    Weekend lunch buffet items.
    Kevin D.

Coming from the SF Bay Area, our family has missed Chinese food. Panda Cuisine is by far the most authentic Chinese food in the area, probably within 250 miles. Went for the weekend lunch buffet. Highlights were the salt and pepper shrimp, soy milk soup, pork belly, pigs ear, and intestines. Loved the choices of vegetables too (broccoli, egg plant, snow peas, choy). Wished we lived closer so we could have more often.

Food was pretty authentic sichuan/chongqing spicy. The Sunday lunch buffet was not too large but packed with goodies.

I'm from SICHUAN just crossing here.It was amazing SiChuan food in America I have had.Excellent service and lower price.Highly recommend Panda Cuisine

    110. Sichuan Spicy Hot Pot

Delicious. A little bit of everything. Not too salty or oily. Great Szechuan flavor. And for the price, you get a lot of food.

    111. Ma Po Tofu
    John B.

My takeout was ready in a timely fashion, but I was kind of iffy on it. The ma po tofu was good, with a nice peppery spice mix on top. Not quite as spicy as I'd like, but flavorful for sure. There just wasn't quite enough portion for the price to make it worth my while, and the choice of white or fried rice on the site leaves something to be desired. I thought I'd get more veggies and an alternate protein source, and tried bok choy with water chestnuts. The sauce had an off taste I couldn't place, and the nuts had a grainy texture; I guess I just don't like whatever nuts they use. The other thing I had against them was a lack of clear vegetarian labeling on the menu. It was a nicer place inside than I expected, and I could see dining there, but as far as takeout goes, I kind of wished I'd just eaten in.

Ask the Community - Panda Cuisine

Does Panda Cuisine still offer different themes on their Saturday and Sunday buffet? They used to have authentic options on Saturday and Dim sum options On Sundays. Is it still the same?

I was there in November on a Sunday. Their buffet offered many authentic items and a few dimsum dishes such as XLB and shrimp dumplings.

How is it for celiac/gluten free options?

What are the hours for the buffet bar?

    Only on the weekends, 11-3

Is the Saturday buffet all day or is it just a certain time during the day?

The restaurant opens at 11 a.m. The buffet runs from opening to 3 p.m.

Is the buffet only on Saturday during the day?

lunch buffet only on Sat and Sun. Sunday is dim sum buffet

How much is their Saturday buffet? And is it all day?

Atmosphere was quite loud due to the acoustics and everything is hard surfaces. Including chairs. I like a comfortable chair instead of the 'we're going to make it so hard you won't out stay your welcome'. Service was very good and prices equally reasonable especially for the amount of food served. We weren't starving, but had a full to-go box between our two meals. The food was in the average category even though everything was well prepared and presented. (Hot/fresh). Just not a lot of flavor. Hush puppies decent but not much taste. Coconut fried shrimp about the same. Had to use the dipping sauce for flavor. Fries are fries. Cheese grits not very tasty and were bland sprinkled with a little cheese. Thicker than mortar! Key lime pie was excellent despite I'm not sure if they used key limes. Appears homemade with some actual zest on top. Although not 'limey' enough, good crust and custard base. Atmosphere-3. Food-3. Service-4. Value-4. I'd go back and probably try less fried food. Could be they haven't changed the oil frequently enough.

The Good I consider myself some what of a seafood boil "snob" being that I lived in Las Vegas around some of the best restaurants in the world and have had seafood all over the country. There isn't any seafood in the small town I live in so every time I go out of town for work I stop to get seafood. The appeal of the Storming Crab: this place is located just down from the Fayette Mall which use to be a booming shopping center. The restaurant has a HUGE Fiberglass Crab on the outside of the building and hip graffiti painting outside. Inside the restaurant reminds you of being on a ship if it was autographed by everyone you know. The host was nice and so was my server who was super sweet. The Bad (?): I had been here a few times before and remember being disappointed because of the butter reminded me of the jug of melted popcorn butter instead of real melted butter. - However this time it didn't taste that way so I'm not sure if they changed it but it really won me back as a customer. The Good: Something I did find today that I have never found before is their seafood bread! I don't know what kind of witchcraft it is but it is one of the best things I've had. Think cheddar bay biscuits x100! Overall the Storming Crab is a solid choice. As someone who is a seafood person, if you get a boil, and know how to peel seafood, get the head ON shrimp vs. the head off- it should be fresher and more meat.

But the food was so good! I had been there once before, shortly after opening, and thought it was so-so. But the 2nd visit was a much better experience. I had the "make me something sweet" mocktail and it was pretty and tasted refreshing. Our server was top notch and explained every dish on the menu, and gave us recommendations. For our appetizer, we had the beef tartare, it was also just okay. We didn't even finish half of it. The star of the dish was the rye crisp, unfortunately. For our entree we had the baked rigatoni and the pork tenderloin. The pork tenderloin dish was delicious and so was the rigatoni. That was a plus. It was extremely loud in the restaurant. Be prepared to yell at your table partner. Between the amount of people talking loudly (I assume to attempt to talk over the loud music) and the music, and being seated really near other people, having a conversation was difficult. So don't go with anyone who is hard of hearing with background noise (my husband lol). Food took a little longer than what I'd prefer to come out. The restaurant itself had a great vibe and decorations were cute.
