Their prices are so high for what you're getting. $20 for a roll of sushi, it better be amazing, and I would not say that. It was fine, the fish tasted fresh, but should've been about 20% cheaper. Why are we charging almost $7 for miso soup? The service was not great. I think they need to hire more servers, the two that were there were overworked, making service super slow. I know that's not their fault, we still tipped our server despite the negative experience. Took 45 mins to get our food, and they forgot the ginger & wasabi when we specifically asked for extra upon ordering. Then when we finally tracked down the server to get us the ginger/wasabi, it took them over 10 mins to bring it to us. Then one of our rolls was so salty it was inedible. (Don't get the garlic albacore roll). They took that roll off our bill and knocked a little off the total, but it was still $60 for a bad experience and to leave hungry. We went to in n out after. We are from the southwest side of PHX, Ahwatukee/Tempe/Downtown. We went on Mother's Day & I expected it to be busy. The blonde host was very accommodating & friendly. She was even helping out tables. Once we were seated, I noticed the tables were very dirty & sticky, after I seen them getting wiped down. I had to bring it to the staffs attention. He used the same rag to wipe down everything else to wipe my table down again. (Ew) The menus that were given to us were sticky and look like they need to be replaced. We ordered some pop corn shrimp and edamame. They were okay. We had some sushi rolls, they were okay. I did not eat much due to the ambiance but my daughter did not care and ate it up! Came here for our first time for happy hour and we had the bartender with red hair. All I have to say is that she has a horrible attitude and is not attentive at all. The bartender that came in for the night shift was immediately better and changed around our entire experience. Food was good and ambiance wasn't too bad but this girl was just sitting in front of us clearly waiting for us to tab out and finish eating. 100% felt rushed. Hands down, one of my favorite spots to go to in Queen creek, I love the "I hate sushi" menu! Everyone can find something to enjoy here. My favorites are the crab puffs, tempura shrimp & veggies as well as the California rolls. I have enjoyed all of the sushi rolls at one point or another and their happy hour prices can't be beat! But they need an upgrade-those booth seats are terrible-you go to sit thinking it's going to be cushioned and it isn't it's a hard uncushioned dip in all the booth seats. The bento boxes look dingy. So this place is pretty small and was packed only a half hour after opening. Would have loved to sit outside, but the front looked like it hasn't been swept in years. We decided to sit at the bar and wait for a bit before approached by bartender. Bartender was very nice but was too soft spoken and I had a hard time hearing her. The sushi was average, nothing blew my hair back and nothing was horrible. We had the crab Rangoon eggrolls which were great and we had the Boston roll that was ok and I think the dragon roll which was decent. Will I go back... probably not. read more

Overall wasn't to impress. The Vegas roll was on the cold side, the seaweed around the rolls was a bit chewy then what I am use to. The food is great. Our service was as good as it could be to given the circumstances. We came on a busy Saturday night and sat at the bar. The bar tender was our server and there was probably 30+ people there at the time. The bartender was our server, he was responsible for taking care of us, the others at the bar, as well as for making drinks for everyone else in the restaurant. Our service was very slow, but it wasn't his fault. He seemed like he was working hard and doing the best he could. We've been before but this visit was less than pleasing. We were seated right away at 715pm. We were waiting on one more person who got here at 725pm. We did our orders on the menu and ordered 5 rolls around 735. The appetizer came which was the veggie tempura and a sushimi came. Our other rolls were no where in sight and the restaurant started to die down. We were being asked if we're were doing ok but still no food. We almost decided to cancel the sushi order as when we asked if our rolls were going to be up soon, we overheard the chef say he was just starting our order and that was at 835pm. The food did not come to the table till 8:47pm and we were still missing 2 rolls. The sushi rolls were ok. They were not the best especially having the long wait. To top off the irritability, someone from the back came to our table to offer a $50 gift certificate to use and it had an expiration of today. We figured we'd be able to use it due to the service that was provided. When the check came, we showed the waitress the gift certificate and she took it. Minutes later she came back and said that we were unable to use it for the check. We told her that it was expiring today. She took it back and said that we had a year to use it but we could not use it on this visit. It would have been nice to be able to use it on this visit being the long wait we had for our food. It was just a way to get us back in, in the future. I know there are not many sushi places in Queen Creek but we would have been better off going to Sprouts to get our sushi fix or driven somewhere else. read more

We came to Sushi Creek for Mother's Day dinner as a party of four--two adults and two kids. I called ahead to ask about the wait and was told we could be seated immediately. We arrived within five minutes, but were surprised to find there was a wait. We were told it would be 15 minutes, but it ended up being 45, despite several empty tables. Once seated, it took over 30 minutes for anyone to take our order, and then another 30 minutes to receive our food. Unfortunately, our kids' meal never came. When we asked about it, the server told us it had been delivered to the wrong table. At that point, we asked for the check so we could leave and get food for our kids elsewhere. Even then, the kids' meal was still on the bill. We had to point it out before it was removed, and there was no apology or sense of urgency throughout the entire experience. We were really disappointed--not just with the long wait times and mix-ups, but also the complete lack of attention or care from the staff. I am so bummed that this was my experience at Sushi Creek. I've been wanting to come here for a long time, thought I should stop by after my dentist appointment.. Long story short, I left without eating. I placed a to go order for 1 sushi roll and waited over 30 mins. There were 4 tables total in the restaurant and 3 people behind the sushi bar. I work at a sushi restaurant and realized making rolls takes time but with 3 people behind the bar and only 4 tables in the restaurant, 30 mins seems absurd. After waiting that long, I asked for a refund and left because I had somewhere to be. The bartender had no explanation for me other than, "sorry it's still going to be a long while". That's after already waiting so long. I don't plan on coming here again. Super bummed and hungry. read more

Went in early on a Sat and while there wasn't a wait, place was still busy. Service was good but the sushi fell apart, prices were high and we waited for my daughter's food from kitchen forever. We were all done eating and it finally came out. I'm hoping it was just an off day with the sushi because eating sushi that's not properly rolled isn't pretty. On a side note, they don't do take out so you're left waiting forever for a table. We got lucky since we decided to have dinner at 4pm. I've never had a bad experience here since the new owner took over. Staff is always great, food is delicious (the Philadelphia roll & fried pickles are amazing), and happy hour is always great as well. The only thing we haven't cared for is the plain angus burger or the mozzarella sticks. My husband isn't a sushi fan and that's what he always gets, he's a big burger guy and isn't a fan of theirs. Almost all of the cheese sticks were empty from being cooked too long. I mean it's a sushi place, I really don't expect non sushi stuff to be amazing personally.
