab ragoons and butter potatoes are great, everything else is run of the mill Chinese buffet. I eat here often, so they must be meeting the minimum standard for Chinese. read more

Stay Away! Worst place you will ever eat. I went in after a long day of disc golf today on Tuesday April 11th at 845 p.m. Waited to be sat as no one was around. Went to get food and a bunch of their buffet pans were empty. The pans that did have food in them had clearly been sitting for we'll over the allowed time, as skin was forming on almost everything, a lot of items had a rock hard crust and it was clear the cooks were in the back shutting down an hour and a half early. I have never eaten only one plate of food at a chinese restaurant before today. I never saw a server after I was sat other than to rush by and grab my plate without saying anything or asking if I was done with it. Then after I was finished (not eating any of the uneatable food on my second plate) I sat another 10 minutes by myself with no food waiting for my bill, whixh again no server. I got up and walked around saw one, as she turned around and rushed away from me. Went back to my table and sat back down thinking she was grabbing my bill. Nope. So I got up very angry and stood at the front counter. A few minutes later the server came running with my bill and just sat it on the counter. I asked for a manager she tells me there is no manager there. She follows up with "what happened whats the matter with you". I ask for a phone number she just shakes her head and says there isn't one. I asked when I can speak with one she says I don't know. This is all aside from me watching the diswasher carry out plates held against his shit that is dirty and food stained. Worst place I have ever eaten and I won't be suprised if they either close or get shutdown. read more

By far the worst food I've ever had the displeasure of trying to eat. Salt was counteracted by sugar which was countered by salt which was covered by sugar. The lowest quality dark meat chicken was used in all of the chicken dishes I tried. The only thing edible here is the rice. The food here will leave a lasting impression in the sense that if you ever eat somewhere with bad food you will ask yourself which was worse. Trust me, China Buffet will stand the test of time. I question whether anyone who has eaten here twice or thinks the food is anything other than horrible has ever left Ludington. read more
