We first ordered the crab wontons, they were so good we devoured them so quickly! They were perfectly crispy and filled with the crab and cheese! I would order these every time! We then shared 3 different rolls of sushi, the golden mango roll was my favorite, sweet and crispy! We loved it all and left clean plates! The best part was the robot cat waiter! I've been searching for good Chinese food in town and finally decided to try Fuji Bistro...I'm so glad I did! They also have Japanese and Thai dishes on the menu as well. The food was fresh, served hot, and came out quickly. We ordered the General Tso's Chicken and the Mongolian Beef, and both were absolutely delicious. The Calamari Tempura tasted like it was straight from the freezer bag. The Spicey tuna roll was puréed and not Spicey at all. The rest of the rolls were lack luster at best with very little flavor and were very small in size. Pay more and get better sushi. Skip this place unless you're strapped for cash, not for a treat. We've eaten here over a dozen or so times over several years. Today, we came before the Sunday lunch rush - ordered the Black Pepper Udon on Sizzling Plate, Orange Chicken & Mochi Ice Cream. The orange chicken was good but the Udon was very salty. The mochi ice cream was twice the price on the table flyer menu. Two pieces for $7 vs the advertised $3.50 and I complained to no avail. I'll gladly pay any amount for what was advertised but they doubled the price because of inflation without marking it on their flyer & give no concession - is outrageous. What a lovely lunch coming here was. I brought my daughter and her friend after a long trip to the mall. We were all starving and by the reviews for this place, we thought...why not give it a shot. Myself and my daughters friend ordered a bento box and my daughter got sushi. Everyone loved their food so much. The girls wanted dessert so they got the banana spring rolls and loved it so much it was gone within a couple minutes. The restaurant itself was very clean. Most of the staff was really friendly. I've had a Yelp account for years and years and never left a review-but this place deserves recognition. We came in an hr before closing and were surprised to see an empty dining room. We ordered: Egg drop soup Red Phoenix Roll Spicy Yellowtail Roll Yaki Udon with Shrimp Mongolian Beef The soup was purely for nostalgia sake and took me back to my childhood. Simple, but what I was looking for. We've had sushi all over the Springs and somehow, the place we chose to only order 2 rolls at impressed us more than all the places we ordered exclusively sushi-- I'm talking in portions as large as the sushi boat! The Red Phoenix roll has a peppered tuna that was so clean tasting and offered the perfect amount of pepper and garlic flavor, drizzled with a honey wasabi sauce. This sauce was unique and it was refreshing to not have a roll covered in a sauce to where it's all you taste. The yellowtail roll was meant to just be a simple choice and wasn't expecting much..., but the "crunch" they add to it was such a nice addition. I usually only see the crunch as a topping whereas this was within the roll, made fresh, and while accompanied by sauces, still did its namesake; crunched. Both entrees, or plates rather, were also wonderful. Mongolian beef was very tender and full Of flavor served with rice. Yaki udon noodles were perfectly cooked with again, such clean flavors--not covered in a sauce where you can't even taste the vegetables. Shrimp was cooked perfectly as well. The restaurant was extremely clean. Every table around us was perfectly set waiting for more guests to arrive. Our server, Mei, was very sweet and kept herself busy spot sweeping around us. I can't imagine there was much to get as you couldn't see anything on what appeared to be a freshly mopped, tile floor. To top it off, the music playing was a mixture of Shakira and Akon. As new, first time parents who don't get out much, it was a nice throwback to our younger days and reminiscent of times when dining out at 830 p.m didn't pose so many risks to your sleep. The staff clearly pays attention to the details here. Napkins in perfectly tight folds, immaculate cleanliness, beautiful plating of sushi and entrees, and the food was ALL perfect and at a good price. This was our first visit, but won't be our last! Got their chicken fried rice which had lots and of veggies which included bean sprouts that are my favorite and most restaurants omit putting them in their fried rice. We were a mid-sized party (6) and tried to make reservations in advance, but was told they don't take reservations on holidays. When we arrived, because of the size of our party - they asked if we made reservations because they're required for our size party.. so that was a miscommunication bummer. Service was pretty slow, and they weren't extremely busy, we had to waive down servers a few times because we weren't checked on. Very impress with the sushi here. We came to Colorado Springs for a visit and found this place online. It was better than I thought as far as the ambiance, food and service. First off -- this is my first ever sushi place in the Colorado Springs area....Secondly it was DELICIOUS!!! You guys. The sushi here is AMAZING!!! Honestly every roll we ordered tasted like pure heaven. We will definitely be coming back.. the rolls are a little pricey but they're filled to the brim with goodies and they don't hold back on the size/portions. So the cost and portion size is pretty decent. We ordered the spider roll, out of control roll, and the volcano roll. The volcano roll was fried and was both our favorites!!! But the spideroll was a close second! Also we got some unagi sashimi and egg rolls. We do Grubhub and the food is always packaged well and tastes delicious! I really like the food here!
