It has been years and years since I've been here and had find memories of the food here so when I found myself near here I decided to get some takeout. There were some young employees working which I'm all for, except one young man was seated with his feet up when I walked in and he did not move to help me, just said welcome and have a seat anywhere. Very laid back atmosphere! I ordered the Szechuan shrimp and scallops and the fried chicken with mushrooms with an egg drop and hot sour soup, and the bao bao platter. I don't know if it's changed ownership or chef since the last time I was here but it just didn't have that umami I was looking for. Wow -- this place blew us away! The service was super fast, and every single dish we ordered was fantastic. My husband even said it might be the best Chinese restaurant we've ever eaten at (and he doesn't say that lightly!). Portion sizes were generous, and we had plenty of leftovers -- which reheated just as deliciously the next day. We're from out of state, but this spot will definitely be a must-stop for us anytime we're in Colorado Springs. Nothing back home even comes close to the quality or flavor here. Had the lunch special. Food was tasty, and they even bring out the little crunchy noodles for your soup, included. Ate the combo Kung Pao, with the side of fried rice. The Kung pao had great flavor, the rice was just ok. Egg roll was decent, and the service was excellent. Had the egg drop soup, it was great as well. Wow the prices have nearly doubled in the last two years. I've been coming for several years, the food was nothing special, but the positions are generous and the cost was low, so we could stretch it for two full meals. However, the prices have continued to climb and for almost $18 for a beef dish I won't return. read more

It's alright for the middle of the country without a significant Chinese population in town. Food is well prepared. Portions are generous and can stay under $20 for dinner for two. All entree come with rice, appetizer, and soup. The restaurant is legit in that the kids are cleaning vegetables while doing homework or playing video games. After leaving behind my hometown spot I've always found it hard to track down a go to place for Chinese food. Thankfully after moving to the springs I found Overseas 101 within the first couple months. We have pretty much the same order every time we order, and we have ordered far too many times. Egg fried rice with bean sprouts and green onions has the perfect flavor. The sesame chicken is tasty, and crispy. The cashew chicken is deliciously sauced. Their egg drop soup is good, but I can't help but order the hot and sour soup with each meal. The food is consistently great and hits right every time, whether delivery or pickup. The delivery fee is pretty fair priced, and is often Brian bringing out the food which great because then we get quick and friendly service before the meal. This super tiny place was suggest by. Local librarian! Very cozy inside, but neat and clean. We were asked to choose any place to sit. I got the "Vegetable Egg Foo Young" for lunch. Large portions of everything, well not everything. They give you a lots of vegetables and thick brown sauce in a separate container. But then there's this one super thin, not huge, piece of egg foo young sitting there by its lonesome. It was sad, especially when that's a main part of the dish. Very disappointing. read more

Overseas 101 offers consistently tasty carry out, no matter what we order. We've tried the shrimp lo mien, orange chicken, sesame shrimp, kung pao chicken, vegetable egg rolls, wonton soup, etc. Our carry out orders are always ready on-time and the food is packaged well and stays hot until we get home.The servings are plentiful! The shrimp they use are the big ones and there are always several in the entree. Knocked one star off because the crab wontons have been a little over-fried and the oil they were cooked in might have needed a change. The sauces can sometimes be a bit too sweet. Small Restaurant is in a strip mall. When you walk in, there are only booth tables along the walls. Food was wonderful. However, both the orange chicken and the general tsos chicken didnt have the same usual flavor. But still good. Finally!! A place that gets it right when you ask for extra spicy! Generous portions and service was friendly, quick and efficient. Temperature of food was perfect. The hot n sour soup was probably the best ive had since moving here to colorado in 2005. read more

My General Tso's was very sweet and my husbands fried rice was extremely oily. Service is fine. Friendly and attentive. Lunch for two was only $17 which you can't beat. I'm a fan. Just picked up takeout for the first time. I honestly never noticed this place before. It's easy to miss. I walked in and they immediately greeted me, asked if I was dining in our takeout. I stated takeout. They took my order gave recommendations when I asked and offered me tea or water while I wait for my order. I declined but was impressed that they asked. I will NEVER order anything from this restaurant until they straighten out their times. They offer items from the lunch menu until 3:30pm. I entered an order at 3:10pm from their lunch menu and requested delivery. Since the delivery time falls after 3:30, it said it couldn't be delivered until tomorrow. Frustrating, but whatever. I change it to pickup which would be ready at 3:30. When I try to complete the order, it says that 3:30 is "past the lunch order time" and would have to be switched to the dinner menu. What a crock! I'll just order from a restaurant that actually WANTS to complete an order. read more
