House of Lin has the most authentic and flavor rich Chinese cuisine in the Conyers area. We have tried numerous Asian/Chinese cuisine restaurants and House of Lin is by far the best in class for taste, quality of ingredients, and portion size for a reasonable price. We ordered chicken fried rice and braised chicken wings as sampler items. The chicken fried rice actually had vegetables in it and was well seasoned (i.e., some Chinese restaurants omit the vegatables). The braised wings had the traditional brown sauce, were cooked cripsy, and great tasting. My family of picky-eaters and critics approved. I requested a takeout order. The woman taking my order was very rude despite the fact I was very polite and patient with her. She became even more rude when I didn't leave her a tip for my take out order. I ordered chicken wings with chicken fried rice, and order of house special fried rice and an order of fries. She put 3 duck sauce packets in the bag and when I asked her for another packet of duck sauce she responded rudely and said "You don't need anymore duck sauce because you didn't order a lot of food!" as if I was asking for free food. Best Chinese food in the area? If that's the case, I feel bad for Conyers. They need to be introduced to better chinese food. I know I may be asking a lot: for a Chinese restaurant that rivals those in California. Maybe that's why I avoided eating at a chinese restaurant for almost a year, since moving to Atlanta. Someone at work suggested we order take out for lunch here, so I thought I'd give it a shot. The food portions are HUGE for the price. However, I feel like they try to make up for the flavors by putting a crap ton salt in everything. The soup and entrees were just too salty. And I wasn't the only one who thought this. I heard comments from at least 10 people about how salty the food was. It was an MSG overload! I had to add tons of water to my soup so I could enjoy it. I would suggest getting dry entrees that don't have a lot of sauce to maybe avoid salty dishes. The only thing I enjoyed was the eggroll because they didn't pour salt all over it. Clean clean and clean, freshly made Chinese food made to order. The chicken does not look like that old mashed up hunk of mystery meat, it's actually like a chicken tenders with the Asian flavors. Parking is huge and always avaliable, food made in and out in 5-7 minutes. I've had the chicken fried rice, the sesame chicken and lo men's all very good. I think this is one of the best Chinese Restaurants in the Conyers/Covington area! First time I had it, I got the Fried Rice/General Tso Chicken. The chicken was not overly breaded like some places. It was very good. Fried Rice was plain yet had taste! The egg roll was tasty. Fried to golden perfection. I also got Pot Stickers. I had better. Probably won't be getting those again from there. I also got the chicken fried rice/lemon pepper wings! The Fried rice was really good. The lemon pepper wings was very flavorful and fried perfectly. We ordered the shrimp lo mein, hot wings and vegetable stir fry rice. We picked up the order and did not know that the order was incorrect until we got home. I politely called to let them know the next day and was told to bring in the lo mein order. We brought the incorrect order in to them and was told that.. oh my its been eaten out of. l was then scolded by the supervisor/manager about how to place the order. The staff members all were shouting in their language while being very disrespectful to all patrons standing in the lobby. I was asked to pay $2.00 more for the shrimp to be added to the lo mein in which we paid for shrimp on the day before. I was disappointed, insulted and very disrespected, being that we have been patronizing this restaurant for 2 years on multiple occasions. We will not be going there anymore.
