Great place to eat!!! But you have to go when it's busy. Otherwise they barely bring fresh food out.

A well stocked buffet with a variety of dishes to satisfy most diners, this diner serves up many Chinese options. That last part is important because some Chinese buffets offer pizza, hot dogs, and other American fare. China Garden doesn't. It has six stations with 5-10 items on each--entrees, salads, sides, soups, and desserts. A hibachi grill allows you to select raw ingredients and have them cooked into a hot entree. In my visit there was sloppy labeling of food. Many food trays were unlabeled or even mislabeled. Was that catsup or cocktail sauce I put on my plate? And what was described as hibachi chicken was clearly a crab and cheese casserole. Preparation and presentation also varied. Most dishes looked appetizing and were. Peel and eat shrimp, for example, were very fresh. The sushi...sorry. Poorly made pieces had sat too long and were uninviting. Ditto the wasabi that had dried to a clay-like consistency. Came here for lunch, as soon as you walk in you are greeted and seated. The restaurant has beautiful decorations and a large indoor koi pond. The food is always best when warm so be careful about coming between lunch and dinner. They rotate out the cool food when warm food comes out though. I will be returning here periodically. read more

I took my family there to eat dinner tonight September 1st 2023, I got up to get some soup and friends noodles to go into the soup I placed a spoon full in my bowl of the fried noodles and a cockroach crawled out from the noodles when I jumped and moved the spoon a second cockroach crawled to the top I immediately called one of the waiters over to the pan that was on the buffet and said look there is a cockroach he moved the spoon around and said yes ok ill tell the guys to move it off were closing its ok. I would of took a photo of the roaches but of course the one time I left my phone at the table. I walked back to the table grabbed my belongings and told my children to drop all the food now when I got to the register to tell the owner he said "oh ok ill go see now pay the bill" then asked if I left a tip I turned and told him yea to is not make people pay for roach invested food. I walked out side to where my car was parked right at the front door and I started to throw up my $60 roach invested food. DO NOT EAT THERE THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN. read more

Been going here for years. Beautiful restaurant. Service is usually good, but occasionally hit or miss, seemingly due to turnover with how rarely I have the same waiter/waitress. The food is great when it's kept fresh, though they sometimes struggle in that department, though they do have a wide array of options (including sushi). They have an area for fresh grilled food, but sometimes the ingredients seem to have sat awhile, and they don't always have someone manning the station. read more

Before Covid, we would eat here often. I am glad to see their high standards are still doing well. Oh they have a menu of some of my favorates. Mushu pork and sizzling rice soup. Best Chinese restaurant north of Columbia! Salmon steak, phenomenal! As was General Tso's chicken, teriyaki chicken, seafood casserole. The stuffed mushrooms and crab Rangoon are a slice of heaven. Reasonable prices and great customer service. What more could you want? read more

Good Food, OK Prices Has both American and Traditional Chinese food. Has a Hibachi bar. Staff is nice as long as you can reach past their accent. Have all Coke products, Tea, Water, and some juices. China Garden is a very good place to eat. I especially like the Mongolian grill. They have a wide variety of foods to choose from including some American items. They have healthy choices for every dietary need: plenty of vegetables, fresh fruit, etc. all served by very friendly staff. If you do not like to eat at a buffet you may also order off of their menu. I prefer that option, so that I can take my leftovers home for another meal. They also offer carry-out food. On the weekends they have a special seafood buffet making it a good place for a date.. Also after 14 ye old daughter requests change to use in the machine to try win a stuffed animal quarters are thrown at her. She was respectful to him so why wasn't he respecting the customer. I was here a year ago on a Saturday evening and it was awesome, everything fresh, crab legs, roast beef, poached fish... Today on a weekday at 4pm, food has been out too long, noodles are rubbery... Ok this place good to eat but most of the item on display was cold. I told the server but nothing. Yes food does taste good but it has to we warm at least. Dinner buffet start at 345pm. About 3 years ago this used to be my favorite restaurant in town I very much enjoy the Coit pond the slas time I was there for my birthday meal with my mother I had a horrible experience where the manager insistently argued over the happy hour discount from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. we were about 5 minutes early and the only discount would have been $2 per person four dollars total and he was very rude to my mother who is handicapped and in a wheel chair with oxygen. The food was fairly delicious other than the egg rolls where the meat and pork inside of them tasted bitter as it had seemingly gone sour. We tried multiple of the egg rolls with 2 different people to verify that this wasn't just us. The manager insisted we leave over a dispute that would have been only $4 over 5 minutes. I think the prices have gone up, we used to go there for the buffet but got tired of the wait. We went there for sea food night for the crab legs and they would bring out a little plate full at a time while there would be a whole restaurant full of people waiting for them so then it turns into a mad dash as everyone jumps up and runs up there to try to get a crab leg, then there becomes a line waiting at the buffet for them to bring more out, they need to get their kitchen in gear and by now should know they need to be getting those things out faster but nope seems like they cook one little batch at a time, so why do I pay extra for sea food night so we can go out to eat for crab legs but then spent most of the time sitting in the restaurant waiting for them to actually get them out on the buffet. read more

Thank goodness I can make a meal off their salad bar, soup and appetizers. When I go for chinese I want a good chinese main meal but all they have is the same thing all the time, I do like beef and brocalle, and some of their other main meals but would like to see a meat and vegetable medley or chicken chow mein some thing different once in awhile but every time we come here it is the same thing. We do come here at least once a month because they do have good service and the food is good but would just wish they would change their main chinese meals. It would be nice to have something different everyday. Their Friday and Saturday meals are Great especially their shrimp. read more
