So lucky to have China House in Flanders! My family loves this place for many reasons - delicious food, reasonable prices, friendly staff, and great owners!! They have a wide variety of menu items that range from appetizers, meals, vegetarian, and lunch specials. My personal favorite here is the fried chicken wings appetizers which are great as a meal and the wonton soup. The chicken wings are flavored nicely and crispy! The wonton soup comes with no shortage of wontons. Honestly, best wonton soup I've ever had! Love the deep flavor and texture of the wontons. The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Chen are the sweetest couple ever! They never rush you and are always so pleasant to talk to. I used to love this place, it was my go to place, but as noted before me, it had recently changed hands. The food is now terrible and could be the worst I've had. Chix lo mien had a weird texture and was just salty, egg rolls were doughy and soft, and Szechwan Chicken was 1/2 onions and sauce was just salty. Terrible bland food... my boneless spare ribs was 90% fat & the fried rice had NO flavor. It was my first encounter here & will be my last

We moved into Chester Township in August and searched around for a good chinese food place. And boy did we find one...After trying out a few other local places, we decided to stick with China House. They are the best in the area! Fast, friendly, economical, and the food is always "on point". Searching hard now for a drawback...they don't deliver. Wish they did, but worth the drive. I really liked the lady at the front. She was so nice and accommodating. That means a lot. However, I wasn't completely thrilled with the food. The Egg Drop Soup was extremely yellow/orange and tasted like straight egg yolk. My General Tso's Chicken was a little too caramelized for my taste, but it was OK. The fried rice and egg roll were good. And my son's Crab Rangoon's were good too...big portions. Thanks, for the great service. read more

I have been a customer in excess of 20 years.I know the son,his wife and his parents.There are new owners;(Bee the son) and his wife,were desirous of a new business venture and Mom and dad were anxious to retire.There is a very old saying,:if it is not broken,do not fix it" One of the offerings, the new owners have changed (and I know exactly what they did),in order to glean a few more cents,is their recipe for dumpling soup;which now tastes like dishwater.(they diluted the heck out of the stock).It is HORRIBLE.It is the worst excuse for soup,that I have ever ingested.I have been reluctant,to try anything else...Such a shame.Fortunately,I found the Asian diner.... read more

Best Chinese food around. I live in hoboken and none of the Chinese food here can come close to China House. The staff is very friendly which is very rare for these types of places. One star is too many! We have been customers for well over 10 years. The food has changed within the last year. Chicken is tough more times than not. More vegetables and fillers than meat! The prices went up and quantities went down. Over priced chinese food for no quality or value! Ignorant reply to my complaint. How insulting to believe we wouldn't care that you were taking advantage of us all! Shame on you, what goes around comes around. In my quest for good Chinese food in the area, I've found my place. It's in a strip mall with plenty of parking and there isn't much room inside to dine, but that means nothing to me, I get Chinese for take out. I ordered egg drop soup, cold noodles with sesame sauce and chicken and broccoli. I was told ten minutes for pick up. My only complaint in the meal was the egg drop soup. It didn't have much taste. The cold sesame noodles were perfect, with a nice peanut butter flavor, which is exactly what I want in cold sesame noodles. Be sure to shake the container to incorporate the ingredients. The chicken and broccoli was also delicious, the right amount of sauce and the broccoli was cut perfectly. I didn't find the meal to be overly salty which can be a problem with Chinese food. The total of the meal was $17.60, which is right on par with other Chinese restaurants in the area. Will be back when my Chinese craving hits! read more

This is the best Asian food place in the area. Not only is the food excellent (cooked well, never to greasy, and always willing to accommodate everyone) but the service is incredible. The staff always greets me, remembers who I am, and is very friendly. Normally I would always choose a place that delivers however, now I won't go anywhere else. read more

China House has changed owners and unfortunately, are not living up to the high mark that they had previously earned. Their soups are salty and the quality of the cooking is not up to the standards that have been set. I'm hoping this is a glitch and they are able to climb back to the top. read more

I got very sick after Eating here the rice had mold from sitting over night the oil in the Fryer never changed, the workers don't wash there hands at all you can sit there for an hour touching money and then touching food just sickening! Don't Eat here!! read more
