I like this place however, tonight I ordered crab Rangoon and when I got home I realized I had a eight piece.. so I called and let them know that the lady didnt ask me which one I wanted and he said I had to let her know which one I wanted. After all she asked me if I wanted a sml or large box of rice. I don't think they should have assumed I wanted an eight piece in the first place. He was adamant that he asked me how many I wanted and I told him eight. That was completely false because the lady took my order. He explained to me that the four piece was five something and the eight piece was seven something I don't wanna pay extra if I don't have to and I'm def not eating 8. I really would like to leave a more positive review. Our family has been ordering from this restaurant for the past 20 years. I recently ordered a large order and they neglected to put in part of it. I don't even know where to begin I decided to try this because I was craving Chinese and saw good reviews on here and on Google. Wish I would've not just wasted my money the food was making me sick to my stomach I got the lunch combo of general tsos chicken and the rice tasted odd the chicken in the rice looked disgusting and the general tsos chicken had a weird flavor that I can't pin point. Crab Rangoon is one of those things that I usually like no matter what but there Rangoon tasted sour. Oh and the fortune cookies were stale. This was our first time ordering from this restaurant. We ordered crab rangoons, small hot and sour soup, general taos chicken combo, and a sweet and sour combo. The crab rangoons were AMAZING! Lightly fried and FILLED according to my boyfriend. The combos were tasty with pork fried rice and egg rolls. This will be our new go to place for Chinese food. Amazing, fresh food. We have been looking for a good spot for Chinese food in the area and this will probably be our new favorite spot! We ordered a little mix of everything from chicken to shrimp to beef. We had lo mein noodles, white rice and fried rice and it was all amazing. The crab Rangoons are 12/10 (highly recommend). The workers were extremely polite and the food was fresh and fast. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for Chinese food that is not so heavy. Didn't feel like going out so used DoorDash for delivery. Simple order. Chicked fried rice, crab rangoon and an egg roll. I get not one sweet and sour sauce packet. When the site lists two bucks for it, I figured they meant if I wanted EXTRA, not if I wanted some period. Also, I didn't get any utensils. This is cool because I'm at home but what if I wasn't? I'd be eating rice with my fingers. Lastly, the crab rangoon are a good size but sure as hell would've been better with the sauce. The rice looked and tasted burned. The food is really good, by far the best crab rangoon I have found in STL.

I ordered takeout and it was ready in 10 minutes. Fried rice was amazing! Large portions and decent price. Plenty of meat in the fried rice (some places skimp on this) and enough for two meals for most people. Tasted amazing too! read more

I ordered the BBQ roast pork. The meat was tough and tasted boiled, and the sauce didn't not compliment it at all.

I've been ordering from China Moon on West Florissant for years, at first I loved the food & the "friendly" service! I remember when they first opened & there were two young guys who were working then & they told us, "you'll see our food is the best, you'll be back!" I don't know where those boys went but now this lady & her husband are the worse! First of all, I don't appreciate receiving a monkey with my order, yes that's right a damn monkey! They had no need to insult my family in this way, it's a slur against me & for a Chinese takeout establishment that serves EVERYONE, they shouldn't be allowed to discriminate against anyone of any color or religion! It's hurtful rude & gross on their part & I will not order nor patronize a restaurant that serves monkeys to only "certain" customers! This is really shameful & disrespectful on their part! I know the area where I live is not the "best" but if they didn't want to deliver to me, then they should've told me instead of giving me a so called racist "hint"! I have been going there for years, China Moon is my go-to place for Chinese take-out. Over the years we have tried many different dishes, they were always good and there is nothing I have had there that I wouldn't order again. Crab Rangoon is exceptional, egg rolls (veggie, spring and pork) are very good and spicy. Hot and sour soup and House Special soup are excellent. Chicken on a stick is dyn-o-mite. Fried rice is always good, my favorite is the house special fried rice ( beef, chicken and shrimp), chicken and beef are right up there too. I could go on and on, but as I said, everything I have had is great. If you have a particular favorite Chinese dish, I'm sure you won't be disappointed with their version of the dish. They also have reasonably priced combo lunch plates if your interested. read more

This use to be the best restaurant in town but for the last year now it has fallen off !! Everytime I call in my order they leave me on hold or set the phone down take everyone else's orders including answering another phone call and still I sit, they rush me threw ordering not give me a time frame or price of order!! My sister and her family came in from out of town. They don't have Duck and Noodles where they live My sister really wanted some. I called before they arrived and ordered a whole duck along with a order of noodles for each of us(6 people), with extra noodles for a few folks When the food arrived I opened the duck and there was the duck nicely cut up. We began eating the duck. We almost ate the entire duck before we ate the noodles. The duck was soooo good. My sister sat there looking blissful, saying this is so good over and over. Best chinese in saint louis. Their crab Rangoon is the best I have ever had, I usually place an extra order for 8 of them. My only complaint are the hours. They don't open until 11:30 on weekends which is too late because sometimes you wake up in the morning and you're thinking wow chinese sounds so good right now and they're closed for a few more hours. If China Moon opened at 9 or 10 on weekends they would be perfect. read more
