Tucked away in a shopping center, I stopped in on my way home to order togo for my partner and I. They have chairs lined up in front of one of the doors and tables blocking easy access to the order counter. Not sure why. Maybe they have issues with thievery. I was promptly and politely greeted then asked to give them a few minutes. The restaurant is clean with a very busy kitchen of chefs hard at work visible from front of house. She took my order without much wait. My man's got his usual, beef fried rice and I asked her to recommend something for me. I think she was a little thrown off by that so she recommended something super safe, sesame chicken. I also got an order of the crab rangoons and chicken wings. I am told the fried rice was good. The crab rangoons were basically fried cream cheese triangles with little to no actual crab. Sesame chicken was very good. Wish it had more than 4 small piece of broccoli at the bottom. Chicken wings are very plain and need sauce. Overall an ok experience. read more

Review Visit: June 12th, 2019 You might wok in, but you will waddle out. After grabbing some coffee at Black Bear Coffee and waiting for my cousin to return from the Denver Airport, I wandered around the area. With there being quite a few places to eat at in the strip mall area, I checked them all out while my stomach started to demand food. With a phone call letting me know my cousin was almost back, we decided to grab some food at the China Wok. I woked over to meet my cousin, who had already arrived and grabbed a seat. I sat down and quickly ordered a water and looked at the lunch specials. Any time I see General Tsao's on the menu, I order it. This time was no exception. My cousin and I ended up ordering the same thing, except I go the egg roll and he got the crab rangoon. The wait for our food was short and it was delivered within 10 minutes. I devoured it in quicker time as it was my breakfast and lunch. Each bite was delicious. The spiciness could've been more, but it was delectable nonetheless. The lunch special came with a choice of soup. I knew the portions would be large, so I declined one with my order. The soups that came with everyone else's order did look tasty. Luckily, I judged right and was full off of the special without the soup. Everyone else had to get boxes for their remaining food. Definitely a good deal for under $8/person for the lunch special. China Wok was incredibly good, but it was and is probably just as good as your local Chinese restaurant. But... if you want to use it as an excuse to visit Colorado, you wouldn't be disappointed in the food and the views. read more

I've been here several times and always have either the sweet & sour chicken or sweet & sour pork lunch special with fried rice. It comes with choice of soup and an eggroll or crab rangoon. Very good value and consistently good. Friendly staff and quick service. It's not fancy but it's my choice for a cheap Chinese lunch. read more

A hidden gem, and worth seeking out for solid Chinese food. Don't be put off by outside appearances. Inside is neat with semi-open kitchen and only 6 booths. Food is fast, good, and hot if you eat in. Portions are large and prices more than reasonable. They do a steady carry out trade, which seems like a shame since this food is always best piping hot, which it very much is when you eat in. The menu is pretty standard, with some Thai dishes thrown in. First time here, won't be the last. Been looking for good Chinese food since Silver Pond closed, I think I found it! The food isn't horrible, but the service isn't great. We walked in to order to go, and the girl was on her phone and acted like a child. Wasn't professional at all. For 2 of us to eat, (not even the meals) just the entrée it was $50. Back home we can both get meals at our local Chinese for under $30. The restaurant doesn't look super clean and the staff is in & out of the restaurant. Went a second time and ate inside and they acted like we was a burden. Absolutely love this place!!! This is only our 2nd time ordering from them and I'll never go any where else! The food is great, but the service is PHENOMENAL!!! They communicated well with us when they were out of the egg drop soup and refunded us for it AND gave us an extra wanton soup just to be nice! We did get home to realize that we were missing our king pao shrimp, but they made us a new one on the spot (less than 5 minutes!). The woman I spoke to on the phone was so so so sweet! Ordered Mongolian beef to take home. It smelled and tasted a little burned. It was a mix of a few pieces of beef with a ton of onions and the sauce was watery. Egg roll was good and the steamed rice was good. By the way they charge you extra for the fried rice when they are already sort of pricey. This was an interesting experience, and honestly I am surprised that I am giving it 4 stars. Its probably more like 3.5, but I'll round up. Normally we frequent an different joint, but this was on my way home from work. I was nervous a bit about it having 3.5 stars overall, and read a couple negative reviews. It's small and quaint (I guess that's the word) and when I walked in, a young lady was sitting in a booth and got up to take my to go order. I asked which items I could get with white meat chicken and she said 'any' so I chose sesame chicken. Here is where it gets weird...several people who worked there came by and looked at the screen at my order. There was a man sitting about 5 feet from me, behind the cashier, who was sitting next to a large bin that would normally be used to bus dishes. You know what I am saying right.... a large probably 20 inches by 12 inches and at least 20 inches deep large gray bin. This bin was filled with cooked, fried chicken peices. He looked at my order, opened the to go container and started using it to scoop the chicken up, my chicken. No heat lamp, nothing keep it at temp. I paid and went to my car and texted my husband 'I think I made a mistake', eventually went back in a got my order. I thought to myself, well if I get food poisoning, its Thursday, so take Friday off and I have the rest of the weekend if I am sick (why am I like this) anyhoo it's been more than 24 hours, we all lived with no poisoning. Also, it was tasty and hot! Tl;dr: weird practices, tasted yummy, no one got sick. Please take your weird prep to the back where I can't see it. Never again. I ended up in the hospital after eating at this place. Food poisoning. I ate some of their chicken lo mein & less than an hr after I couldn't stop vomiting. It got so bad I was so dehydrated that I had to go to the ER to get some fluids because I wasn't even able to drink water.
