Great service and food. I had take out, but you can dine in. I also had a shrimp egg roll. It was absolutely delicious

Delivery chicken fried rice (with a teriyaki chicken stick on the side).

Not pleased with the food here. My chicken fried rice was disappointing to say the least. The chicken looked gray and of poor quality. The rice even looked like it had been scraped from the bottom of the rice cooker. The teriyaki sticks were huge, but kind of breaded in a way. Flavor was OK. The veggie egg roll only had cabbage inside. No other veggies. My hubby liked his general Tso's ok. My fortune cookie was an omen-opened it first....to NO FORTUNE. :( will not try again.

Best bourbon chicken I've ever had. Order the big serving and it will feed two adults!

This is my husband & my favorite poke place in Madison. Currently, they're housed within another…read morerestaurant though which can be confusing. They share a space with FEAST- Artisan Dumpling and Tea House. You can order off Poke Poke's menu while dining in or you can order online off their website and pick it up for take out (this is what we have always done but I do want to try FEAST sometime as it's a cool atmosphere/space). Poke Poke has a variety of meal options and you can either get one of their classic poke bowls or you can build your own. There's a great selection of add-ons and toppings to choose from as well as many proteins ranging from raw sushi grade salmon or tuna, to cooked shrimp, chicken, or tofu, making it a great poke spot for people who don't want raw sushi grade fish. My husband and I have been getting this poke for years and his go to is the Classic Hawaii (with macadamia nuts removed). My go to is doing a Build Your Own Seafood Bowl. I always get the white rice (we did notice they got rid of the white rice & baby spinach option which I loved), sushi grade salmon, and then a lot of the veggies and toppings. I always get the shoyu sauce which has great flavor and sometimes I also add the chili mayo sauce too. You can't go wrong building your own and it's such a nice mix of fresh vibrant foods. Lastly, when you order online you can choose a pick-up time or choose "ASAP" which is 15-20 min. Unfortunately, last night I chose "ASAP" and when my husband got there at the time they said, he had to still wait an additional 15-20 min. This happens that we have to wait longer about 1/2 the time so just allow for that. Again, this is our favorite poke place in Madison, providing great quality foods packed with flavor! Definitely try this out!

I would say the value is pretty on par if not better than other places. My mom is indecisive as always so we got literally every free topping and add in (pictured). It was pretty yummy and for it being every ingredient I would say the value is pretty amazing as well. The person making them helped us pick out the sauce as well! Truly the only thing that kinda annoys me is that you have to pay extra for avocado. For COVID times, there's only outdoor seating (two different tables) and it faces south so if you can snag a table you get plenty of sunshine! TLDR: an all around great poke place. Ask for everything, it actually all works together!

It was nice and crispy and not overly oily like some places. 10/10 for the chicken. But as for the sides, I was pretty disappointed. The Mac and cheese tasted like butter noodles with no cheese. The greens were pretty okay, but a little too salty. The side of toast went well with the meal so that was nice. The fries, not so much. They were pretty flavorless. I was then pretty shocked when I got my mild sauce and it was basically sweet and sour? Maybe I don't know my sauces but I was not expecting that. I was also sad to see my banana pudding was missing that I was looking forward to so sadly I don't have a review for that. If I were to ever go back I'd only go for the chicken. They also have yams but I didn't try those. My partner tried a gyro and was pretty sad that it was tiny/flavorless. BUT, he loved the chicken. I also recommend ordering ahead if you can and doing take out. Everything is made to order so it takes a bit to make and there's only one small table so it's not really fit for groups or sitting down. While waiting for my meal I got bored and went over to the gas station this store is connected to and bought a soda and a couple of lottery tickets. I was a winner winner chicken dinner as they say!! I got a whopping $1 woo.

They asked if we want to be upstairs or downstairs. This was our first visit so we didn't know what to expect so we checked out both options and chose upstairs. I do not recommend the downstairs as it is very dingy, cold, and no decor at all. There's hardly any decor upstairs either which definitely takes away from the possible atmosphere in some rooms. Our servers were great, it seemed like we had two because the second one seemed to be shadowing. Our old fashioneds were delicious, although they should upgrade to better cherries. For food, the rye bread and clam chowder were both a 10/10. I would come back just for these two items. The coleslaw was way too sweet, we barely touched it. We ordered the fried walleye and a fried perch sandwich. The walleye was large, good, and flaky. The perch was also flaky which was hard in a sandwich because it fell apart almost instantly. The baked potato was fine. The shrimp cocktail was pretty good but the shrimp were so wet it was nearly impossible to get the cocktail sauce to stay on. The fries were clearly from frozen which was disappointing. We got the turtle brownie for dessert and it was okay as well. The parking lot was full, and small, so we ended up parking on the street. Overall I wouldn't rush back but if I did it would be for the clam chowder and rye bread. Maybe we could just sit at the bar instead as that seemed like a lively and fun area.
