Stopped here for quick lunch while in the area. This isn't my first time here but my first review. I was craving lo mein and that's exactly what I ordered with shrimp. I was informed that I needed to spend a minimum of $10 to use my card so I added an egg drop soup and chose to dine in. One of the wonders of some Chinese dishes is how quickly they can be prepared so my order was hot and ready in no time at all. And although I chose to dine in, my order was served in to go containers should I choose to take leftovers with me. The egg drop soup was hot and I needed to let it cool some before I could consume it. Also, the soup included a small side of crispy noodles for garnish. It was the standard, umami laden soup I needed on this cold day to warm me up and I finished every last drop. The shrimp lo mein was good too and had a hint of wok hei which I always appreciate. So we decided to try this place again since I like giving second chances and it was our original go to after all. Wish we didn't. It was my birthday weekend and on one of the nights we chose to have Chinese and I fondly remembered how much I enjoyed the lo mein. My wife ordered the food and had the phone on speaker. The young woman who works there is not the same woman we usually had, who wasn't very friendly, but was efficient. Anyways, we ordered a quart of lo mein and couple pints of other things. My wife distinctively said QUART. The young woman said 15 minutes and then we hung up with her. She did not repeat the order. They young woman at the counter was very sweet. Got home, opened up the bag and it was 3 pints. Called back and the young woman was not so sweet anymore. She rudely said, "I REPEATED IT BACK TO YOU." My wife said, "No you didn't." She was like, "What do you want?" Suddenly becoming not so sweet. My wife said, "We want a quart of lo mein like we ordered." She said, "we can only give you another pint." So my wife said, "OK." In disbelief, the young woman said, "Are you coming back!?" We were like, "Yeah, we don't have enough food for everyone." The young woman hung up on her. SO freaking rude. We drive all the way back and she looks at us like she hadn't just seen us 30 minutes ago and I say, "We need the lo mein." It wasn't ready. Her face got all red and she was visibly pissed. So we waited another 5 minutes and got the pint that we traveled back out for. I told her not to hang up on customers and we walked out. Point being: She was wrong, but she'd rather accuse us of lying. Then she was rude. Hung up on us. No apologies. No way are we giving this place another chance. Ridiculous. Stopped here on Christmas Day afternoon for take-out. Super quick order at the counter & our food was ready in 10 minutes or less. The broth to the wonton soup was tasty. Spring rolls were hot & crispy. Chicken with snow peas was a huge portion enough for 2 meals for 2 people. The shrimp chow fun had lots of shrimp & yummy wide noodles. When I order pepper beef, I expect to see a fleck of black pepper at least. Nope. The Buddha's Delight (name?), was the only dish that was worth eating; it actually had some Asian veggies in so-so sauce. The other two, one was tofu, tasted the same as the pepper beef, same sad swimming pool of sauce, same bland taste. So disappointing after a beautiful, fun day in Amish country.
