    Chicken fried rice
    Samantha B.

Tried to call in the order she kept repeating do I kno their location, so I just came inside. Rude steady rushing me to order and had the nerve to serve my family the nastiest trashiest rice I've gotten around no lie. I ordered chicken fried rice with bean sprouts brown gravy and beef added. Also got a few egg rolls and crabragoons. The rice is awful we literally wasted our money. We all ate close to nothing guess the dog will enjoy it. Not sure what kind of chicken meat was in it, just white globs of dough it tasted like. The egg rolls taste like they could've been good minus the molded taste...like a strong moldy taste. They were nice enough to put 2 cookies in the sac, cookies so nasty my 3 year old took a bite and gave it back saying he don't want it which NEVER happened with any cookie. There's a china king in Belleville Illinois that would never serve trash like this. Do yourself a favor and avoid this nasty a$$ place man...if I could give it 0 stars I would

China King is a dine-in or takeout joint in the Buzz Westfall Plaza on the Boulevard (aka the former Northland Plaza), located at the site of the former Chopstix. I don't know if China King is a chain, or just a very popular generic name for a Chinese food restaurant. As a frequent Chopstix diner, I was anxious to try this particular China King so I could see how it compared, and how it was overall. For my family, I ordered the Singapore Noodles, Seafood Delight, Fried Steamed Dumpling (eh, basically potstickers), Special Fried Rice, Eggrolls, Fried Chicken Gizzards and Hot Braised Wings, to go. The dining area is just ok. It is quite small, and I have never cared for the windows being uncovered. The decor is nothing special, but decent. It looks clean, and it's still better than the often dilapidated seating at the typical "city" Chinese (primarily) take-out restaurants. I was there in early evening, and there were other take-out customers, but no one dining in at that time. The dumplings may very well be made in-house, and are shaped a little differently from typical potstickers, but were good, and come with the usual vinegar & soy sauce mixture. Eggrolls were good, possibly better than average. I don't know if they are made there or are provided by a vendor. The gizzards had a great flavor and were simply seasoned. Very lightly breaded. The Singapore Noodles was quite good! This is made with spaghetti-like noodles, and contains a bit of curry in the sauce. The fried rice was very good, and rightfully so, as many Chinese joints in or near the city simply must be good at fried rice! China King did well here. I forgot to try the wings, but mama said they were good. Now, I might've given them another star had their Seafood Delight been on-point, however, it wasn't quite there. When you serve dishes like this, you simply must make sure each of the many ingredients is as fresh as possible, from the start. While the dishes were prepared with skill, some of the seafood items were... dicey. The shrimp was super chewy and just not the correct snappy texture one would expect. The surimi (sea legs, imitation crab) looked good, but tasted off. They threw in a few crab rangoon, since I had gotten so much food! They were good, a bit sweet, no noticeable crab, but then that's common with these things. The bottom line, is that this China King is a winner, and is much better than most any Chinese restaurant in the North County area. You will not find food this good at Lisa's or anything else nearby. Generally, recommended!

Well made food with really nice people. You definitely have to get their St. Paul sandwich.

You grab a bowl and start putting in whatever ingredients you want. They have a lot of different items that you can choose from. They have a weight minimum, which I think should be pretty easy to hit. Once you have all your toppings, they weigh your bowl and you pick out your soup broth. I really don't like spice so I went with the tomato soup base and it had a good flavor and a little bit of spice but definitely not too much. my friend got the sweet and spicy soup broth and it tasted delicious, but would've been too spicy for me. The food came out pretty quickly. They have a station for free rice and water which was really nice. They also had some suckers that you could grab as a little treat on your way out. I would definitely come here again, but it is a little bit pricey your bowl is gonna start around $16 and go up depending on the weight. Everything is super fresh and delicious so it is worth the cost.

I flinch whenever I hear the "movoc" and I get so excited I want to throw up whenever someone suggests going to movoc for a hangout. There are lots of toppings to choose from, and I think that the concept of hot pot price by weight just like FroYo is fun and unique. Service is fast, and clean. The hot pot was delicious and not too spicy and the sauces they had to offer were very delicious as well. Not too salty. It's a wonderful place, whether you go alone or with friends.

I was able to find the name of the restaurant on Yelp and found out that it was Chinese BBQ restaurant. Needless to say, I hopped in my car and drove straight to it right after. They open until late (midnight) so it's a perfect spot for hanging out and gathering. The restaurant is not too big so I would imagine a little wait if it ever gets busy. We came on a Friday but it was not too busy. You will be given an iPad to look through the menu and send orders to the kitchen. The process was straightforward. Food was pretty good in my opinion. I can't tell if it's authentic or not since I'm not Chinese but the whole experience was so cool. Food was cooked but they brought out a stove to warm my food. I recommend getting the lamb skewers and the Taiwanese sausage. In addition, if you like seafood, try out the oyster and vermicelli tin foil. The oyster was really juicy and fresh. Price was a little high. Expect to spend about 30-50 per person. However, I do enjoy my experience and will return for sure.

I am a sucker for a good lamb skewer so when I walked in to visit I ended up order 6 of them. You can order at the kiosk or at the register. My total was $16.99 before tax and tip. The interior of the restaurant is pretty small, but there are a few tables for seating if you're not getting them to go. I enjoyed my skewers and the flavor but thought that they were a little small for the price. I might try some other skewers if I'm in the area but would likely not purposefully make a trip out of it unless going with friends.

The food came out fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. The popcorn chicken was crispy and perfectly seasoned, the stir-fry was delicious, and the sizzling pepper beef was easily one of the highlights -- incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly. The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh, and there wasn't a single disappointing dish on the table. This was our first time trying ChiliSpot and it absolutely lived up to the recommendation. One of those places where you're already looking at the menu deciding what you want to try next time before you've even finished your meal. Fantastic food, great experience, and an easy 5 stars. For two people, this is my go to order:…read more *Deep fried handmade tofu with special sauce (17.95) *Sautéed lamb with cumin (19.95) *Storm fish fillet (19.95) The lamb has enough of the "wetness" and vegetables to eat and mix with the rice. The lamb pieces used to be small but they are huge now! Appreciate the owners taking the feedback. I think they make the tofu in house. They are huge thick soft pieces with enough crispness on the outside. It's a good introduction to how seriously Chinese people take tofu and how in other countries they have a huge variety of tofu, vs the select few we have in the U.S. And I used to be partial to the spicy fried fish at cate zone, but chilispot has upgrade this dish a lot. It's perfectly crispy and hot!!! Even if you don't like fish, it's a great dish and also makes for great leftovers. I know the fried chicken is popular but I find the chicken pieces are too small. Even with two heavy eaters, we still have leftovers for another meal
