A pretty unexpected and relatively cheap find in East Mesa! We got the menus a few months ago at our house when the restaurant was just opening. After reading a couple of the reviews back then, we weren't very enthusiastic about trying it, but the reviews seemed better so we gave it a shot and it was a good experience. We ordered crab rangoons, chicken dumplings, veggie spring rolls and two seafood ramen bowls with miso broth (after we confirmed that the broth has no pork at all). My husband picked up the order within about 20-25 minutes of ordering. The bill was about $45. Everything tasted good. All three appetizers were in a paper bag together and the sauces were on the side. Favorites in order would be: chicken dumpling is the best, then the crab Rangoon then the spring rolls. The ramen bowls had very good flavor. The miso broth worked really well with the seafood and the toppings and wasn't thin or watery. The seafood mix was imitation crab, shrimps, and muscles and we found a seasoned egg hiding in the broth which was a nice "free" surprise. The toppings were bamboo shoots, corn, green onions and bean sprouts as well as sesame seeds. All in all, a good restaurant with a solid 4 star take out experience. We will be retuning when we want a quick ramen fix in the area. Next time, we will try the spicy beef ramen with miso broth. read more

Finally got a chance to try this place... Seems there are several other ones and had mixed reviews. Some people complained that prices was too high... To me it seemed average.. I had donkatsu ramen.. $9.50 and got extra noodle for $2. Soup base was pretty good. Garnish seemed little small amount.. The noodle was most disappointing.. I don't expect them to make fresh noodle everyday.. But definitely had the straight out of the package taste. Over all the ramen was pretty good.. I would come back and try some other dishes. read more

The prices on their menu are wrong. The manager will yell at you and be extremely rude when you refuse to leave with an empty bag when you tell him this. Over $3 worth of sushi! The food we did get was burnt and a weird temperature. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I've had ramen before and it smelled good and the chicken was fresh as well as tasty and hot. I tried this place due to reviews and was really excited to try their chicken ramen and chicken chow main. Beyond disappointed!!! The soup had this awful smell and I took my spoon hoping for the best. It was so salty and the oddest taste ever. Even the egg wasn't even white! Yes I've had a whole boiled egg that wasn't the color of the soup. The chicken was burnt in some parts but not even fresh. I can't eat the ramen! I tried to had steaming hot water to see if that would help and oh it did not. The chicken chow had so much soy sauce that when you took a bite of the noodles it was like taking a tsp of salt. My stomach started to hurt and my tongue going bonkers from so much salt! I wish the one place in Scottsdale which makes the best Asian food was closer to me. read more

Finally went into the establishment I've been meaning to stop by for a couple of months! decided to try a little bit of everything. I got tempura sushi, the stuff, jalapeños teriyaki, chicken, and chicken Ramen to go! When I got home I tried the jalapeños and they were great! I tried the shrimp tempura, and it was great. Then I tried the Ramen, and while I was stirring everything all together, I found a short black hair in it, which completely ruined my appetite. I had super low expectations for this place. They've got a weird location and sign. But I went in after work and was so impressed. I've been back like 3 times to try everything on the menu, and I haven't been disappointed yet. My new go to place! Try their Mongolian beef for sure, and their orange chicken puts Panda Express to shame (obviously). It's never super busy when I'm there and it's always very clean and fast service. Definitely has my recommendation. read more

This is my go to lunch spot. I've gone around 7+ times. Each time I've ordered a different item, all are solid. Prices outside of sushi are pretty good. Really the bowls are where it's at. Ordered the orange chicken bowl and it was my favorite so far. Prices are good, food is always fast and hot. Definitely worth trying. read more

Food was great, rice cooked perfectly, chicken cooked where it wasn't dry like the desert, salmon was still up the river apparently because my salmon order never came. Just chicken. Why 4 stars you may ask? Well, their teriyaki sauce is really good, the chicken, though I wanted Salmon, hubby wanted chicken was also good. I just dealt with it. I ate it though...all of it. Horrible! I just picked up the Katsu with Curry and it was flavorless. The katsu was actually ok, but the 'curry' was watery and tasteless. I think it was just some flavorless brown 'sauce'. Additionally it was COVERED with limp bean sprouts, which are never served with katsu curry. I ended up tossing most of it. Save your money and try something else locally. read more

Malaysian noodles with shrimp. they didn't skimp on the shrimp and noodles were just right with the fresh green onions., spring rolls, dumplings were not over fried. very tasty. chicken chow mein essential greasy at all, noodles were firm. dish was fresh and hot. Teriyaki chicken was soft and juicy, i recommend sauce in the side, rice was on point , broccoli was a little shy but still quality ingredients. consistent flavors. Just was not good. The rice tased burnt and smoky. People were nice, but food altogether was $50 and it tasted like it should've been $15 if that. The orange chicken was soft and mushy. The spring roles were tiny and not like the pictures, also weren't crispy. read more

A hidden gem is east Mesa! Quality take out Asian food is difficult to come by in Mesa but Nora Asian Fresh delivered. It's walking distance from my girlfriends place and will be receive our business regularly. The orange chicken was flavorful and delicious and their chicken chow mien great! This was my first time ordering Pad Thai from this restaurant. I used a delivery service and when I received my order I got the wrong meal. I tried to find a number but the restaurant on my receipt was The Chinese Noodle Palace. Not Nora Asian Fresh. So I went to the restaurant with by the address on my receipt. I had to explain my situation and the worker, and the order was confirm. But I as told that if I did not request a specific meat it defaulted to shrimp. But online it is shown with chicken. I went to the Higley Mesa location for lunch and asked the guy tending the register which one of their rolls had unagi (freshwater eel) on it. He told pointed to the Dragon Roll. It came out pretty quickly but it was disappointing as hell. I don't know what they pass off as unagi, but that was definitely was not it. It may have been a badly cooked part of the skin, but there was no meat on that roll. Tough, rubbery, and inedible. I won't ever order that again! The food is delicious!! This is definitely a family friendly place. The have a great menu with lots of delicious options. My kids all love the orange chicken. I love the ramen, poke, and unagi. If you want to get food poisoning, this is the place to go. Check out this location on the Maricopa County health services department. The owner or manager does not wash his hands between handling food and handling cash, and just goes back to handling food again. We walked out that time. Decided to try it again in case it was a bad employee, turns out it wasn't. I watched him handle food at a prep station, handle my cash, and walk back into the kitchen. For what I hoped was him washing his hands-either way, he handed me change with meat residue on it. The food is not served at a proper temperature. The food is also awful. I walked out again. They also have a history of violations for improper hand washing of course, not labeling expiration dates, microwave with caked on food, cross-contamination of meat, and just leaving dirty wash cloths on their sushi preparation boards. they've only been open a little over a year and have multiple violations. Whoever is running the store, owner, or manager, does not care about proper food handling whatsoever. Hopefully, he washes his hands after leaving the restroom, but I doubt it.
