We stopped in for a to go order after the air show on Sunday. Straight out of the gate, I'll say it's middle of the road. We ordered Mongolian beef with sweet & sour chicken and some egg rolls. I am basing this review on the food alone, delivered. I did not step foot into the restaurant. While at Family Day on Parris Island, an Asian gentleman walked up to me, stuffed a menu in my hand and said "We deliver". I wasn't paying much attention and shoved it into my pocketbook. We returned to the hotel that afternoon and took a nap. Afterwards, my daughters and I were hungry but no one wanted to leave the hotel and no one wanted pizza. I remembered the menu, pulled it out and ordered some food to be delivered to us, paying with a credit card. The lady on the phone was polite and got the order correct the first time. She said 30-45 minutes, but it arrived before 30 minutes were up (delivered by the same guy who gave me the menu). Everything was packed well and super hot. The food was fresh and tasted very good. I ordered General Tso's chicken and for once, it was actually spicy (a good thing LOL). The egg-rolls and spring-rolls were fat and not at all greasy. This wasn't gourmet Chinese food, these were standard Americanized Chinese dishes you can find in Any Town USA. BUT, it was fresh, hot, tasty, inexpensive and they delivered to a hotel. There were enough leftovers to save (thanks mini-fridge in the Days Inn!) and we packed it up in a cooler the next day and took it home. LOL read more

Got there around 5pm for dinner. Place looked dingy, but we were hungry and gave it a try. Staff was actually friendly, despite previous reviews. A slice of metal was found in the banana pudding, luckily before it entered anyone's mouth. Food was like tasteless cardboard. It was also lukewarm and stiff, like it had been sitting out for hours. Cute family run restaurant. This is our 2nd time attempting any Asian influenced buffet, and I wish we had tried this one first. Much closer to home than the one out in Bluffton that was a joke for the $60 ticket. :eye roll: So back to China Dragon. Food was kept fresh and for a smaller buffet, we were not disappointed! My picky husband and kiddos and I all found plenty of fare to fill us up and happily. For under $8 a person, I was very pleased and satisfied. I hate that the overall rating of this place kept us from even trying it out for over a year. Hopefully some more good reviews will bump it up, because we were happy happy. Only con is the decor. It's a bit drab and out of date, but it's a small family owned restaurant, so I won't let that influence much. :) Definitely give it a try! It's worth a shot, for sure. This is the lowest review I will ever give on Yelp and here's the reason why... standby: I am currently in town visiting and staying at a hotel so I ordered Chinese. No big deal, right? WRONG. I just wanted some good ol' Americanized Chinese food BUT the lady on the other line was being blatantly rude. Now now, I am not one to be easily phased by other peoples lack of customer service but her amount of rudeness was so overwhelming. She was snappy, impatient, and called me back to tell me that they did not have enough meat left to make the meal that I ordered and ended that with "so..." Instead of suggesting another dish, she just waited for me to say something. In all honesty, she sounded like she a typical, inexperience, self-entitled 16 year old. I haven't even gotten my food yet but I don't even care. I hope she learns basic customer service etiquette or get fired immediately. They only deliver through ToGo Dish which can get very pricy considering you have to order at least $20 worth of food. Their food tastes decent but you better be hungry because they always give you way too much! Highly recommend their spring rolls because those are the bomb! This joint is very cheap...I mean that as monetarily and in quality. To clarify: we did have lunch Buffet. You can go out with two people for under 20$ but you're much better off going anywhere else for just a little bit more. The food was "alright", but that's about all that I can give it. It was pretty inexpensive but the service is pretty sad. It's just a family with their two 10 years old sons handling the floor so don't expect any level of attentiveness. Most of the food was either very old or just completely out over the entire course of the hour we sat there. I don't really have much else to say about it though. I have eaten here a few times. I ordered the soba noodles and chicken. It was very good! And plentiful, as well. I went again with my other son and we ordered their Ramen. When they brought it out, I was kinda embarrassed and disappointed because the noodles looked like the Ramen you buy at Walmart that's packaged in shape of a brick. Chunks of noodles were still stuck together just like Walmart ones. I wanted to ask if they were same noodles, but didn't. Lol The Ramen was actually good. It had a great flavor. Dinner is 5.99 while lunch is 5.79. Not bad right? However we came during lunch and discovered the food is really low in quality. Hence, you get what you pay for! There's one side with two rows of trays consisting of the fried foods. I noticed alot of it wasn't even Chinese food like chicken nuggets, mini hotdogs wrapped in bacon, fried mozzarella, pizza, soggy buffalo wings bathing in oil, fried zucchini. They had a tray of small fried shrimp that looks like the bagged headless kind you'd find at Walmart or bi lo. The fried cream cheese wontons were stale and the egg drop soup was thick and goopy almost like pudding. Then there's the side of trays with the main dishes but not alot to choose from. Their sweet and sour dishes were soggy and tasted the same. The fried rice was okay but the chow Maine was flavorless. They have sushi rolls but to my disappointment, the fillings were cucumber, carrot and egg. Then there's the station with imitation crab salad, chopped and seasoned cucumbers, cole slaw, and a small assortment of desserts and an ice cream station with chocolate, strawberry, vanilla that you scoop yourself. The foods that I thought were alright were the fried chicken wings, terriyaki chicken, and the fried rice. There's an option for takeout but overall this place is a no go for me. read more

I wish I had read the yelp reviews before I ordered. I ordered delivery of scallops (not scallops but uniformly stamped out skate fish) spring roll and Kung Po (spicy) chicken and I asked for mustard packets. 6 Blocks away it took over 45 min. No napkins or mustard. The "scallops" have already been mentioned. The spring rolls were tasteless. The Kung Po tasted like wet cardboard. I do not think in my 63 years and dozens of Chinese restaurants that I have ever had tasteless Chinese food! But this place has found a way to serve it.
