Met exactly the expectations I had. Classic takeout place, stick with the more traditional takeout dishes. The fried rice had a slightly wierd taste. We have been going to this place for years as it was the best in town. Good quality, ample amount of main dinner and reasonable price. I picked up beef with broccoli and egg foo young combo the other day and I was horribly disappointed. Not only did the food have no flavor, but there was also hardly any entree in the bowl just 3/4 filled with supposed pork fried rice with a tablespoon of pork in it and 6 pieces of broccoli and 6 pieces of beef. The egg foo young had no flavor and no pork in it again (possibly a few tablespoons in the omelets) and 3/4 filled with supposed "pork " fried rice. I also ordered a shrimp roll- 1 shrimp in it ( it was the width of a bic lighter and the length of it as well) and a meat roll with no meat (again the size of a bic lighter). I don't know if this place changed hands, but I would stay away. I know we will not be going to their restaurant anymore and are looking for a good chinese restaurant in the Lebanon, NJ area read more

Coming from California I have been disappointed by some Chinese restaurants in NJ with the food often being very greasy. The discovery of China III was refreshing. I really enjoyed the fried potstickers. The other entrees were also very good. The veggies in the entrees were crisp and not over cooked. The shrimp was also good and my daughter loved the orange chicken. The staff were friendly when I picked up the food. Best Chinese I have had in Hunterdon County. The steamed dumplings are cooked perfectly and they have flavor. House special lo mein is awesome. You get ton of shrimp, pork, and chicken in every bite. A good test of a place is their General Tso chicken and this place comes the closer to the restaurants in NYC such as woo hop and Sammie's noodle house. The wonton egg drop soup is so good. Honestly everything we had here has been great. No complaints. We have eaten here multiple time and they have the same consistency. Although they are located only 10 minutes from our house, they continue to take well over an hour to deliver our food. Too bad the food is good. The woman answering the phone argued with me about the spelling of our address, and refusing to change it in the computer. She puts me on hold when I call to ask where our food is. This is the first time I've gone to China III. I live in the area, but normally this is not convenient. This is a typical strip mall Chinese restaurant. I found the food to be all good. Much better than where I normally go. The hot and sour soup was good with plenty of ingredients. The egg foo young was also good with a nice brown sauce. It's also wonderful to have a quick delivery place in the Lebanon/Clinton area since Lo Fatt Chow changed ownership and went rocketing downhill. We've had both Dinner and Lunch delivered. Both were of equal quality although dinner took less time to reach us. Delivery is a $20 minimum, service is really friendly, and food is always delivered hot! Definitely try the Shrimp With Eggplant and the Egg Drop Soup. The skin wrappers on the pork wontons in the Wonton Soup were a little too thick but the fried rice with pork is delicious and not super greasy. Reasonably priced and low delivery charges make this our new family go-to for that Chinese food craving monster. read more

This is easily the best Chinese food in the area ever since the demise of Lo Fatt Chow down route 31. Atmosphere is standard strip mall Chinese place, as are the prices. The couple that own this place are super friendly. Where it shines though is the food has great flavor, doesn't lean on MSG, and is extremely consistent. There's some other pretty decent Chinese places in this region but even the best of those have been hit and miss. I've never had a bad meal here. Strong stuff they get right that I order a lot? This place used to be average, not great Chinese food, but what you'd expect from a strip mall Chinese joint. Lately, it's been slipping and, and after tonite's order, I am in fear of becoming sick. When I opened my (yuk, plastic) container of chicken and broccoli with white sauce, I caught a whiff of fish, and when I tasted the broccoli, I had to spit it out immediately because it left an intense metallic taste in my mouth. When I called China III, they graciously offered to replace my meal, and I opted for spicy garlic pork rather than try my luck again with the chicken and broccoli. The spicy pork in garlic sauce, which I've had and liked there before, was NOT spicy, but covered in a thick and cloyingly sweet sauce, the pork was cut in odd thick slices, and the broccoli in the dish had the same metallic taste. The Butterfly shrimp with bacon was fantastic, and so was the pork egg foo yung, The sauce for the Egg Foo Yung was real brown sauce, and not the instant gravy everyone else in the area uses.
