The food arrived hot and fresh. They even threw in a free eggroll. General Tso's Chicken was delicious! The entree had a good portion of meat and it was cooked perfectly. The chicken pieces were fried nicely and had a crunch. The sauce tasted good and it had a bit of a kick. The dish came with broccoli that was crunchy, but soft. Pork Fried rice was also very good. It was cooked nicely and it complemented the chicken. Overall, everything tasted so good and it is my go-to when I am craving Chinese food. I have also had their shrimp with cashew nut, egg drop soup, and the shrimp chow mei fun. These dishes were also good.

This was our second and last time ordering. It seems like they specialize in "Onion"fried rice…read morebecause our chicken fried rice had about two largely chopped white onions in it and little to no chicken. Must be their way to cut protein cost down, but a least they could not be so lazy and actually chop the onions. The Generals chicken very soggy and greasy. The inside looks extremely dirty and rundown. We are praying for digestion. Sad to say you can get better Chinese from the mall or Panda.

Eating healthy with the freshest ingredients is available here. Hardworking friendly owners that provide wonderful food at very reasonable prices make this place a diamond in the rough of Hammond Indiana. I find it fast and easy to order food that arrives promptly via the use of my food that one accesses the menu via one's camera after being focused on a QR Code on their dining tables. Likewise old school photo menus are available that one can read off of can be used to place one's order to a server as well. The place has expanded into the building next door to meet the needs of the demands of its very loyal customer base. If you're not one of their loyal customers, it's most likely because you haven't tried them yet. I would have posted a review of this place long ago but I've waited until now as I didn't want to wait for a table which was a common occurrence prior to them enlarging thier dining room. Thus the best kept secret can now be stated. "Asian Kitchen is the best at what they do!"

I also had the salt and pepper shrimp which to me was more like shrimp fajitas, but it was tasty and lastly, I also had the shrimp cake sandwich. There were a couple little pieces of shrimp cake in there and that was OK. I would like to try more of their dishes, so I will definitely be back to try something else.

I've dined here quite a lot this past year. 100% of my orders have been takeout or delivery. Every…read moresingle time the food has been FRESH, ON TIME, and nothing has been missing or made incorrectly from my order. This most recent time I had the Sweet and Sour Chicken, Szechuan Beef & The Peanut Butter Won Tons! The Sweet & Sour Chicken is just basic fried chicken pieces, some white rice, and the sweet & sour sauce w/pineapple, green pepper, onion & tomato. I just love the blend of tangy sauce with the fried chicken and the texture of the rice. It's comforting and tasty. You can't go wrong here. The Szechuan Beef was a bit spicy (it's labeled as such) which is what I wanted; filled with cabbage, onion, broccoli, and peppers along with tender juicy strips of beef in a tangy spicy sauce. It is also served with a side of white rice (You can sub fried rice for an additional charge). My favorite part and the item I look forward to the most here is the Peanut Butter Won Tons! They are crispy, crunchy and filled with a sweet peanut butter filling. It's like dessert. SO GOOD! You get quite a few of them (6-7) for the appetizer. I've tried noodle dishes, egg foo young, and even the BBQ Pork app...everything is great. Love this place. I have NOT dined in yet, but I enjoy takeout Chinese - I usually have food for another day after as well.

We chose your establishment to celebrate Valentine's Day with my son, daughter-in-law, and…read moregrandchildren. Unfortunately, what should have been a special family evening turned into a disappointing and unacceptable experience. When my son and his family arrived, they were told they had to remain in the waiting area. He politely asked why they couldn't be seated inside and was told it was because their party exceeded four people. When my husband and I arrived shortly after, I asked the same question and was given the exact same explanation. However, the dining area was nearly empty -- only two couples were seated inside at the time. Shortly afterward, a larger family (five or more people) walked in and was immediately seated indoors. At that point, it was clear that the reasoning given to us was inconsistent. After I addressed the situation, another staff member stepped in, apologized, and attempted to make things right, even offering a complimentary drink. While I acknowledge that effort, the issue was not about a free drink. It was about how my family was treated from the start. The way my son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren were initially handled was unacceptable and left a lasting impression. Good food does not excuse poor or inconsistent treatment. This experience reflects a need for better communication, consistency, and customer service standards. Because of this, I will not be returning. I hope this is taken seriously so that other families do not experience the same treatment.
