I eat here at least twice a month, favorite chinese place. everyone is always very nice and friendly and great food!

I ordered spring rolls, General Tsao's chicken and asked for it to be spicy, and sesame chicken. I don't recommend the spring rolls because they were small deep fried egg rolls with very little filling of shredded carrot and cabbage. This was not on their menu, but the cashier said they can make them. Both entrees used marinated chicken with a fairly crisp slightly thick batter, but had identical sauces except one was spicy and the other had a few sesame seeds on it. I was disappointed that the General Tsao's chicken came with only 3 pieces of broccoli, although they were tender crisp. Ordered sesame chicken, so tough that it was not edible. Other times, great but seemed to have changed.

I've lived here for about 3 1/2 years, and got takeout several times from this place. Over the last year, they've started breading everything, and the quality of food has taken a downturn. I really hope that it gets better, so I could start going again. read more

I have been going there at least 10 yrs. Use to be awesome. Had a stroke so didnt go awhile. Tried today, aweful aweful. Odered Honey nut shrimp and got 2 pieces of brocholi, Shrimp was reheated in dirty oil (deepfried) white sauce was brown and no taste at all think refried also. Ordered house rice and got some pan fried something. Made to look like a fried pancake with 3 sauces. Flat no taste and I think refried in pan oil. Never never again use to be a treat for me was bragging to friend about place. Never do that again. Could not understand person on phone between 2 of us here. I am visiting Isanti overnight for a meeting with a customer. It's a fairly small town with a very limited selection of restaurants. I decided to give China House a try. I walked from my hotel to the restaurant, and wasn't terribly impressed with the exterior appearance nor the limited interior volume. I wasn't sure if I had made the right choice, since the sidewalk immediately outside the entrance was removed and in its place was dirt with a rubber mat. I ordered the general Tso's chicken with white rice to go. I was told it would be about 15 minutes. Perfect, since I had been in a car for 4.5 hours and wanted to walk around town a bit. I walked down the road several blocks, turned around and came back. When I arrived back at the restaurant, my order was ready. I carried it back to my hotel room. In spite of the disheartening appearance of the restaurant, the food was excellent. It beat my expectations by a wide margin. The chicken was cooked perfectly, not overdone and the batter had a nice crispness to it. The broccoli was also top notch, not all slimy and rubbery from being over cooked like many restaurants offer. The chicken meat was dark meat with good flavor, and was free of hard bits of gristle or other unfavorable characteristics. If I visit Isanti again, I will order from China House again. read more

Been going here for the past several months and the food has always been good and consistent Normally get the same order of chicken fried rice and Szechuan shrimp and chicken so I can comment on other meals but would assume they're good as well read more

usually this place is my absolute fave. I come here constantly and get the same order but recently I've came here with my boyfriend and the gentleman told us itd be a 10 minute wait which is fine because that's what we usually expect until it took 30 minutes to get our food while 8 different cars stopped in and ordered at the counter and they all got there food while we where ignored read more

Excellent service and excellent food. Food is always hot and fresh. Service is always excellent no matter what time of day I have been there. They take the precautions for Covid seriously which makes the take- out experience better than waiting in line at a drive-through fast food joint! Our family continues to love China House. They have worked so hard to continue serving delicious food to the community during a pandemic. It can get really busy and backed up in the lobby due to trying to follow guidelines. If you are ordering during dinner time, be prepared to wait up to 45 minutes. I suggest ordering ahead and know it will take 30+ minutes during peak dinner time hours (4:30-6:30). They are working super hard and doing their best to get meals out fast and orders right. That has improved since my last review. Please be kind and patient. The food has always been worth the wait for our family. Dumplings are delicious and so is the crab Rangoon. Everything we've tried on the menu we have loved. Especially the chicken/shrimp/ or beef and broccoli. Shrimp curry is awesome and so is the Kung Pao chicken. Enjoy!!! read more

Tried it two more times since and the food has been much better! Food is more fresh and steaming hot. I highly recommend the house fried rice, veggie Lo Mein, crab rangoons, orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken. Delicious. read more

Ugh- while I hate to write this review, I feel I must! I ordered my family a ton of food this last week. Everything was pretty tasty with the exception of my walnut shrimp... it was a bad bad decision. I ate a few bites and chucked it because it seemed under cooked- like the breading was Chalky?! I cut into one of the pieces, before I threw it is the garbage, only to find the shrimp inside the breading was half blue still. I was violently ill for the rest of the night- no joke. While I am sure they were busy and I would like to extend patience and understanding- uncooked seafood is a bad plan. I hope they improve but I will not be taking the chance by eating their food again. read more

Don't order any dish with beef. I ordered the beef and broccoli and the beef was so tough to chew. The broccolis were big with long stem. Also order the house fried rice and house Lo mein. Pretty decent. Fried rice didn't have that much flavor. read more

Best Authentic Chinese restaurant. Owners are from Chinatown NYC. Food portions are great. Lunch and dinner specials are nicely price and you get a lot in servings. You can see them make your phone right after you order. So always fresh food. I would highly recommend. PS... reasonable prices for trays of food. We tried take out on the recommendation of friends. Loved it. A little hidden gem for good Chinese food in our small town. Fried cheese sticks and cream cheese wontons were the stars of the show. The rest was very good too - curry noodles, general tso chicken; lo mein. It was packaged so well for takeout too!! No spills on the way home and it was still hot when I unpackaged at home. they even gave us free Chinese donuts (looooved them, thank you!). The white rice was sticky which we love. We don't eat Chinese often but this local place will be out go-to now. read more

The staff at China House are so sweet and kind! They always over stuff the containers...you really get a lot for your money. The orange chicken is so yummy, as are the egg rolls and chicken fried rice. We like the teriyaki chicken skewers as well. Much better Chinese food than the old roach infested Mandarin Q in Cambridge!! read more

Very expensive. The chow Mein doesn't look or taste like chow Mein. and they use dark chewy chicken in the sesame chicken. The best part of the food was the fortune cookie. Would not recommend this place. read more
