Best pork fried dumplings I've had in years. I've ordered a few times now from Wok's and I'm happy to say we have found our go to Chinese restaurant in Towaco area. Very consistent with quality and taste. Nothings overly salty Place seems clean and friendly owners. We get the same stuff. Dumplings are always filled and browned nicely, general tsos chicken is tender with a little spice, pork lo mein, pork fried rice, boneless spare ribs and sweet sour chicken, great crunch to it. In three sentences: My order was placed over the phone and everything was on time within 15 minutes of pick up. Inside they do have hand sanitizers but the place just feels pretty dirty, I wish they hired a cleaning service or did a little of remodeling. Lastly, the food was good not great but was good. Food has been declining every time I order there but I had a take out order. Of almost 40 dollars. After getting home and opening the food looked horrible and couldn't be eaten. No taste, dry, and no chicken all breaded. Called and spoke to the manager seemed that all she was interested in was for me to bring back the food so that the chef could see it. She did not offer me a credit or to remake the food nor to have the food delivered to me. I did not bring back the food because I was tired from working all day. A week later stopped in the restaurant and spoke to I believe the owner/cook and he recalled the situation and offered to make me new dinners. I wasn't there for a remake of dinners. This is by far the best chinese takeout in this neighborhood. Food is fresh and tasty, delivery is prompt and our orders have all been correct. LOVE their shrimp dishes... the shrimp are delicious, plentiful and cooked really nicely (light corn starch on outside seals them in and somehow keeps them from overcooking during delivery). Shrimp with broccoli, Kung Po Shrimp... these are 5 stars. Chow fun is good, egg rolls are good-not-great, and roast pork dishes are nice. Also their fried chicken is great and a ridiculous bargain. Honestly, it's mostly more like 4 star food, but there are so many fake 1-star reviews on this place, that they really deserve a boost. We only discovered this place recently after living here for 12 years, and it's largely because of the plethora of silly 1-star reviews that are 5 words long from people with only one review - clearly competitors trying to hurt their reputation. Your classic chinese food joint, a window-filled storefront in a strip mall with a few tables past the entrance and a counter. The food itself is good; fresh tasting, not too greasy, too bland, mushy, or anything like that. Five stars for the best Lo Mein that I have had from a chinese take out. We randomly stopped in Boonton while traveling to get gas and had a craving for fast Chinese food. We got our usual order that we try everywhere, Sesame Chicken and Vegetable Lo Mein. The Sesame Chicken is spot on. It's crunchy and the sauce is a good consistency - not too thick or watery. The taste is just right - not overly sweet. The Lo Mein has the perfect texture - it's al dente. And as always, when it comes to Chinese takeout food, I always think the food is better when you pick it up than getting it delivered. read more

First time here and last time here. This was a mistake. I ordered from the lunch menu the sesame chicken with an eggroll on the side, served with pork fried rice. The rice was not burnt but it tasted of burnt. The chicken as well. I can only assume they were using a pan or wok and something burned in it and they did not clean it out after the burn. In addition to the slight burnt change to it, the chicken was really not very flavorful and I had the sense that it had been cooked twice. Normally I would be happy to say the portion was quite large, but who wants large if bad? The egg roll was sub par. Thank goodness for duck sauce. Bad customer service. I specifically ask for extra sauce on takeout order and when order came got nothing extra... also failed to bring the dumpling sauce that should have come with the dumpling order... called back and they brought me the sauce but made me pay a buck extra... laughable - which I paid but geez what happened to the customer experience ? 2nd driver said you should just come in and get what you want... so much for the 20% tip i gave the 1st driver...really? are sauce PACKETS really that expensive ! I live 5 minutes away from this restaurant, and delivery took over an hour on a Thursday night. The delivery person was unfriendly and didn't come up to our door. The food was ok. My order consisted of sesame chicken (sweeter than we're used to) with brown rice (they gave us white instead), egg fu young (very greasy), and sautéed broccoli (too salty to eat). We have been ordering from Wok's for 2 years now faithfully, at least once every week. Many times they forgot the sauce for the dumplings but hey, who doesn't like dry dumplings right ? For the grand finale, the last time, and I do mean the LAST, they decided to send something totally different than what was ordered.
