Great service, good portions, good food! Affordable and quick. I had the sesame chicken:

**Ambiance** The restaurant itself is a decent size with plenty of seating and large booths, so it would be comfortable for families or larger groups. **Service** Service was great. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The staff spoke English as well as either Cantonese or Mandarin, which initially gave me high hopes for the food. **Food** I won't lie--I came in with pretty moderate expectations. After chatting with the staff in both Mandarin and Cantonese, I thought we were in for a really authentic meal. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We ordered five dishes, and it quickly became apparent that the food is heavily catered toward American tastes. Several dishes contained ingredients that traditionally wouldn't be included, while other key ingredients were missing altogether. The biggest issue for me was the sweetness. Three of the five dishes were noticeably sweet, which isn't what I expected from the dishes we ordered. The standout dish of the meal was the Mongolian Beef. It was flavorful and wasn't overly sweet. That said, it lacked the spice I typically associate with the dish. The Mapo Tofu was probably the biggest surprise. It was missing the ground pork that usually gives the dish so much flavor and texture. Instead, it included bell peppers, onions, and water chestnuts--ingredients I've personally never seen in Mapo Tofu. Rather than being spicy and numbing, the dominant flavor was sweetness. The Chicken Pan-Fried Noodles were difficult to enjoy. The sauce was very sweet, and the noodles were cooked to the point where they were tough and chewy. Instead of the thinner noodles commonly used for this dish, they used thick noodles that reminded me more of lo mein. We also ordered a Beef and Scallion dish. It felt more like a beef chop suey variation with scallions added. The scallions themselves were cooked perfectly, but once again the sauce leaned much sweeter than expected. The Hot and Sour Soup was actually the first item to arrive. I jokingly told my family that if the soup wasn't good, I might be worried about the rest of the meal because hot and sour soup is one of those dishes that really showcases balance and technique. Unfortunately, it ended up confirming my concerns. It lacked the bold sour and spicy flavors that make the dish so enjoyable. By the end of the meal, we had a lot of leftovers. The only items we brought home were the Mongolian Beef and a few pieces of beef picked out from the Beef and Scallion dish. **Overall** This restaurant may appeal to diners who enjoy sweeter, Americanized Chinese food, but it wasn't for me. Based on this visit, I wouldn't return, and I wouldn't personally recommend it to anyone looking for the flavors and dishes I grew up eating. read more

The restaurant is clean and the ac felt great on a hot day. Parking was easy. Service was quick. My ten year old loved the music. We ordered lots of classic Chinese appetizers and dishes and were disappointed by each plate that came out. Appetizers were cooked in old oil and you could taste it. Everything was burnt orange In color which was so odd: but possibly because everything was cooked in the same pan? Ordered pickup online. Plenty of options to choose from and wrll organized menu. We got the lunch beef fried rice and chicken crispy noodle. They came with soup and choice of egg roll or wonton. The wonton soup was delicious with two wrll stuffed tender wontons and flavorful broth. Egg rolls were nicely fried. The beef fried rice did need additional soy sauce and some salt but was great after that. Lots of big pieces of meat and veggies. They added bean sprouts for us too! This is not authentic Chinese food. It's a poor imitation of Americanized Chinese cuisine. We started with the Chinese spareribs, which had the potential to be good, but they were smothered in an overwhelming sauce. I ordered the pan-fried dumplings, which were mushy and tasteless. They weren't pan-fried at all--just deep-fried. Pan-fried dumplings have a distinct look and texture, and these clearly did not. The Mongolian beef tasted more like black pepper beef, and it was not enjoyable. My wife ordered the chicken with garlic sauce, which had no flavor whatsoever. On the positive side, the service was attentive, the tables were clean, and the décor consisted of generic tourist-style paintings. If you enjoy low-quality Chinese food, you might consider dining here. Personally, I can't recommend this place, and I will not be returning. read more

Not great. The Hunan chicken was mostly shredded onion and peppers. Very little chicken. Maybe an ounce of actual chicken. The portion of the Hunan chicken was noticeably smaller. Even the container was smaller (pictured) than the chicken lo-mein. The chicken lo-mein was waxy and had a funky plastic flavor. Not a fan. For the price of $16 each I was pretty disappointed. This is the best Chinese I have had in a very long time! 2 of our entrees had special instructions and they were perfect. Often a Chinese restaurant that has Pad Thai will not make it correctly. This was perfect! I also noticed that if a restaurant has Pad Thai they also offer summer/spring rolls, which tend to go hand in hand. But again they don't make them right. These were not offered. I was actually happy to see this. Knowing that everything we have had here has been perfect, my thought is that if they can't make the dish perfect, then they don't do it. Our first time here. ABSOLUTELY MUST COME BACK. This basically a new restaurant in the Springs area and we very strongly recommend it. Now that I have discovered dragon king I feel at peace because I know my Chinese cravings will always be satisfied. I ordered takeout from here the last night and found it friendly, affordable and delicious. My order exceeded expectations and all of the staff were genuine and friendly. The tofu pad Thai was flavorful and unique in that it didn't have bean sprouts or lime, but instead was served with lemon that added a sweet citrus aftertaste. I enjoyed the veggies mixed in and it wasn't spicy (not sure if you can ask for more spice). The general tsos tofu was phenomenal and knocked my socks off! It is one of my favorite dishes to begin with and dragon king blew it out of the water. The sauce is so good and a little bit sweet. The tofu in both dishes was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Lots of veggies in the tofu dish as well and accompanied by a side of steamed rice. It wouldn't be a true Chinese feast without vegetarian egg rolls, which had the most audible crunch and great flavor. So tasty to dip the hot tasty egg roll in the sweet and sour sauce. Honestly the food here was not very good. We were looking forward to it since the reviews were so good, but my pad Thai had no flavor or seasonings whatsoever and my husband's Mongolian beef was the same way. The pad Thai was extremely dry, and I usually like a saucier pad Thai. But it's just my preference, you may really enjoy it. Portions were huge, excellent value for the dollar- we have dinner for a 2nd night and then some. The restaurant is only 4 years, everything looks brand new and everything was super clean. Bottom line; Great food, attentive and friendly service (ALL the way through) and a very clean and inviting atmosphere. My wife and MIL came here about a year ago and wifey has been raving about how good it was for the whole year. Well... she was absolutely right. It really is a good thing we don't live in the area any more because we would be here ALL. THE. TIME! Everything is so clean when you walk in and you get greeted right away. The booths are nice and large, allowing for larger people to sit wherever and be comfortable. Everything was clean and well maintained. Even the dishes they served on seemed like new. We all ended up with chicken dishes from the Chef's Special Dinner menu and everything had such great quality to it. They seem to use higher quality chicken with more generous sizes and portions than you see at a lot of places. The sesame chicken, orange chicken, and General Tao's chicken all had distinct and wonderful flavors to them. I've been to so many places where you can't really detect much of a difference side by side. Mom got the sweet & sour chicken, which I thought was great. She didn't hate it at all, but is so excited to try more things on the menu and was jealous of our orders! Perfect crunch to the veggie spring rolls. Great flavors all around. My wife and I ordered from Dragon King for Christmas Eve, and the experience was frustrating from start to finish. We placed an order for four people at 4:30 pm for a 6:00 pm delivery. Dragon King advertises delivery times of 30-45 minutes, so we doubled that to account for the holiday. We even timed homemade side dishes to be ready at 6:00 pm. By 6:20 pm, there was still no food. When I called, it was obvious the restaurant was overwhelmed. The employee first said they hadn't started the order and would do so now, but then backpedaled and claimed it was in process. The contradiction didn't inspire confidence, so I drove to the restaurant to pick it up myself. When I arrived, around 20 people were waiting. In person, I was told - again - that my order hadn't been started and would take another 30-40 minutes. A few minutes later, the food suddenly appeared. At the time, I was just relieved to get it and didn't check the contents thoroughly. When I got home, I found out they forgot one of our entrees and the lettuce for the lettuce wraps. The food we did receive was mediocre at best. I ended up paying for a dish we never got, a delivery fee for food I had to pick up an hour late, and 20% tip on top of it all. No apology, no attempt to make it right, not even a small extra to acknowledge the inconvenience. I understand being busy on Christmas Eve, but this isn't a new restaurant. They should know how to handle high-volume nights. This felt like a complete lack of preparation and basic organization. I can't recommend Dragon King. I've came here 2 times with my friends and it's the best Chinese food, they got a menu in the mail and said I think it's the same one that's in fountain and they love that place. We all decided to stop by the day we got the menu and sure enough it's the same restaurant as in fountain just another location. I'm not a big fan of Chinese food never have been but this place is great. The chicken both times has never been chewy it's cooked perfect. So far everything I've had from this place is very good.
