My first-ever negative review of a restaurant: this place is NO BUENO. Traveling to Bluffton on business. Hungry and tired after a long/hard 14 hour days work. First impression as you enter; the place is dirty, surprisingly dirty. The door had cobwebs and mold growth on the door itself. How hard is it to wipe down a door? Zero customers anywhere. Bathroom was bad - yikes bad. Next, there were 2 young children literally laying about on the floor in a corner resting on a makeshift bed with pillows and blankets watching videos on a tablet at full volume while the adults are ignoring the kids and any basic cleaning efforts. My gut say leave. I'm here and hungry, I choose to ignore my instincts and order chicken fried rice. How do you screw up chicken fried rice? I walk next door to check into an adjacent hotel, come back 10 minutes later and the employee gives me a bag. I fail to inspect the bag and assume he gave me my order - wrong. I walk back from the hotel and he gives me a different bag. Ok, no problem - simple /honest mistake - I'm a reasonable guy and choose not to comment or complain. Back to the hotel, open the chicken fried rice order and settle in for a well deserved meal. After a couple bites, I don't see any chicken - at all. No eggs. Zero peas and carrots. No scallions. Couple more bites - no protein, only TINY minuscule slivers of a chicken-like substance. Not sure why, but I call the restaurant to inquire about the order and he says bring it back. So now I'm back in this dirty, poorly managed, code violation worthy restaurant to show them there is no meat or vegetables in the order he just prepared 15 minutes ago. He begins yelling at me, saying: "what do you expect " and; "do you want a whole chicken!" in broken English. I decide to make a joke to bring some levity to the conflict and say; "you need a microscope to see the chicken". I smile. He does not find the humor in my comment. His face is now red and he's surprisingly overly angry at me for complaining. I suddenly realize the real reason he's so upset is because he knows his food is low-grade, his family is miserable, he has no customers, and his restaurant is failing. He continues yelling at me so I accept my defeat and depart quietly taking care not to touch the mold growth on the door as I leave. read more

Sat at one of the four tables. No plates utensils etc. takeout container placed in front of you with a tiny plastic fork so small it was useless. We had the misfortune of ordering takeout from this "restaurant ". What a mistake. Our order was a simple one; Sesame chicken, pineapple rice with chicken, hot and sour soup, and brown rice. You'd think they could have gotten at least one item done in a reasonably edible way. Every single dish was inedible. It started with the worst soup I've ever had the misfortune to dip a spoon into. Not only did the soup taste terrible, it was neither hot nor sour, and the fried noodles were stale. The chicken in both the sesame and pineapple rice had a base vaguely reminiscent of an orange sauce; with overcooked, over-breaded, and overly dried pieces of chicken. Yum! The rice received was actually white rice (not brown as ordered), again overcooked and dried to the point that I'm sure would have been useful as ammunition for a pellet gun. Then, to top it all off, the fortune cookie was stale, really stale, so stale it had the consistency of bread with zero taste. Let this place be backup last choice for your last choice food place. Today was my first time trying out there food. They are the only place that delivers around my area so I took the chance. We ordered sesame chicken with fried rice, egg roll, spring roll, wonton soup. The chicken seemed old and tasted gross. Pretty sure we got yellow rice instead of fried rice and the taste was off. The wonton was overcooked. The rolls were pretty tasteless. Even the crispy noodles tasted stale and old. Needless to say most of our food ended up in the trash. I waited 90 minutes for delivery. Was told it would be at least an hour. I understand busy on a Saturday night. That's ok. But it was a long wait. Delivery guy was very friendly. While visiting Bluffton, SC, we stopped here, bought take-out and took it back to our motel room. It was FANTASTIC!!! We had combo dinners - chicken & broccoli and shrimp & vegetables. The egg rolls were the best we've had - light & VERY tasty. My husband very rarely compliments restaurants, but he did here. He was VERY PLEASED with the amount & variety of vegetables in his dish. The flavor of both dishes were excellent!!! We HIGHLY recommend Panda Chinese Restaurant!! For the person who commented about the toddler - have you never been in a Chinese Restaurant before? - most, if not all, have their children stay with them. They WANT to be with their kids and most, if not all, turn out to be very bright, well behaved and hardworking individual's. We WILL definitely return!! read more

The chicken fried rice is yellow rice (greasy, like a mix) with pieces of chicken that look like it was torn off a rotisserie with large chunks of barely cooked white onion. We love this place! The man at the front is always super friendly! Although their food is super good and affordable, the Lo Mein barely comes with any toppings like shrimp, chicken, etc. other than that it's amazing! First time ordering. Ordered $60 worth of food. Picked it up, kept it firmly in my arms and right side up for my 5 minute drive home. Realized once I got inside my home that the sauce had spilled everywhere from the bottom of the bag ruining my pants and even all the way down to my shoes. Left an imprint on my car seat and dripped all over my stairs and kitchen. It was from one dish at the bottom of the bag which wasn't sealed properly and was overflowing with sauce. Beware....if you do delivery be aware it could be a 2-2.5 hr wait (was told take out can be just as long from the del driver). We ordered our food at 7:45 and was told it would be an hour. Well, fast forward to 9:15 (1.5 hrs after placing order) I called to check and see if our food was still being delivered. Was told yes it was out for delivery now and should be there any minute. So we continued to wait...now it's 9:45 (2 hrs after placing order) so I called again because I didn't think it would take 30 mins to deliver my food. The man who I spoke with (mind you it was the same person everytime) was extremely rude and told me well I'll just cancel your order is that what you want. I then replied with what I want is my food I ordered over 2 hours ago and you said would be here in an hour. Then you said over 30 mins ago that it was out for delivery. He then said give it 5 more mins and hung up. When the driver got here he was extremely nice and not his fault at all but he did say that it gets busy and he is the only driver at the time and they are overwhelmed with the amount of orders they receive. My thoughts are this...if you treat all your customers the way you did me this time you won't have to worry about being over whelmed in the future. Oh and when the food did arrive it was warm not hot but then what can I expect huh. We have eaten there a few times before...in store and delivery but I feel this was our last time. The staff was very friendly upon entering the restaurant. We ordered General Tso's chicken and sesame chicken. Before I began eating, I noticed the "sauce" on both plates was watery, compared to most Chinese restaurants where those dishes usually have a somewhat thick sauce added on the chicken. After consuming a couple pieces of chicken, it was obvious that the quality of the chicken was poor. It was petty "rubbery" and hard to break apart. Their options are good, prices are reasonable, portions are large so you can easily make two or three meals out of one entree, and they do no take long to deliver at all. Out of all the times we have ordered (more than I care to admit but they know us lol) we have had only one instance where I was upset at the amount of time it took. I went to one with the same name on Bluffton rd. next to the AAA office and La Hacienda Mexican. two Chinese rest. with the same name in Bluffton a few miles apart? !!! the one I went to is not even on yelp. I would give the food a b+.. but the floor is sticky and the place is kind of grungy. it has a A rating on the door from the health dept. but it needs a good degreasing and cleaning. It took 78 min to get a small order delivered. I didn't realize Monday nights were so popular for Chinese delivery. If you are hungry it might be better to just go to the restaurant or call another place.
