Food is always hot and fresh and price for 2 is around 24 to 26 bucks for lunch buffet so its really reasonable. The people are kind and immediately stop what they are doing to greet you and seat you. One of the best chinest restaurants I've ever gone to. One of my favorites. The food was delicious and fresh. The waitress was very helpful and courteous. The crab cheese puffs were very creamy and tasty. The Buffett had many tasty options including two soups Hot and Sour and Egg Drop soup. She even had desserts. I was full so didn't have room for any. Ambiance was quite and pleasant. The New China Buffet, like many restaurants in Princeton's business district, has been around for a little while now, and one of the main reasons that I looked forward to finally getting my driver's license as a teen. There is a good variety of dishes to choose from and the food is typically hot and fresh, being replaced somewhat regularly. The problem with this, however, is that the small size of the buffet counter means that not all the dishes can be displayed at once, meaning some foods that may be there one day, may not be there the next. It isn't a huge deal, since there are plenty of other delicious choices to keep you occupied, but a larger food line would give more consistent choices. The cream cheese wantons are fantastic. I find myself, along with my siblings, almost filling my entire plate with them alone. Dip them in sweet and sour sauce or eat them plain, they are sure to satisfy. The price is fairly reasonable for a buffet. I can go with my brother and sister and still pay just over twenty bucks for the three of us. This included drink and all you can eat at the buffet. The staff are pretty friendly, albeit their English isn't perfect. The nice thing is that you mainly see the same employees everyday, so there's some familiarity with your servers. The seating wraps around the buffet table with booths, other than one long table in the center of the room. Fun fact: there used to be a basement staircase where that table now sits, but has since been covered up with new floor. I've always been curious what was down there or why it isn't used anymore. Overall, the New China Buffet is a location my family and I frequent on a monthly basis. I've had a few birthday dinners take place here and I tend to see or meet up with my peers here now and again. I highly recommend stopping in if you're feeling rather hungry. It is sure to satisfy. read more

I have been enjoying New China Chinese for many years. I can easily say this is my favorite Chinese restaurant. The buffet is always hot and fresh. The building is old but always clean. I highly recommend their black pepper chicken and coconut shrimp. Cream cheese wontons are the best I've had anywhere. I know they are made fresh in the restaurant as I have seen them making them. Take out is always speedy and they have free items if you spend a certain amount. Service is great as well. read more

If you're headed up north and don't want to stop at China Dragon in Elk River, you can't go wrong with New China in Princeton. It's located in the Princeton business district and has been around before my time. I've been here many times and always left satisfied. The food is really good, specially if you catch the busy times when the buffet is fresh. The interior is outdated but the food makes up for it. read more

We have been here several times, never had any issues. The staff is always friendly, the food is great, and it is affordable. Some nights you may have to wait for a table, that must be a sign of how well liked this restaurant is in the community. The vegetables in the dishes are always cooked perfectly, not overdone like in other buffets. They also have great, fresh Chinese donuts that make for a perfect dessert. Yum! read more

the only good thing about this place is the staff.there very attentive,nice and happy.with that said the buffet is SMALL i think theres 15 choices including like 3 soups.also its not very fresh sometimes its downright horrible.they also are not very good at keeping it stocked.the actual buffet table is only maybe 6ft long.and its about 1.5 ft away from the booths (a very small reasturant and cramped spaces).its also pretty expensive for such a small buffet.parking is terrible,but thats Princeton for ya.i wont eat here again. read more
