Monday at lunch was weirdly busy. We arrived around 12:45 thinking the lunch rush was over but we were just the beginning. They stayed busy until we were finished. We ordered two meals and it probably took about 8 mins or so which wasn't terrible. Both meals were hot so no complaint there. The food is horrible and the customer service is worse than the food! I've been there 3 times and the second I was a little sick? I thought because I had vertigo but' I had to try it a third time and nope it's the nasty food! I took my food back to the restaurant to show them that my egg Young was burnt and had a bad smell, the person at the cash register said it looks like the picture and looked beyond me and said next to the next person? I was a loyal customer and never complained. I get my meal it is fried to the point the shrimp is shriveled. He argued with me and I told him I would bring it back to show him. During the conversation, he kept trying to justify it. I get to the restaurant and show him. That is after the comment just don't order it anymore. I told him I will do one better and never order again. When I show it to him, he says one piece is hard, I proceeded to show him more pieces. I told him I don't have to lie. He said I don't know what you want me to do. At that point, I said refund. I refuse to have someone speak to me in a condescending tone and think I will spend my money there. This was our first experience with China Kitchen and we were so disappointed. The house lo mein really had no flavor. The lemon pepper wings were overly crusted with seasoning and too salty to eat. When I moved to Lovejoy to assist in the care of my parents I introduced them to Asian takeout. Maybe only once or twice a month at China Kitchen but it was always a positive experience. We typically ordered chicken with cashews and there were plenty of nuts and plenty of sauce. As the management changed I started having to ask for a little more sauce to keep the ingredients moist. Now to tonight. I called after I came home with a very large order and complained that there are not only NO cashews in the dish but it is so salty it is not acceptable for three senior citizens. The boy answering the phone said specifically "you said you wanted more salt. Nope, I said the same thing I always do . . . I would like more sauce please When I asked to get a refund for food we cannot eat and was expedited by the language barrier, a very agitated manager in the background offered to give me a 10% discount on my next order IN CHINESE. Yeah . . . there will not be one of those. Food in the garbage. I sure hate that. People starving everywhere. China included. SHAME!!!!!! read more

I enjoy eating at this location of china kitchen. The customer service is prompt and polite. I have ordered several things from their lunch menu, the combination plate menu and the appetizer menu. everything I ordered was cooked to as near perfection as you can get in 10 to 20 minutes. Another plus is their rating was 99 a rare sight to find in the Chinese fast food arena. Some honorable mentions in my food adventure at the china kitchen are as follows; The sweet and sour shrimp rings is a magnificent dish you can enjoy with or without the sauce. they are fried fluffy and crisp to perfection. The fried baby shrimp is also another home run you get a generous amount of fried medium size shrimp that you can enjoy with either fried rice or french fries. The entire rib selection which include spare ribs, spare rib tips and boneless ribs are a feast to be desired. They are meaty and very delicious. The spare ribs and the spare rib tips are more juicier than the boneless but not more delicious. All three are a good choice when you have a taste for ribs and fries. The house fried rice is so far the best I have found that is to my taste. It is full of shrimp, chicken, beef and pork. Very fluffy not under done or over cooked but right in the middle. Now every good has some bad. The very few bad points I found are as follows; I have tried many chicken wings from many fast food restaurants and in my groups I would have to say I was not a fan of the chicken wings. It is not that they tasted bad it was more the quality of the wings, they were just too small. Which leads me to the sesame chicken. It was not the quality this time, but the actual taste, the sauce was not to my liking, but others may fine it acceptable. My overall experience at the Lovejoy location was awesome enough to make that my go to Chinese food when in Lovejoy. I highly suggest to give this location a try when you are in Lovejoy you will not be disappointed. read more

They're okay. I've ordered from them several times, always ordering the same thing: Teriyaki chicken. But twice I ventured into uncharted territory with the egg foo yung and the chicken curry. The egg foo yung was dry and tasteless. The chicken curry looked an awful lot like chicken and vegetables. If you order from here, just stick with what you know. read more

funny I see the other reviews and I eat here often, yes there are much better, but the food is always good and fast, one of the best shrimp egg rolls around.
