Very bland Chinese food just taste like reheated freeze dried Chinese food like the stuff you get from the refrigerator out at the grocery store. Nothing else fun about it. Really wish Anna had better Chinese food. We got the wonton soup which was not seasoned at all. I mean, had a good amount of green onion, but the dumplings were anything to rave about and the soup wasn't salty enough or flavorful enough. I ended up having to dump three packets of soy sauce to get it to taste like anything they're lo mein noodles aren't really lo mein noodles. They just look like the typical noodles you get out of grocery store nothing super special about that and then it's got a bunch of interesting flavors to it. Their sesame chicken breading Uber soft sauce is half decent. If you had a bunch of soy sauce still not very flavorful fried rice doesn't have egg vegetables nothing in it so once again very bland if you're looking for a bland restaurant, this is your go to. read more

Bad location right next to a massage parlor and truck stop. It's a squeeze to get in the parking lot. It's a long wait even for rice nothing is ready made or in display. Prices are not so great. I decided not to wait and left. Had a hard time getting out of that tight parking lot and you have to find your way out through the back. read more

This was a lucky find. This place would have gotten 4 1/2 but that's not an option. The service was amazing, the food was brought to the table. The manager was kind and checked on us. The food came out hot and fresh. The order size was generous. The food was not salty and was delicious. We were served on dinner plates :) My shrimp in my veg fried rice was plentiful and without any type of gritty taste. Sean had the chow mein and was happy that he got half shrimp and half chicken without any issues. Sean and I both ate for 18 dollars with drinks. We both left stuffed. It helps immensely to be the "only game in town." We have ordered dinner from here about a dozen times, since moving to Melissa. Only once was it good, and it was very good. Have recently ordered twice more since then. Our last was literally our last. I could not even cut my sweet and sour pork with a real knife. The batter was so hard and ridiculously tough; unchewable. The slight piece of pork within the ball of rubber was absurd. The won ton soup had absolutely no flavor and the potstickers tasted "weird," according to my husband. He did not eat them or his Hunan chicken. Dinner went in the garbage. Prefer to spend money on a little more gas than risk Rice Express again. read more

I don't usually write reviews of less than four stars. I have to make an exception here. I certainly have different expectations for a quick take out place than I do for a full cloth-napkin restaurant, but there's a limit to the corners that one can cut. Today I had the Tso's Chicken, which was okay, but rather unremarkable. The problem was the "fried rice". It wasn't fried rice at all, just your regular white rice with a little soy sauce. Whereas I have seen Chinese chefs nearly come to blows over the exact amount of peas to use, and whether water chestnuts belong at all, this fried rice had nothing but rice, and the aforementioned soy sauce to give it a color to pass as fried. I found it insulting, and that's why I found it worthy of a review. I've been looking for good Chinese food in Collin County for some time. I'm still looking. I will not be back. read more

I'll say I was skeptical about this place but it's really good. Think my favorite things so far are the chicken eggroll and sweet and sour chicken. Best thing about them is they do not skimp and they get your order right every time. Plus the prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. The drive through is fast. Didn't even get to eat since the girl who was supposed to take the order had a bad attitude, and would rather be "right" than make money. She argued about the time of closing when they have failed to update their closing time. Would not recommend at all. Save your money for something better with nicer staff. read more

Had a quick lunch here today. I was not all that impressed with the over all quality of the food. Tons of rice on the platted compared to the actual entree. They were very stingy with the amount of hot n' sour soup, cup half full situation. Restroom was a little messy but clean. The door goin into the mens restroom only opened about a foot due to a design flaw. Its fast cheap Chinese food in small town Anna Texas. Meh... read more

I went to Rice-Express today looking for some good food and got want I was needing. I got this humongous plate of Chicken Fried Rice and a Egg Roll and it filled me up so much, I had to use their biggest take out box because there was so much. The service there was amazing and I wished that everyone was as kind as they were. The restaurant did not look like much at first but once you entered, the restaurant's ambiance just left me with shock because it was so well done. I will return there very soon. read more

She had the Shrimp Fried Rice (E1) and I decided to give General Tso's Chicken (E14) a shot. Both dishes included loads of fried rice. I wish there was less than one star I have lived in this area far before it was developed and was a loyal customer since this establishment opened. The food was never terrific but it was never terrible so supporting our local businesses was important especially following Covid. They have delivered to our home on several occasions and today I called and was told I was .06 miles too far to be delivered too. Seriously???? I called back thinking I must be dealing with an associate but was told by the manager that's policy, period. I assure you I will not, nor will I recommend this restaurant to anyone.
