We used to live on the East End so this was a regular stop during the week for us when I didn't feel like making dinner . I really enjoy the pork steamed dumplings and the moo shu pork. There's never really a long wait time to get your food . In terms of the inside it's clean and there's a couple of tables to sit at however they don't serve alcohol. I also called to speak to a manager and he never offered me anything but an apology. Every time I needed Chinese takeout quickly, I come here. It's conveniently located in the Bryan Station shopping center. I'm a bit picky and each time, the cook has prepared my food to my taste. My favorite item is the broccoli with brown sauce and rice. read more

Very disappointed in China King, I eat from here quite often and tried to order for my workplace, for 7 staff members, and they charged my bosses card an extra $69.38 separately then the actual charge. Then when the food does arrive, they sent one less meal than I ordered so a coworker didn't have their food. the customer service was horrible when I called back, I was hung up on the first time and had to call three more times, then all they were willing to do was take off the delivery fee. every card I tried to give them they said declined until I agreed to pay cash. upon arrival they tried to charge the $4 delivery fee anyway. I was thoroughly disappointed with this Chinese restaurant. Food came hot and smelled really good; but there are too many complaints to make it worth a 4 star review. If I could give it a ZERO, I totally would. 1) Food was way too salty. When you have to drink 6-8 oz of water before you could go pee, then it's not good. 2) Got the shrimp vegetable mix. Smelled fabulous until I tasted the shrimp. When your shrimp tastes like the smell of cat urine, then you know your food wasn't great. 3) Both my husband and I got so sick. We couldn't stay away from the bathroom long enough. All in all, thoroughly a disappointment. Ordered take out on a Monday evening. Phone call was quick and order was correct. It was ready when I got there and food was still hot by the time I got it home. The worst delivery option in Lexington. Not only that, it's the worst Chinese delivery and customer service I've ever experienced. Last night when we called and placed the order, we were told that it would be 45 minutes. After an hour of waiting on our order, attempted to call over and over last night to cancel my order before I finally went to bed at 11. When it finally arrived, everything was cold. I called today to complain before posting this and it was the most ridiculous argument ever. "I have your order time in my computer, you called at 10". It was 9:50, but close. "We closed at 10:30" "Delivery time was running at an hour and a half" Well that's not what we were told and had I been told an hour and half, I wouldn't have placed the order. "We can give you a refund if you bring us the food". Yes I have the food. It was delivered, so you can come get it. "No, we can't give you a refund because the tickets from last night are closed". I was so frustrated with the ridiculousness of the conversation, I hung up. I called my credit card company who said they hadn't run the transaction. This used to be my favorite takeout place... not anymore! I get that busy times and mishaps come, but the I felt like I was arguing with a teenager, not a manager. read more

The food was tasteless. Have been coming here every Sunday for the past 4 years and it use to be good. I always have put hot oil under special instructions and they have always added it in there until today. The lady up front who was very rude said it was a special charge from now on when it has never been for the past 4 years. Quantity of food has also been limited so your not getting as much as you use to. Thanks goodness there is a happy china right down the road because that's where I'll be taking my business. Ordered lunch online for my employees at 12:56. Have ordered here from the past online with no issues. This time however after 45 minutes of waiting we called to check on the order. It was for three things. They told us the driver was out and on his way. We waited 25 more minutes and called again. Gave them the same information and was told they didn't receive the order. We always order $30 or more and are literally located a block away from the restaurant. We always substantially tip the drivers as well as an online tip. If you are going to offer a service please make sure that you can fulfill it. Now you have lost a good customer, who didn't care if the wait was a little long. Unacceptable and now I have employees who have to scramble to find something for their lunch break, because your restaurant has become sub par. A call or something would have sufficed. But you didn't even have the courtesy to do that. Done with patronizing this sorry excuse for a business. read more

Had a pretty bad experience tonight ordering General tsaos. Order took an hour and a half to deliver, delivery person called after I was waiting over an hour to say she'll be there is 15 minutes. Finally received the food, took a bite and it was terrible. I've had mediocre Chinese but this was just plain awful. Chicken was overcooked, no sweetness at all...I don't think it had any sauce...it literally tasted like I was eating rubber. Tried the broccoli and it just didn't taste right. To top it off, I gagged on a chicken bone...wth, I've never choked on a bone eating General tsaos! I'm questioning now whether this was even safe to eat.
