China Garden is a take out Chinese food place. They do have a few communal tables but I wouldn't consider it a place where you go to sit down and dine. Having said that, China Garden is a solid, consistent, dependable place to go to pick up tasty, fresh, generously portioned Chinese food!! The egg rolls always are piping hot and crispy, filled with cabbage and pork goodness. The Wonton soup is always warm and comforting. I am a noodle guy so other items I regularly order include Steamed Dumplings, Roast Pork Lo Mein. Both are wonderfully prepared and packed to the brim in their containers. Both the Chicken with Garlic Sauce and the Beef and Garlic Sauce pack a delicious garlicky heat and the meat is tender and delivers a hearty meal!!! Appetizer-wise, the crispy Fried Chicken Wings, the tangy Bar-B-Q Spare Ribs, and the sugary hot Fried Donuts have yet to disappoint!!! Depending where you live, good Chinese Take Out can be hard to find. I am quite grateful that China Garden is nearby and that they keep the bar of excellent take out nice and high!! read more

Grabbed some takeout hunan chicken on the way back from Kennett Square. It got the job done: fresh veggies, generous portion of meat, sauce was more sweet than spicy (usual for most places making Hunan chicken). Takeout counter was clean and server was polite enough. It was decent eats but I wouldn't go out of my way here. read more

This is a fairly basic chinese place. To be fair, we got take out food, which is never as good as eating in. The food is ok but nothing to rave about. We had spring rolls, egg rolls, sweet and sour chicken, kung pow chicken and tofu with vegetables. It was ok but I am in no rush to go back. read more

Good Chinese food is hard to come by in the Jennersville / West Grove area and I was pleasantly surprised by this find this mom & pop operation. The food was impeccable. We did a carry out order that was ready in about twenty minutes from the time we placed the order. We didn't call ahead however that wasn't a problem. It was a beautiful evening and we just stood out front in the breeze while waiting for the meal. Portions are large and I had a Beef and Broccoli with Veggie Fried Rice. Let me tell you when they say Pork Fried Rice they mean Pork Fried Rice. Not that yellow fried rice stuff you find in lots of Chinese places. The veggies were steamed to perfection and broccoli had a bright green color. It was just great all around. While predominately a carry out business there is a small dinning room. It can get a little cramped but that didn't seem to bother anyone there. The place was over half full when we arrived. I'm looking forward to going back soon. read more

Located in a small shopping center between Kennett and Longwood tthey overall provide fairly typically Chinese food. They were quick and efficient on phone orders and had it out the door in around ten minutes. The egg rolls with the dinner meals aren't the best and could likely be skipped on. The orange chicken is great and worth upgrading to the white meat. It came out to the desired spice level and contained fairly good flavors. The Kung Po chicken wasn't the best but still overall a decent option if looking at something slightly healthier. The Hot and Sour soup is a tasty option and even the small bowl is a lot of food for one person if you are getting an entree. Definitely could easily feed two if splitting portions. read more

China Garden is very respectable take out Chinese fare. It is also the best I've found in the Kennett Square area. Some of their dishes are Chinatown quality, such as their Lo Mein, Moo Shoo Beef and Singapore noodles. Other dishes are "typical" take out, such as their soups, dumplings. The service is impeccable, and the "10 minute" wait seems to be magically ready every single time, no matter how many items I've ordered. Fresh, consistent and reliable every time. Pretty solid takeout in my book. Everything seems to be prepared fresh and they are happy to cater to your individual taste.
