Just ordered over 100 dollars worth of food from this place, and not only did they royally mess up our order, it wasn't even good. We are missing over 40 dollars worth of food and looks to be replaced with disgusting choices. Or they completely gave us a different order. Either way, the food is horrible. Cheap cream cheese in the wontons, fried rice is somehow flavorless, the weird pork thing they sent us was sour. And the orange and sesame chicken were both disgusting. This place owes us 100 dollars. DO NOT EAT HERE! Not good. read more

I rarely leave reviews this harsh, but China Ink earned it. From the moment we walked in, the place felt cold, empty, and unwelcoming--physically and atmospherically. No staff in sight, no warmth, no sense that anyone cared. In hindsight, that should have been our cue to turn around and leave. We ordered a few appetizers--Tempura Shrimp, BBQ Ribs, and Chicken Sticks--plus an Egg Fu Young entrée. To be fair, the shrimp was actually good. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The ribs and chicken sticks were inedible: cold, dry, tough, and clearly not fresh. When I asked how long ago they were made, the answer was shocking--two weeks for the ribs and one week for the chicken sticks. That alone should tell you everything. The Egg Fu Young was even worse. It arrived with a sour smell, as did the rice it came with--rice that was somehow both preheated and still cold and hard. The sauce was dark, unappetizing, and did nothing to salvage the dish. After questioning why we were being served food that was clearly old and possibly spoiled, the response was little more than a nod... followed by taking our $52. We left disappointed, frustrated, and honestly concerned. This wasn't just bad food--it felt unsafe. I strongly suggest a health inspection is in order. If you're even considering eating here, do yourself a favor: think twice... or better yet, don't go at all. read more

Live in QC, and typically go to Golden Harvest when we want good Chinese take out. They're on vacation, so saw this place, it had good ratings, so decided to give it a try. I noted two separate places when ordering asking that the spicy garlic chicken have light sauce. When I picked up the order and got home, it was drowning in thick sauce. I promptly called the restaurant to advise, and the guy at the front immediately states that they saw the note, and that I was given light sauce for it. Ok, I seriously doubt that the guy manning the front register saw my dish when it was packaged. He says if I want "extra light sauce", bring it back and they'll re-make it for me. Some guys apparently just cant admit when they are wrong. I drove all the way back to San tan Valley, and as soon as I walked in, the guy again said that I was given light sauce. I disagreed, and showed him, but again, he wouldn't accept responsibility for the restaurant ignoring my original request. They re-make the entrée, and he shows me before I leave. I reply "yes, that is light sauce". He says "for us, that's no sauce". Haha...what a jerk. Not only does this place have a hard time owning up when they're wrong, but all 3 entrees my fam ordered were covered in this slimey/gunk that I guess they refer to as their "sauce". As a Bay Area Native who owned and operated a Bar and Grill in the heart of China town OAK, I know world renowned cuisine. We retired and moved closer to family in AZ, I have to say, not only is this food disgusting it's what I consider an embarrassment to the Chinese culture and the traditional Chinese cuisine! I picked up an order for a DD customer (because I like to make money on my down time!) and I wasn't surprised to hear the chef in the back hawking up loogies! This restaurant is a disgrace, it smells bad, sounds bad, and tastes bad! I'm actually shocked they're still open! To China ink, shame on YOU! Your restaurant is an insult to your people! Very disappointing. Better off to go to China Chef. I have no clue how they have 3.5 stars. The best part out of the whole dinner was the fortune cookie. The Kung pow beef had no flavor or spice. Pretty sure they used pork instead of beef. The cream cheese ragoons had no crab in it. Which I know they don't advertise it as it does, but disappointing. Honestly. Probably one of the worst Chinese meals I have ever had! The won ton soup is literally just two thinly sliced cabbage, three won tons and that's it. Do not get the steamed meat dumplings if want to taste mystery meat that tastes like dog food. Worse dumplings I've ever had. And the fried rice has zero flavor. Finally! A place that offers lo mein with teriyaki!! It's hard finding a place that has teriyaki chicken with lo mein instead of rice but when I saw that this place DID have that available I was stoked. Food was really good only thing is that it's quiet with no music no TV playing. Hopefully this review will help give them more business cause me and my boyfriend will be going there real soon!! I have read other reviews and looked at the pictures of the food. I guarantee you the food in the pictures is not the food I was served. Not even close. There must be more than one China Ink. The reviews are too far apart to be for one restaurant. The protein in my meal was like a processed beef. Very thin and pressed into a flat piece of meat, and did I mention very thin slices? I try to take into consideration that everyone has different taste buds and one person may love what I dislike,but I can't imagine anyone enjoying this. If you have never tasted Chinese food before don't judge your experience based on this food. Try another place before you judge Chinese food based this. read more

Why is it at there aren't any good dine-in Chinese restaurants to go to here. Woo-chi has a Terrible sewage plumbing issue, refuse to go there anymore. Lin grand buffet was hit with tons of violations recently. So we tried this place again after many years. Trust me, this place is not good either. Yes the portions are plentiful, but it is bland and flavorless. Thinking we could season the bland leftovers, to salvage it. Nope. Still terrible. Food was pretty average, but good and satisfying. Placed order online, simple process, though I did not get the online acknowledgement it said they would provide. Lunch order ready by the time I got there, in 15 minutes. Take out only at this time , maximum Covid isolation in place. Pepper steak was tender and tasty. Kung pao pork was fine, could have used some more pork though. Spring rolls, California roll nothing special, but not bad. Lunch special prices can't be beat. My car was having work done on it, so I stopped into China Ink for lunch because it was in the same center. They had a nice lunch menu. I decided to get the orange chicken lunch combo with egg fried rice and sweet and sour soup. I also ordered a California roll on the side. Service was good, and the food came out steaming hot. My first Impression was, " This is a lot of food." I started with the California Roll, which was absolutely horrible. The orange chicken wasn't much better. It tasted like store bought sauce over store bought battered chicken. The egg fried rice was very bland. It came with a spring roll and a won ton. Again both taste like grocery store bought items that were just deep fried. The sweet and sour soup was sub par and equally bad. I will not be going back. read more

We decided to get take out last night, and thst was a great idea!! We ordered 7 entress, a bunch of eggrolls, hot n sour soup, and some sushi. They stated it would be ready in 15 min, so when i arrived to pick it up, sure enough; it was ready as stated!! Get home, everything is super hot, fresh, and delicious!!! We also got plenty of chopsticks, sauces, and fortune cookies!! Very big portions aswell!! The service was amazing also. Super friendly, and will be back!! read more

Stopped in to order take out from the outside it actually looked closed, but the door was not locked and they were open. Orange chicken had a bit more spice than what other versions in town are. It was delicious The sesame chicken was nice and tender The beef Szechuan was great. The spice was right on and lots of veggies. Shrimp and walnuts was good. Good size shrimp and good taste. Shrimp chop suey was very good. The veggies were cooked perfectly. Egg rolls were fresh and delicious. We are new to the area and will definitely be back. read more

What a disappointment... this place was recommended by a close friend, so we ordered a mild chicken curry and other dishes. Lo and behold the mild chicken curry was NOT mild and was thrown out and there was hardly any chicken. Not sure what's happened to this place! (6) health Dept violations on 12/13/23.!! I had egg flower soup a few days ago.it was Orange. I thought that was odd as egg flower soup is always yellow. Anyways, I became ill almost immediately. Needless to say, I'm longer a fan of China Ink read more

I ordered the Chow Fun. Which are supposed to be thick, wide rice noodles? I get angel hair spaghetti noodles! The sauce was clear and extremely bland. I was very disappointed! We tried their takeout Friday and it was some of the best Chinese food we have ever had. Great size portions, the food was all fresh and delicious. Sad to see the bad reviews on here. It's why we didn't try sooner. Every place can have a bad day or need restructuring. Hate to see petty things for bad reviews. We will for sure be back. If things change I'll update our review. Every time we order it makes us kinda sick. The rice does not taste authentic. We are just not impressed with the flavors.

Very pleasant staff To walk in an order for the restaurant appear to be fairly clean and in proper order however The food was lackluster at dust and honestly it was poor I ordered all hot and sour soup that was extremely oily where the oil would separate on the spoon and float to the top so we can eat thought we got a seafood there's with shrimp which tasted like ammonia and we had to throw that away we're left with oil filled Spivey garlic chicken And again just floated in oil so if that's what you're looking for this is a great place again they were nice but we could never go back again read more

There were no flaws in the service or the food quality. As usual Chinese food is a good value compared with other ethnic foods. Was it as cheap as fast food? Probably, because though my bill was the price of an average dinner for two, I will have enough leftovers for several more meals. Because flavors and dishes are works of the art of food presentation and preparation, you may the same menu is different from one Chinese food restaurant than another one. Only a chain like Panda Express uses franchise techniques to maintain a reproducible reliable product across stores and time. I really enjoyed the sesame chicken and the dumplings in the wonton soup specifically because it tastes homemade and not with the boring sameness that they have when they are factory made. It's very different than when it was Moon China. I was a little saddened to see that the sushi temporarily unavailable, but that's the new norm with employee shortages, a holiday weekend, and supply chain interruptions of 2022. They were good enough to apologize for the inconvenience and post it outside the restaurant. We will certainly eat here again. read more
