Kung Pao chicken Combination plate
Karina C.

I have hesitant to try this place because of the 3 stars but my friend said she really liked it and I trust her so I finally tried it and first I will say the portion size for this combination plate is huge! You definitely have enough to have it for dinner and left overs for lunch the next day. It was ready fairly quickly, the price for the amount of food is perfect and the staff was nice. Now I also ordered egg drop soup because it doesn't come with it and that was really delicious. The combo comes with rice your choose of entree, egg roll and a wing. Everything was good but the Kung Poa. Kung poa is supposed to be spicy but it lacked so much flavor and no spice at all which left me disappointed especially since I had so much of it. Lol... it had lots of chicken, veggies, and peanuts but just was not flavorful at all. Of course nothing some spices and sarachi couldn't fix. Needless to say I will try something else to see how the flavor is for other items so overall not bad just not the best.

Singapore noodles, fried chicken wings, and 5x spicy szechuan beef.....Mmm ..mmmm
Krystal M.

I was leery to try this place after reading the other reviews. However I heard from a friend that their szechuan beef was really good ordered 5 times spicy. I ordered the fried chicken which was really crispy. I wasn't a huge fan of the spicy chicken wings, flavor was good but the breading was too much. I also ordered the Singapore spicy curry rice noodles which were the bomb, and the 5 times spicy szechuan beef delivered. Not only did I get my food in a timely manner I also got a free Chinese calendar! The customer service was great. Oh and if you are a fan of house mustard, try theirs, impressive heat. The prices were reasonable, actually much cheaper than alot of places in town. I'd order from them again.

The food is good, especially compared to other choices in Fountain. Prices are reasonable, portions are large, and they deliver!

Great service, good portions, good food! Affordable and quick. I had the sesame chicken:read more

**Ambiance** The…read morerestaurant itself is a decent size with plenty of seating and large booths, so it would be comfortable for families or larger groups. **Service** Service was great. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The staff spoke English as well as either Cantonese or Mandarin, which initially gave me high hopes for the food. **Food** I won't lie--I came in with pretty moderate expectations. After chatting with the staff in both Mandarin and Cantonese, I thought we were in for a really authentic meal. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We ordered five dishes, and it quickly became apparent that the food is heavily catered toward American tastes. Several dishes contained ingredients that traditionally wouldn't be included, while other key ingredients were missing altogether. The biggest issue for me was the sweetness. Three of the five dishes were noticeably sweet, which isn't what I expected from the dishes we ordered. The standout dish of the meal was the Mongolian Beef. It was flavorful and wasn't overly sweet. That said, it lacked the spice I typically associate with the dish. The Mapo Tofu was probably the biggest surprise. It was missing the ground pork that usually gives the dish so much flavor and texture. Instead, it included bell peppers, onions, and water chestnuts--ingredients I've personally never seen in Mapo Tofu. Rather than being spicy and numbing, the dominant flavor was sweetness. The Chicken Pan-Fried Noodles were difficult to enjoy. The sauce was very sweet, and the noodles were cooked to the point where they were tough and chewy. Instead of the thinner noodles commonly used for this dish, they used thick noodles that reminded me more of lo mein. We also ordered a Beef and Scallion dish. It felt more like a beef chop suey variation with scallions added. The scallions themselves were cooked perfectly, but once again the sauce leaned much sweeter than expected. The Hot and Sour Soup was actually the first item to arrive. I jokingly told my family that if the soup wasn't good, I might be worried about the rest of the meal because hot and sour soup is one of those dishes that really showcases balance and technique. Unfortunately, it ended up confirming my concerns. It lacked the bold sour and spicy flavors that make the dish so enjoyable. By the end of the meal, we had a lot of leftovers. The only items we brought home were the Mongolian Beef and a few pieces of beef picked out from the Beef and Scallion dish. **Overall** This restaurant may appeal to diners who enjoy sweeter, Americanized Chinese food, but it wasn't for me. Based on this visit, I wouldn't return, and I wouldn't personally recommend it to anyone looking for the flavors and dishes I grew up eating.

You get a large portion of either white or fried rice, an egg roll, egg drop soup as well as a large delicious cheese wonton for like $12! They were friendly and quick in preparing our order and also offered toys and books in the restaurant to keep my kids entertained while waiting. The restaurant was also very clean and had nice decorations inside

Let me start off by saying they did not come up in the search we did to find Chinese restaurants…read morethat deliver. We are new to the Fountain area and my husband has missed a great MiFun dish. Sad to say no one so far make the dish here. So let get into this review. We were rolling thru to go to Panda Express and spotted this spot. Went in were greeted upon entering ñ, got a menu, checked it out and immediately placed our order. The prices were very reasonable and they had items we missed. I ordered the shrimp fried rice with extra onions and green onions because that how I like it. My husband ordered the combination lomein extra spicy, a side of vegetable egg rolls and crabmeat wontons. The portion size for the shrimp fried rice was good, it looked good and it tasted good. The lomien was spicy and very flavorful but the portion sized stuff in that box was very disappointing for $14.95 plus tax!!!! The wonton were very good and the veggie egg rolls were small for $4.95 for 2 and disappointing as well... the place was nice on the inside and looked very cozy. For a total of almost $50 for 2 people and to be disappointed; we may give another try and see what some other favorites look like.

Visiting from Denver as we stayed at Hotel Polaris, we found this "Dim Sum Tea House" on Yelp. This…read morearea of CO Springs seems run down and the homeless were abundant. It was 98-100 degrees and really think we should of chose a different place after our experience and lack of customer service here. Parking was $1.50 per hour (First 2 hours) and then goes up per hour on the side street in front of this establishment. When you walk in, the place looks cute but after wandering around, it needs a deep cleaning and dusting. Our table was sticky, floors dirty. If you sit at the tables, you have to take your shoes off. There is no clear direction of what to do. We waited and I believe the owner came out and asked if we had reservations. There was no one in there, two women were seated at the regular tables. Also, you are charged $5 per person for this "tea ceremony" which is basically the other worker pouring hot water in the tea pot. So you get one tea choice per person. My nephew wanted cold tea aka their boba. He asked for a Mango slush boba but got watery straight milk tea that was inedible. We asked if he could switch out for another drink but they said No! If he wanted another drink, they would charge another $6 which the lady said was $5 if you got cold or hot. As a business owner, if someone asks for another option, customer service would be to either take it off the tab or offer to remake it correctly. The dim sum was edible but not really. Hearing microwave beeps. They came out hot but I don't know how fresh. I guess coming from Denver, we have real dim sum on carts and CO Springs is just a weird city with essentric taste buds. All the places we ate at were not great but Yelp reviews had 4-5 stars for them. Also, the way the place is set up, we heard all of our tea server's convo's. I won't mention what we heard but definately not what you want to listen to. Pictures attached and trust me look better than what they tasted. Taro buns were the only thing we liked. I am confused how people like this place. Neat concept but needs a lot of work and cleaning.
