came by to get some dinner before my deliver shift, the staff was pretty warm and very quick getting my order and later on thanking me for it. Beef satay was very good, beef was super tender and lightly sauced, really it was amazing. now the Chicken fingers, was bit disappointed it was not a crispy tender and instead the same type of breaded chicken you get with a sweet and sour chicken to dip into, still tasted great though. white rice was good, not much to say. Great experience! Visiting from Maryland, heard this restaurant had wonderful food. We ordered General Tso's chicken, General Tso's Tofu, Steamed Vegetables, Spring Rolls, and Pork Egg Rolls. What an incredible feast! Everything tasted fresh, perfectly cooked, and very tasty. The people in the restaurant were turning out several orders, but were very careful to ensure we had everything. Portions are large, the four of us were full and had plenty of leftovers. I highly recommend this restaurant and am sure to return on our next visit! read more

This is the best Chinese take out food in the Hudson Valley hands down. It's all the stuff you expect, very basic pick up area with no bells and whistles, the normal Chinese takeout menu items... but theirs just tastes so much better! Their moo shu is the best moo shu. Their egg foo young is the best egg foo young. Their hot and sour soup is the best hot and sour soup. It's actually quite difficult to find a reliable Chinese food place, maybe coz of the sheer number & glut of eateries in NYC, a lot of which are hit-and-miss. Glad to report that all four of us, who ate lunch at China Garden, thoroughly enjoyed our savory, well-prepared, non-greasy, and cheerfully served sesame chicken, chicken with broccoli and beef with mixed vegetables. The place was noticeably clean & well-kept. Three four-seater tables make for a cozy fit but take-out orders flew all the while. read more

Does not look like much from outside, but best Chinese food in the area. Love their chicken with broccolli, dumplings, wonton soup, singapore rice noodles, and so on. We ordered 4 different dinners and they were all horrible We asked for soft brocolli it was barely cooked asked for spicy garlic sauce it was extra sweet sweet n sour pork and fantail shrimp were so over cooked the they were hard the shrimp were over cooked so much that the breading cooked right off of half of them the pork was tough and chewy !! So disappointed I've had better from the buffets and the buffets are not anything to brag about .I don't ever leave a bad review but I just had to this time we spent 50.00 not worth a buck ! Found this dead fly in my rice underneath the first layer of rice. We have always loved China Garden and the only place we like to go. I never write reviews but a bit upset because the entire order was messed up, when my husband called and was placing simple orders, the man was yelling at him because he was confused. Then we came home to things missing, wrong orders and then this bug in my food to top it off. Pretty bummed about this being that we have ordered from here for many years. But more than likely will not be returning due to how rude he has been and now finding a bug in my food. read more

My first time ordering food from here and I ordered chicken and broccoli with white rice, the chicken had a weird sour taste to it. I'm assuming it was old. I also ordered sesame chicken and the chicken looked dehydrated like it was made the day before yesterday. Their egg rolls tasted like it had sauerkraut in it, I'm sure it didn't and tasted that way because it was old. read more

This place is great for vegetarians and the owners are so friendly. We usually get General Tso's Tofu, which is not on the menu, but they make it. Their spring rolls are vegetarian as well, and very delicious. The takeout is ready in 15 minutes, and you're good to go! The portions are huge, so be prepared for leftovers. read more

In my mind there are three types of Chinese food restaurants: dim sum places, authentic regional places, and places that serve chicken wings. China Garden is the third kind. I don't say that as a bad thing. It's not. It's just a category so you know what to expect. "Chicken wing" Chinese, China Garden included, distills Chinese food into its most unobjectionable and Americanized form. This is the kind of place where you order orange chicken or mei fun or fried rice and it's really very good. You've had it before and you'll probably have it again at countless other places. Still the quality here is good. The dumplings have a thick doughy skin and a spongy texture. The dipping sauce is yummy, sweet and vinegary. You cannot go wrong with the chicken and broccoli either. The broccoli was nicely cooked, with a crunch still left in it. The chicken was tender and coated in a silky brown sauce. Nothing new, but nothing objectionable either. I will certainly be coming back here, as I suspect it's the best Chinese food this slightly isolated lcorner of the earth offers. read more
