    Orange chicken
    Molly M.

The food was mediocre at best. Served on red school style plates with one single fork wrapped in a great value paper towel. The portions are large, I will give it that, but it felt like my chicken was literally just fried bits. The service was very slow and we had tk get up twice. Once to order then to pay. It looks musty and falling apart on the inside. All in all, I don't think I will be returning.

    My dinner after ordering takeout

Literally this place is so good. They give you a whole bunch of food in every order and their egg drop soup is genuinely the best. Their food is never lacking in flavor and they always conduct business in a professional and kind way. Great atmosphere and very quick service. They also are very accommodating for allergies

This is supposed to be orange chicken. The food is cooked so long the meat is gone. And I get yelled at by a little girl for this!

I have never. Ever. Ever. In my life had a owner of a restaurants pubescent teen daughter yell at me for at least an hour. Yes you heard that right. When would that ever happen? Here. Tonight. I worked at my job for 13 hours to come out of my office to finally sit down with my family to eat a meal; that my wife purchased from this horrible place. The food was not good at all. The chicken was more like popcorn chicken rolled in sauce. My kids were spitting out the food. The broccoli was bad. The egg rolls were weird. The chicken was so over cooked that you couldn't eat it you had to just swallow it like cereal. The rice had a yellow hue that was oddly disturbing. I've had really good orange chicken before. This was a joke. Ok. No problem. Call them up and tell them the food is not edible, right? Wrong! The daughter tells me that that's how they cook it. They "roll"it in powder. Huh? Then she, after about 20 minutes of arguing tells me to bring all the food back all$120 of it and they would refund the money. Right? Wrong. She calls me on the phone asks me how long before I get there. I say one minute. Then she says. "What about our hard workers?" Huh? Ummm did I just here this kid. I said listen I'm not going to argue with you We're here. She continues trying to argue while I'm in the parking lot. I had to hang up on her. We walk in to return the food and get reimbursed right? Wrong! 3 adults and one teenager staring me and my wife down. More arguing and yelling from a young kid. I'm 44. Why is a young kid that is translating for them yelling at me? You tell me; I'll wait. " No one has ever returned food!" "What about the workers? I said listen I'm not going to let a teenager yell at me. Then they all just looked at me like they didn't understand. Is a teenager really running this restaurant, not returning my money, and yelling at me? I told her If the food is good then why would I bring it back? Then the teenage "owner" says "you don't care about our workers and their hard work!" Huh? Then she says "we'll give you money minus the rice and egg rolls." I'm bartering with a child. Then they still were deciding weither to fork over the money. More arguing and yelling. 5 adults in the room and one screaming child. I work in fire insurance claims I don't steal food that is edible. I tell them this and wait for it to be translated. Then they say."everyone love food!" I'm like didn't you tell me if I drove here and brought the food you would return the money? "What about our workers?" Oh God here we go again. Long story short after more arguing the credit card machine now is shut down due to the late time. They didn't know how to write a receipt. (Thank God my wife's a paralegal) she had to in English. Then we finally got them to sign it; under great debate. Of course this included the yelling teenager's confused approval. After that the young "whipper snapper" says don't come back. Really? We haven't got our money back yet. And now you have the food. Listen don't go here. Please don't. When they say hole in the wall, when it comes to this place they really mean hole in the ground. Hungary for Chinese food? Eat a cracker. Want normal service? Not here. You will get yelled at. Sorry ahead of time. Yelled at over inedible Food....

I can only talk about the one item I had and that was Mongolian Beef. It was so good that that's the only thing I order now.

Nothing online is updated. Prices have gone really high, but still the same quality. But convenient.

I went to the Broadway Buffet on Feb. 14, 2024 to eat my Birthday Dinner!!! I arrived late, and…read morethe owner was very gracious and kind. He offered to cook me a Take Home Order. When I asked if I could go ahead and eat there, he told me to go look at the buffet. I did and saw good bit of food, so I grabbed a couple of plates. I got some of the Coconut Shrimp, and it was wonderful!!! I also got some of the Teriyaki or maybe BBQ Chicken on a stick. It was delicious so, I grabbed a couple more sticks!! I also got a nice size helping of Fried Rice, and the last helping of Broccoli Chicken!!! One of the ladies asked if I wanted more Broccoli Chicken, and I said, Yes, but the cook probably wouldn't want to cook more. She went and got the owner who ordered me some more. I had plenty of food, and every bit of it was delicious!!! They brought my order to my table, and it was a huge plate of Broccoli Chicken, freshly made!!! I asked the lady if I was going to have to pay extra for it, and she said, NO! By the time, they brought out my Broccoli Chicken, I was almost full!!! I finished most of what was on my plate. The owner came to check on me, and asked me if I wanted a To Go Box for my Broccoli Chicken. I said, Yes, Please and when he brought it, I asked if I could put some Fried Rice in my container and he said, Yes!!! I was so tickled!!! I had eaten everything except one of my Chicken Sticks (which I put in my box.) My box was so full that I didn't have room for the 2 Egg Rolls / Spring Rolls, so I wrapped them up, and asked the owner if that was okay. He said, Yes! I told him when I checked out that everything was really good!!! I thanked him for allowing to go ahead and eat even tho I arrived late! And then I told him that it was my birthday, and he wished me a Happy Birthday! The Buffet cost me $13.00 even, and my box of Broccoli Chicken was included!!! Everyone was really nice and the food was excellent!!! I had NOT eaten here much in the last couple of years, because my Chinese Food eating buddy died in a car wreck back in 2022. So, I don't make it over to Sulphur Springs much these days!!! I am so glad that I drove over to eat on my birthday this year!!! And I'll definitely be back more often!!!

I've been holding this in for weeks, but I can't shake off how disturbed I felt after what I…read morewitnessed during a mid-afternoon buffet at Broadway Buffet in Sulphur Springs. That day, my wife wasn't in the mood to eat there, but she accompanied me anyway and had a hot tea while I enjoyed my meal. One thing about me when I go to a buffet--I like to get everything I want in one go, so I don't have to keep getting up. I typically have four to five plates in front of me to avoid interruptions. While getting some egg drop soup, I noticed an elderly woman across from me at the buffet. She was getting wonton soup, and since we were directly opposite each other, I greeted her politely with a "Hi, ma'am" as a sign of respect. She smiled and nodded in return. As I moved to get some steamed fish fillet, I paused because she was also serving herself. What caught my attention was how she used the wrong serving spoon, and instead of taking a small portion, she pinched off pieces of the largest fillet and dropped them into her wonton soup. I found it odd, but it wasn't my business, so I brushed it off. However, what happened next completely ruined my appetite. She reached for a piece of breaded shrimp, dipped it directly into the entire pot of sweet and sour sauce, took a bite, and then--without hesitation--dipped the same shrimp back into the sauce. To make it worse, she walked away, leaving sauce dripping everywhere. I was so disgusted that I immediately informed the owner. She acted promptly, removing the pot of sweet and sour sauce and apologizing. I paid for my meal and left, completely put off by what I had seen. To make matters worse, I later noticed the same woman picking her nose while eating. The entire experience was unsettling. I sincerely wish the restaurant would have someone stationed at the buffet to monitor such behavior. People who are that unhygienic should be removed from the establishment. Let me be clear--I'm not here to badmouth Broadway Buffet. I actually enjoy their food (though, in my opinion, China King is better), and I appreciate having a Chinese buffet nearby without having to drive far. However, this experience left a lasting impression, and I felt compelled to share it with others who dine there.
