Since I enjoy seafood I had t try the 2 different versions of coconut shrip as well as he Sushi and frogs legs. Very nice establishment, all the food was fresh, the tomatoes tasted garden grown, the fruit was amazing, egg drop soup was average. Only thing which turned me off was the mold on the ceiling above the buffet. The property seems to be aware of it because they have lots of dehumidifiers running. read more

I like this place a lot but the last time I went there I had a headache, big time, don't know if it was because of anything I ate here. Went here today for the second time! We will definitely be back. This is not your typical Chinese buffet... the place is very clean, very well stocked with food and a great staff to keep things moving. I have to also comment that the sushi is a real draw for me; it's one of my favorite foods. The chef there does a great job. If you talk to him and let him know what you like, he's really generous and might make something specifically that you ask for. Very good quality and fresh ingredients as well. All this to also say you can eat there for a very reasonable charge per person making it an incredible value. If it were closer to home I would be in more often! Thank you! This establishment does NOT even deserve one star, but I had to choose it to proceed. I visited China House today and had one of the WORST experiences I've EVER had at ANY establishment. I actual visit this restaurant about twice per month. These Chinese people have NO REGARD and no care for treating customers with DIGNITY and RESPECT! Today, when my party asked to sit in a booth, the lady THREW the wrapped eating utensils on the table! I asked an employee for a new set of utensils because the waiter had taken mine with the dirty dishes; the guy grabbed the utensils and handed them to me by LOWERING HIS HAND (the one that had the utensils), turning his head in another direction, and started walking away as I grabbed for the utensils! They speak to you as if YOU'RE BOTHERING THEM when you've come to GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. Upon leaving the restaurant, I ask the cashier (who stood next to a Chinese woman who was on her phone) "why aren't you guys nice to customers?" He didn't answer me. I asked him at least 3 more times and he looked down and DELIBERATELY IGNORED my question!!!! I finally asked, "you don't answer questions?" He looked up at me, said "NO," then looked down again!!!! What type of behavior and customer service is THAT?!!!!!! However, when I asked for change for a $5 bill, he gladly opened his register. I tipped the sushi chef and Hibachi Grill chef. I will NEVER eat there again and I would advise everyone to SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE! read more

I'm pretty sure this place is owned by Koreans, but it's a great place nonetheless. They employ people of all races, which I find uncommon for Asian restaurants in the area. The buffet has an extensive selection -- there isn't much you won't be able to find. They've even got more American-classical food, like Pizza. They also have a Hibachi bar now, but I've never used it myself. Anyways, it's very cheap, and since it's a buffet, you can eat pretty much as much as you want. Very filling, and there's lots of desserts and fruits you can get, too. My wife, kids, and I have gone to China House intermittently during the past 6 years or so. Over the years, I believe their menu and taste has improved, and we are now regulars and probably dine there about once a week. The restaurant is quite large, variety is pretty good...perhaps a bit heavy on the fried dishes (which I like), but they also have a variety of vegetables, desserts, and kid-friendly foods such as pizza and chicken fingers. The wait staff is generally friendly. Not the best Chinese food I've had, but above average for Midwestern Chinese. We prefer the lunch menu over the dinner menu. Lunch is $18 for 2 adults and 1 kid (the 2 year-old is still free). read more

The food is pretty good. It's not the best, but it's a nice change of pace. The problem that I have with this restaurant is with their hygiene. I once witnessed a waitress using a feather duster to dust above the serving tables during dinner time. The dust was falling into the food. I mentioned my concern to the man at the register, but he denied that it happened. Another time, my son ordered a Mountain Dew. There was something swimming up and down the inside of the glass. I swear! I showed it to our waitress and she got him another drink. To this day, I won't order a cola because I can't see inside of the glass! I really like China House. It is Americanized Chinese but very good none the less. I prefer to go during lunch because it is more affordable and that's the only time they offer General Tso's Chicken. They offer everything from american food to sushi to crab legs. They have some good desserts too! read more

I have experienced every Chinese buffet within a 25 mile radius of my house and have to say this is in the top 3. China House has much higher quality food and it doesn't all taste like it was soaked in salty sea water. The general tsao chicken and garlic chicken are the best, but they have a very large selection to choose from and pay close attention to the food. The service is very friendly as well. This place is horrible!!! My sister and I went for lunch on Saturday. The food that was on the buffet was cold and tasteless. Not everything on the buffet was labeled, and I have a problem eating "mystery meat". The only redeeming quality was the hibachi grill, but the choices there are limited. It's either pork or dark meat chicken for the meat and onions, peppers, and bean sprouts for the vegetables. I was waiting for the hostess to ask how everything was when we checked out, but she never did. She's probably sick of hearing people complain. read more

It started off with a dirty glass of soda and went downhill from there. I had to go find the server to tell her I needed a clean glass and fresh soda because it was dirty. When she got to the table (I was not there) she argued with my son and said it was the soda bubbles. Finally, she brought a clean glass of soda. The food on the buffet was barely warm and tasteless. Everything seems over cooked or under cooked. When I complained to the management about the server and the dirty glass, I was told they didn't believe me I was just trying to get a free meal. Then he tried to hold my credit card and not give it back while he went to discuss the situation with the server. I will NOT be going back. Bad food, dirty, poor service. I should not have been charged for this meal - neither one of us finished our food it was so bad. I know I won't get a refund, but I also won't be going back. My advice: spend your hard earned money elsewhere, I know I will. read more
