The ice cream cone was stale, the rice was over cooked, the noodles were soggy and shit. When we walked in it smelled like dirty ass. The service wasn't that good it felt like we were being rushed. I think they need to hire completely new cooks. Nothing was fresh and I just wanted something good to eat they really bamboozled my ass. Sorta pricy for a rural area but pretty amazing selection and food! We went on seafood Saturday and my family enjoyed all the food and the local scene (we are not from that area). Great place to stop for healthy meal options when driving between omaha and St. Louis. The buffet is plentiful and fresh with options for everyone, salad, dessert, treats and lots of vegetables and meat options. Friendly staff, clean restaurant. We will never eat at this location again. We have enjoyed many times but last time was it. We had placed an order for to go food. There was a cockroach in our hot and sour soup. The english of the staff is so bad we could hardly explain what had happened. They offered a full refund but beware eating here. Its nasty if there was one cockroach there are many, many more. Great frest food on Buffet and an amazing menu as well...Super Friendly Staff who are always happy to see you...even when you call ten minutes before closing for a take out order... Most days it's fantastic. Other days...not so much. The water is from tap, which isn't that bad, but the taste can be weird some days. The buffet is good but could be bigger. I have ate at a lot of China Gardens throughout Missouri, a lot of times. Love them. Tried this one a couple months ago, wasn't nothing like the rest. Always out of most everything that my family and I like, what did eat you could tell had been sitting for awhile. Well decided to try one more time when we was up there the other night. What a mistake. Two couples that were together was in there, that's it. Should have known then just to turn around and go somewhere else. They was out of ten different things on the buffet. Each of us got a little plate of some stuff and figured they would replenish the other stuff, nope, so finally asked, said it would be 10 minutes , waited , another group of gentleman came in , they asked, said they were working on it. Waiter has the nerve to bring us are bill, that's when I had enough , got up , and told them I would pay them half and that is it. They finally agreed, but asked first if could just wait another five minutes. In my opinion they must don't get a lot of business , so stuff sits that isn't peoples favorites, and they try not to keep all the good stuff that people prefer out on buffet, so they will eat all the other things . read more
